Fights.
Shauns POV.
I was in my office trying to do some work when Andrew comes running my office. He pants heavily trying to catch his breath.
Shaun asks, “why are you panting?”
“You tell that fiancé of yours that she needs us to protect her”, Andrew says trying to catch his breath.
“I'm pretty sure she knows that already”, Shaun says as he smiles.
Andrew asks, “did you know that she went to talk to your mom?”
Shaun looks at Andrew & asks in Korean, “when?”
“For lunch, just now. I was there.” Andrew says.
“What did my mom want with Jana?” Shaun asks curiously trying to find the answers.
Andrew says, “your mom said she made a deal with Jana.”
Shaun's face in shock & says, “I'm scared to know what that deal was.”
“Neither did your mom and Jana told me. But you have to ask Jana yourself so that you can talk some sense into your mom.” Andrew says.
“Jana will tell me, would she? If i asked her?” Shaun questions not knowing anything.
Andrew says, “just try talking to her. She’ll tell you.”
Shaun says, “go to work Andrew. I’ll handle it tonight when i get home from work.”
“Talk some sense in her for me”, Andrew says as he walks away.
I shaked my head and smiled as watching Andrew leave my office.
[5:00PM]
Jana’s POV.
The school was released and I went to my car. I felt a little nauseous and felt like throwing up. I opened my car door and leaned down to throw up. Oh my gosh, I could be…. Could be pregnant. So i rushed to the hospital to get a check up. I parked my car in the hospital garage and walked up the 5th floor. I checked in and sat there waited for my profile to be called. I was anxious to see what the results were and i just told myself that i was just ill.
“Jana Lily, profile 62. Please come to front window”, The receptionist calls out a profile.
After hearing my name get called, i took a deep breath and walked up to the window.
Jana says to the receptionist, “I’m Jana Lily, profile 62.”
The receptionist says, “the doctor would like to see you now. Please go to room 2B down the hall.”
“Thank you”, Jana says.
I walked to the doors and went inside to room 2B. I see the doctor sitting there and i took my seat right in front of her.
“What's wrong Jana?” The Doctor asks looking at Jana’s profile.
Jana explains her symptoms & asks, “i'm developing symptoms like vomiting out of nowhere and being nauseous sometimes. Maybe i'm sick?”
The doctor asks, “did you eat anything that you haven't eaten before in your life?”
“No. i try to eat healthy on a normal schedule every day.” Jana says.
“I'm going to have you take a urine sample, just to see if everything is alright.” The Doctor says.
The Doctor gave me the cup for the urine sample and i made my way to the restroom there. After a while, i came out and gave the Doctor back the cup. The Doctor had told me to wait outside while she has someone tested for the results. I waited in the waiting room for half an hour and the doctor called me back inside. I sat back down and she talked to me again.
The doctor asks, “how long did you experience these symptoms for?”
Jana says, “for a few weeks now.”
“So i've got the results from the urine sample and you are 5 weeks pregnant.” The doctor says as she reads her clipboard.
“Congratulations Miss Lily”, The doctor smiles & says.
Jana smiles & says, “thank you so much.”
The doctor explains, “our office only does regular patient check ups so i would have to transfer you to an OB-GYN doctor in the next week or so. We will send over papers to your new doctor and from there, they will take care of everything for you. They will help you with monthly check ups, ultrasound scanning, and all the way to the delivery date.”
“Once the papers are transferred over to the new doctor, they will contact you for the following check up or so.” The doctor says.
“Alright. Thank you so much doctor.” Jana smiles & says.
[7:00PM]
I walked to my car and went home. When i came home, i see Shaun in the kitchen finish making dinner and setting up the table. I went into the kitchen to see him and talked to him.
Shaun says in Korean, “your back.”
Jana smiles & says, “Oh. smells great.”
“Why don't you go wash up and come out have dinner with me?” Shaun asks.
“Okay”, Jana says in Korean.
I went to take a shower and changed into my pajamas. Then i came out to eat dinner with Shaun in the dining area of our apartment. Shaun started on asking me questions about my day and what i did. And i kind of figure that he had found out from Andrew that i went to talk to his mom during my lunch break.
Shaun asks, “how was your day?”
Jana says, “it was great.”
“Did anything good happen?” Shaun continues to ask curiously.
“Yes and no.” Jana says continuing on eating her food.
Shaun asks, “what was it?”
Jana asks, “you know, don’t you?”
“Why didn't you tell me that you went to see my mom at lunch today? I had to hear it from Andrew!” Shaun asks & gets mad.
“I don't know what to do anymore Shaun. Everything is moving too fast and i feel like we’re rushing to get married.” Jana says in frustration and sadness in her eyes.
Shaun says calmly Jana, “we’re just getting started and moving one day at a time.”
Jana says, “your mom made a deal with me earlier today. She said that i have to break up with you in order to make her happy. And if i dont, the grant for the school i wanted to build is going to go down the drain.”
“Well, im not letting her do that. You mean the world to me Jana and i can't let you go. I promised to protect you, remember.” Shaun says.
“But what if that protection is meant to be broken by the ones you love?” Jana asks.
Shaun says in Korean, “i love you Jana and i’m not going to let that happen to you or me.”
Jana asks, “you don't think I don't love you? Cause I do a lot.”
“I think maybe your mom is right about us. We should just take a break from everything and think about this.” Jana continues to say.
“Well, I don't want to.” Shaun says.
Jana says, “it's the only way to make her happy. We have to think about her too Shaun.”
Shaun says, “she never thought of you as her own daughter or daughter in law. We should do our own thing.”
I was nervous and scared so i kept my mouth shut about the pregnancy. So i wanted to wait until i get back from the vacation with the girls to tell him. What can i say? I chickened out and wanted this to be a surprised. But then again, i know one day that Shaun would be a great father to our child.
