True Love Never Dies

[January 5th, 2019 Saturday]

[9:00AM]

Me and Shaun got up early to get ready for service that morning. I had already showered and brushed my teeth so i just got dressed while Shaun quickly showered. I wore this navy dress that had ruffles down the dress. It was church appropriate.

I went into the kitchen to make some coffee. I see Shaun coming out of the room dressed in his navy suit with the tie i bought a few months back for our anniversary. He was very handsome in anything he wore to me. Shaun came out to have some coffee. My cell phone started to ring.

Jana answers her cell phone, “hello?”

“Jana, are you guys coming?” Joyce asks over the phone.

“Yeah, we’re coming.” Jana says over the phone.

Joyce says, “hurry! Wendy and Will wants to see you guys!”

Jana giggles & says, “alright!”

Me and Shaun left the apartment towards the car outside. As we were on our way to the Kingdom Hall, i got a group text message from my girls from high school.

Payton : we need to meet to talk about the trip.
Jana : i'm free later today at 2 if you guys want to meet up over coffee or something.
Caroline : yeah okay. I could do 2.
Bailee : me too! You guys should facetime me!
Payton : okay 2 it is then.
Jana : our usual cafe place at the Grove?
Caroline : yes ma’am.
Bailee : awesome! See you girls then!

“Is it okay if you drop me off at The Grove after lunch?” Jana asks Shaun.

“Sure. your meeting with your girlfriends there?” Shaun says & asks.

Jana says happily, “yeah. We’re going to discuss Caroline’s bachelorette vacation.”

Shaun says, “i'm glad that you and your girlfriends are still meeting up despite everyone’s busy schedule.”

“Yeah. We try to make time for each other as much as we still can.” Jana says.

“I’m happy that you have them. And you have us too.” Shaun smiles & says as he drives.

Jana smiles & says, “and i'm grateful to have met you guys too.”

Shaun asks curiously, “so do you know where you want to go for Caroline’s bachelorette vacation?”

“We’re thinking of a cruise ship vacation for a week”, Jana says.

“I've never been but i really want to one day with all of our close friends and family”, Shaun says.

Jana agrees, “so do i.”

After a little while in the car, i got a phone call from Jaelynn.

Jaelynn says over the phone sobbing, “me and Joon got into another fight. I think its serious this time.”

“Oh my gosh. What happened? Did you two argue about something?” Jana asks in shock over the phone.

Shaun looks at me after hearing that and wanting to know what happened while driving.

“Joon is already talking about getting married and me moving in with him. He said how i didnt want because i didn't response to him or gave him an answer right away. And then he said that i'm not doing it because of my parents and such. Oh my gosh, he went on and on. I couldn't even explain myself to him. He didn't let me talk.”, Jaelynn tries to explain everything that happened over the phone in the best way possible.

Jana asks, “and then what happened?”

Jaelynn says over the phone, “i told him that i didn't want to deal with this right now. I'm planning to move back to LA after i graduate in a few months and transferring to UCLA for my graduate degree. It was something i planned for a year now. Joyce even knows and shes helping me find an apartment in LA.”

“You can just move in with Joon and go to school together”, Jana says over the phone.

“I was going to do that at one point in my life with him but after him yelling and arguing with me, it made me frustrated and he doesn't listen to what i have to say. He’s stubborn like someone i know.” Jaelynn says calmly over the phone.

Jana nods her head & says, “i know Jaelynn.”

Jaelynn says & asks, “right. I don't know what to do nor do i know what to say to Joon now. Will you talk to him for me, Jana?”

“I’ll try to talk to him for you Jaelynn”, Jana says over the phone.

“Thanks Jana. please talk to him for me.” Jaelynn says.

Jana says, “will do. See you later.”

Jaelynn says over the phone, “see you in a little bit.”

I hung up the phone with Jaelynn and continued talking to Shaun.

“What was that about?” Shaun asks.

“It was Jaelynn. She and Joon had an argument.” Jana says.

Shaun asks while driving, “about what?”

Jana says, “Joon is already thinking about marriage and moving in together.”

“But the both of them are still too young to get married. They are still in school. It's not something you think about now.” Shaun says.

“Well Jaelynn said after she graduates in a few months, she was going to move back to LA from SF. she was going to transfer to UCLA for her graduate degree here. And Joyce is helping her find an apartment.” Jana explains to Shaun making him understand.

Shaun says while driving, “he’s my little brother and i know him. He makes decisions really fast and sometimes doesn’t think through with it. He just knows what's best for him and the people important in his life.”

Shaun continues to say & asks, “if Jaelynn is going to move back here then why don't she move in with Joon and not get married?”

“She wants to change her plans to that but you know Joon. he doesn't listen to what she has to say.” Jana says.

“Maybe you should talk to him”, Shaun says.

Jana asks jokingly & says, “why me? He’s your youngest brother.”

Shaun says, “because everytime i try to talk to him, he ignores me and doesn’t listen to what i have to say.”

“And he’ll listen to someone like me?” Jana giggles & asks curiously.

“He’ll definitely listen to you, everyone listens to you.” Shaun says while driving.

Jana gets confused & asks, “what is that suppose to mean?”

Shaun giggles & says, “i'm not saying it in a bad way. I'm saying that everyone likes you and wants to talk to you Jana.”

“Oh. sorry, i didn't understand what you meant there.” Jana realizes what Shaun said & says to him.

“No need to apologize. Your cute when you get confused.” Shaun laughs & says.

Jana laughs shyly & says jokingly, “your weird.”
