Future Plans.
Me and Shaun made it to the Kingdom Hall safely. We promised each other that we would be supportive to each other's religion and go to these events together despite our different religions. We greeted everyone as we walked in together. I saw Joyce and Ben's kids running towards me as I stood there talking to Skye. I gave both Wendy and Will big hugs and carried the both of them. Wendy was getting so big and Will was growing up so fast. When Joyce came, Wendy and Kyle ran off to play with the other kids. We stood on the side to talk for a little while.
Joyce says happily, “Jana. I have to tell you something and I think your going to like this news.”
“What is it?” Jana asks not knowing anything.
“Me and Ben are expecting baby number 3”, Joyce says excitedly but whispers it quietly.
Jana asks in shock, “already? How many months are you in now?”
Joyce says, “2 months.”
“Isn't it great timing? Their two years apart from each other.” Joyce asks & says.
“I’m so happy for you but are you guys going to have anymore kids after that?” Jana says happily & asks.
Joyce says, “well, we talked about it a while back. Ben wants at least one more kid but i want to stop because i'm tired and i want to work more to help Ben out.”
Jana says, “well if you need someone to babysit, me and Shaun are there for you guys.”
“I know you guys are”, Joyce giggles & says.
“There’s something i have to tell you too, Joyce”, Jana says.
Joyce asks not knowing anything, “what is it?”
Jana says in whisper, “i’m pregnant.”
“With you know who?”, Joyce asks in shock.
“Yeah. i found out yesterday when i was at the doctors.” Jana smiles & says.
Joyce says happily, “now you two can get married.”
Jana says, “umm, we’re still discussing our future plans.”
“You two have to get married since your pregnant”, Joyce says encouraging Jana.
“We’re thinking about it but you can't tell anyone about this, especially not Shaun”, Jana whispers.
Joyce whispers back, “i got it. Congrats.”
The meeting finally started and we all sat together in the back to listen to the brother speak. After an hour and a half, we went out for service. Before doing so, i went to talk to Joon who was sitting at the front of the room.
Jana asks Joon, “are you doing alright Joon?”
Joon says & asks, “i’m doing fine, why?”
“Jaelynn told me that you guys argued about something. I just wanted to see if your okay.” Jana says.
“I want me and Jaelynn to take the next steps in our life since we’ve been together for so long now”, Joon says.
Jana asks, “did you ask Jaelynn what she wanted instead of choosing it for her?”
Joon says, “i always thought she wanted the same things as me.”
“Sometimes, it's not like that Joon. you have to think about the other person as well.” Jana says.
“Did Jaelynn say anything to you?” Joon asks.
Jana says, “i can't tell you that. You have to ask her yourself and try to listen to her Joon.”
Joon smiles & says, “okay. Thanks Jana.”
At this moment, Jaelynn came out of building and walking towards the car. I see Joon running after her to talk to her.
“Jaelynn, can we talk for a second?” Joon asks Jaelynn.
“Not now, not here.” Jaelynn says & goes into the car.
Joon asks as standing outside the car, “then when?”
Jaelynn says, “when we come back from service.”
Joyce says happily, “Jana. I have to tell you something and I think your going to like this news.”
