So Much For Being Siblings

Jimin's P.O.V.

I kept looking out the window, wondering when Kana was going to get back. Finally, after what seemed like years, I saw Kana walk up to the house. But she wasn't alone. I walked towards the window to have a better view of who she was walking with.

It was Rapmonster.

Why was Kana walking with him? Are they friends? Were they always friends?

My questioned were answered by what happened next. I saw Rapmonster lean closer to Kana and gave her a peck on her lips. Kana didn't push him away. Instead a big smile spread across her face. As Rapmonster left, Kana walked through the door, right into me.

She seemed surprised for a second. Then she greeted me with a warm tone. But I've never felt more distant from her.

"Did you eat?" I asked her, attempting to start up a conversation.
"Yep." Kana replied without even looking back.

I bit my lips and tried again. "Where did you eat?"

Without even a moment of hesitation, she answered, "Rapmon took me out to eat."

On purpose or not, those words shot me straight in the chest. But there was a question I was dying to ask her. "Are you and Rapmonster a thing?"

While Kana walked towards her room, without even glancing at me she said, "If you mean if I am dating him, then yes. We are a thing."

And that was it. Kana went inside her room and I didn't get the chance to speak to her. I just sat on my bed in my own bedroom, sulking. I tried to convince myself that it was alright. After all, I was going to be her step-brother soon. Even if she did have feelings for me, our relationship wouldn't be able to go any further than a brother-sister relationship.

But being the stubborn person I was, I didn't care. I didn't care that even she loved me we couldn't date each other. I loved her and that's all that mattered. And now I've lost her. Even though she was never even mine.

Love is ridiculous isn't it?
