We walked shoulder to shoulder back to her apartment silent. I didn't know what to say to her after the festival and I'm pretty sure she said enough. Hearing her saying all of that just made me so upset, my death caused her to be in pain. It's been 3 years...but it only felt like a dream.

"Hey," she says looking at me, "it was nice going to the lantern festival, it's been a while since I've been there so, thanks for...forcing me to go I guess." she smiled. Her smile...could light up the world...so mesmerizing.

"Uh, Jeongguk?"

"Ah, oh, um, yes." I answered clearing my throat coming back into reality, "Yeah, don't mention it, we all gotta get out and have fun sometimes and to also show our beautiful faces to people." I winked.

She burst out into laughter, which is what I was aiming for. "Beautiful faces?" she questioned chuckling,

"Yeah, I mean we're both good looking people! But I think I'm more prettier," I touched my face

She laughs again hitting me on the shoulder, "Wow vain Jeongguk is coming out tonight huh. Y'know, you kinda remind me of someone saying that..."

Crap. Too much Seokjin, but how can I not be me?

"nothing, it's nothing," she queitly snickered.

We reached outside her apartment, "well, thank you for walking me home." "Yeah, of course anytime," I replied.

She turned around to open the lobby door but turned back to look at me, it feels awkward because I feel like I should hug her or something..totally inappropriate, especially between a student and a teacher. Just before she turned back Jimin was coming down the stairs, he paused looking at Subin with an unreadable expression...and then at me.
