True Love Never Dies

The End.

[JUNE 15th, SATURDAY]

[Wedding Day]

[9:00am]

Jana’s POV.
It’s the day of the wedding. I’m currently 6 months pregnant and i haven't felt this great in a really long time.

I spent last night at my mother-in-law’s (Miyoung) house with all of the bridesmaids, maid of honor, and my mom. We wanted to get ready there for the morning. Shaun and the guys stayed at our apartment. So that morning, we wanted to do the traditional Vietnamese wedding where the groom and his groomsmen goes to the bride and give them the treats that are on the red trays. Its a traditional for the guys to bring it over to the girl house so they could pick up the girl as well. All of the groomsmen passed the trays onto the bridesmaids to bring inside of the house.

The groomsmen were already dressed in their tuxedos. Shaun came into the house and changed into his blue Ao Dai. I also wore my red Ao Dai dress. Shaun walked me towards the shrine where my mom set it up in the living room. We took the incense, prayed, and put in on the altar. Then my mom, brother (Jay), and Annette sat on the chairs. It was one of the other traditions to do the tea ceremony which means the family have accepted you into their family. We knelt down and drank the tea and so did my mom, Jay, and Annette.

[3:00pm]

Jaelynn’s POV.
After the Vietnamese traditional ceremony, Jana and Shaun changed into their traditional Korean wedding gowns (Hanbok) to do the Korean celebration. They were so nice and i liked how Jana wanted to capture both their nationalities in one wedding day.

Once the Korean celebration was over, the groom, groomsmen, bride, bridesmaid all changed into their normal clothes. The guests took a separate bus while the guys and girls took their own buses to the winery venue where the walking down the aisle will take place. Janey and Jana’s mom (Tammy) helped Jana bring her clothes to the venue. We had so much in the bus and reminisce about the past, how we met and stuff. We were in the bus for 45 minutes and then arrived at the winery. We got off and went inside to get ready. Me, Joyce, Annette, Janey, Skye, Bailee, Payton, Caroline, and Sophia were Jana’s bridesmaid. Jana didn't have a maid of honor because everyone was so close to her like sisters so she did not pick one, same for Shaun as well. Jay, Ryan, Joon, Ben, Andrew, Marcel, Kevin, Darin, and Alex were Shaun’s groomsmen. None of them were his best man. Joyce’s 6 year old daughter, Wendy, and Bailee’s 5 year old daughter, Liona, were our flower girls. Joyce’s son, Will, are the ring bearer. So we (the 9 of us) changed into our bridesmaid dresses that were light blue and mix match at the top of dress but the same color and bottom style.

When we were done, we helped Wendy, Liona, and Will get dressed. Some of us helped Jana, her mom, and Miyoung with their dresses as well. Tammy wore this beautiful long burgundy dress that was off the shoulder. It made her look very slim and young. Miyoung wore this light blue lace dress that was longer in the back and shorter in the front. Wendy and Liona wore this white puffy little girls dress with handmade flower crowns. They were so cute and beautiful. Will wore a classic black and white suit holding the rings.

The groomsmen wore a light grey suit, light blue tie, with white shirt on the inside, and a small flower pinned on the suit nicely.

We all went over to Jana’s room and saw her dressed in her beautiful white dress. It was the most beautiful wedding dress i've ever seen in my life. Even though Jana was 6 months pregnant, the dress looked stunning on her. It had lace at the top where the off the shoulder was and very flowy at the bottom. It was designed with half sleeves which made it more unique for her to wear.

All of the girls teared up a little because Jana looked so beautiful and she was the second to get married out of all of us. Once we got dressed, the ceremony started with the music playing. Shaun walked down the aisle by himself first to the front. Then it was Annette and Jay’s turn to walk down the aisle. After them was Janey and Ryan’s turn holding arm to arm together. Me and Joon were next and we walked down the aisle together to our place at the front. The music kept playing and it was Joyce and Ben’s turn. Skye and Andrew, Bailee and Marcel, Payton and Kevin, Caroline and Darin, Sophia and Alex. The aisle was beautifully decorated with white cloth down the middle, white chairs, two bouquet of flowers on both sides of the chairs, and a curtain entrance way.

Shaun was dressed so fresh. He wore this dark blue suit, light blue tie, white collar shirt, light blue hankerchief in the pocket that peeked up, and a yellow flower bouquet pinned to his suit.

Joon’s POV.
Wendy and Liona walked down the aisle throwing flowers on the floor holding each other’s hand. Then everyone looked over to where Jana was standing at the start of the aisle in her white dress and veil. There she was, very beautiful. I could tell that Shaun was speechless too when seeing her. She was being escorted by her mom, Tammy, and Shaun’s mom, Miyoung. The reason why Jana’s dad didn't give her away was because he didn't even bother to come to his own daughter’s wedding. So the three of them slowly walked down the aisle in rhythm of the piano music playing. Once Jana reached Shaun at the front of the aisle, Miyoung and Tammy gave Jana off to Shaun letting him hold her hands. Jana held onto Shaun and they both of them faced the priest. The priest began to make the speech.

The priest announces to everyone, “We gather here to unite these two people in marriage. Their decision to marry has not been entered into lightly and today they publicly declare their private devotion to each other. The essence of this commitment is the acceptance of each other in entirety, as lover, companion, and friend. A good and balanced relationship is one in which neither person is overpowered nor absorbed by the other, one in which neither person is possessive of the other, one in which both give their love freely and without jealousy. Marriage, ideally, is a sharing of responsibilities, hopes, and dreams. It takes a special effort to grow together, survive hard times, and be loving and unselfish.”

The priest continues to say, “Both Jana and Shaun had written their own vows. Shaun, please say yours first.”

“Jana. I vow to love you for as long as i can remember and promise to give you the whole world. Not just you but our kids as well. I want to be there when it rains or on a sunny day, to protect you. Without you, i wouldn't be where i am today. I love that you support me in everything i do and i vow to do the same for you. I vow to watch Friends with you every night even when we watched it a million times already. I promise to keep the seat down after i use the toilet. And i promise to grow alongside you, but also to never grow up.” Shaun reads from his vow envelope to Jana.

“Now it’s you turn Jana”, the priest says to Jana.

Jana takes the vow envelope from Annette & reads holding back her tears, “Shaun. Your name is the definition of who you are. S is for your silliness and how you are always funny and can make me laugh all the time. H is for your honestly. You tell me everything and anything going on in your life and i love you for that. A is for your awesomeness, just because you are. U is for you and me because i know together, we can conquer the world just the two of us. And N is for never ending. I will never give up on anything you do and will be there to support you. I love you and i can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”

The priest asks to Shaun, “do you, Shaun Song, pledge to share your lives openly with one another, and
to speak the truth in love? Do you promise to honor and tenderly care for Jana, cherish and encourage each other, stand together, through sorrows and joys, hardships and triumphs for all the days of your lives?”

“I do”, Shaun smiles happily & says.

“Do you, Jana Lily, pledge to share your lives openly with one another, and to speak the truth in love? Do you promise to honor and tenderly care for Jana, cherish and encourage each other, stand together, through sorrows and joys, hardships and triumphs for all the days of your lives?” The priest asks Jana.

Jana smiles brightly & says, “i do.”

The priest continues to ask Shaun & Jana, “Do you both pledge to share your love and the joys of your marriage with all those around you, so that they may learn from your love and be encouraged to grow in their own lives?”

“We do”, Jana and Shaun says in unison happily while looking at each other.

At this point, Will stands in the middle of Shaun and Jana with the ring box holding it up.

“May the rings be blessed as a symbol of your union. As often as either of you look upon these rings, may you not only be reminded of this moment, but also of the vows you have made and the strength of your commitment to each other.” The priest says.

The priest says to Shaun, “Shaun, please repeat after me….. I Shaun, promise to love and support you Jana and live each day with kindness, understanding, truth, humor, and passion. With this ring I thee wed.”

Shaun takes Jana’s hand & repeats the vow while places the ring on Jana’s finger, “I Shaun, promise to love and support you Jana and live each day with kindness, understanding, truth, humor, and passion. With this ring I thee wed.”

“Jana, please repeat after me…. I Jana, promise to love and support you Shaun and live each day with kindness, understanding, truth, humor, and passion. With this ring I thee wed.” The priest says to Jana.

“I Jana, promise to love and support you Shaun and live each day with kindness, understanding, truth, humor, and passion. With this ring I thee wed.” Jana takes Shaun’s hand & repeats the vow while places the ring on Shaun’s finger.

“Go now in peace and live in love, sharing the most precious gifts you have- the gifts of your lives united. And may your days be long on this earth. I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.” The priest says.

Jana and Shaun kissed and were so happy with each other and walked down the aisle holding each other’s hand happily together. After the ceremony was over, all of the guests went to the reception area to sit in their tables. Jana and Shaun stayed outside to take some pictures with all of the bridesmaid and groomsmen together. The pictures came out super pretty and nice. Jana and Shaun took one with their backs against each other and the other with Jana leaning her face on Shaun’s shoulders while he looks back at her. It was very romantic. Then the bridesmaids took pictures with Jana being in the middle with her wedding dress. After that, the groomsmen took one with all of us together in our suits with us taking the blazers off standing behind the trees. Then we took one with both the bridesmaid and groomsmen on each side with Jana and Shaun in the middle kissing each other.

Andrew’s POV.
When we were done taking the pictures, we headed to the reception to celebrate some more and eat dinner together. The tables were clothed with light blue and a really nice floral centerpiece that matched Jana’s bouquet. The chairs were white and gold which accented the tables really well. The cake looked very classic with 2 tiers of light blue cake with just a few flowers on it. The top of the cake were hand sculpted by the bakery just for Jana and Shaun. It were fondant dolls of them in their Vietnamese Ao Dai and Korean Hanbok dresses. It was the cutest thing i've ever seen.

Eugene’s POV.
For the rest of the evening, we ate amazing food and danced out butts off with each other. Everyone was there to celebrate Jana and Shaun’s big day. People from the congregation, Jana’s family from Vietnam & relatives she grew up with, Shaun’s work friends, cousins from out of state flew in for the wedding as well. Basically, everyone were there for them and happily celebrated with them. At the end of the night, they cut the cake and then shared a dance together for the first time. Jana and Shaun were so happy with each other and finally married after what they’ve been through. We were all so happy for them.

Jana’s POV.
The wedding was everything that I dreamed of and to get to do it with Shaun, I was more than happy with him. I’m so happy to see what life takes us and how we’re going to raise this child. I look forward to today on out for a beautiful life with Shaun. He has always been my true love and I’d never realized it until the very last minute of our lives. You can say that our love never dies and with that, true love never dies. Shaun’s great and he’s going to be a wonderful father to my kids one day. Well, actually in 3 months.

You might be wondering what happened to other people’s lives. Bailee already took over the academy i use to work for and became the principal there. In her free time, she helps kids draw and paint. For Caroline, she just got the news that she is currently pregnant. Payton is about to give birth to her baby girl any minute now. Yes, she's a few weeks early. Marcel got transferred to the company Shaun and Ryan owns. Ryan and Janey are finding their own happiness and cherishing everything together. Andrew and Skye are getting married next year, as the planned date. Alex and Sophia are taking one day at a time and in their dating phase. John is taking care of his son and starting to find dates around LA. Joyce and Ben are already happy with their two kids and are even happy with another baby girl coming in a month or so. For Shaun’s mom, Miyoung, she decided to take a big break from being a businesswoman and traveling the world on her own. She went to see the world. For my mom, Tammy, she is currently living with us in our new big house. And for Jaelynn, she moved back to LA after graduating from her art school in San Francisco. She moved in with Joon in their little house and are happy together. She is currently finishing up her graduate school at UCLA with her transferred credits. Joon graduated and found a job that would support him and Jaelynn. For me, the academy that i built has successfully opened and parents have enrolled their kids there. It was going better than i thought and i could've done it with the guys and girls at the congregation. Now that im too big, i decided to take a maternity leave for 5 months which im having Eugene watch the academy for me while i'm gone. Eugene? You ask? Well, he made up his mind about what he wanted to do. He was going to give the teacher thing a shot for the first 5 months and give his thought after i come back. If he didnt like then he was going to go back to his HR job at the company. I have a feeling he won't leave us because i know how much he loves to help people and make a difference. So yeah, that's what life is like now.

I’m Jana Lily and this is my life. As i grew up, i never knew what it was like to love someone so deeply like i love Shaun. He is everything i’d wished for and my dreams had came true. Find someone who’s always there to support your dreams and someone who would stand by your side every step of the way. People like Shaun don’t come around very often in your life so you need to cherish it if he appears in your life. Though we had our ups and downs (more of downs), we got over it and fix our problems right away. We have each other to solve these problems and we learned to work it out. I’d also realize that it takes two people to make one life happen. Shaun’s different in every way and i love him for that. He’s caring, loving to friends and family, though sometimes stubborn, and a hard worker. I love him and i will always cherish him.

Also, don't be afraid to find love elsewhere. Because the love you find, will always be the love that will carry on with you. The important people in your life are love and you gotta appreciate it. You know i did when i met Shaun and i couldn't do it without the help of my friends and family. You need to take that risk in life in order to know what's coming. I thank myself everyday for taking that leap of faith and risk in talking to Shaun. It’s easier said than done. Take advice from someone like me because i have experienced it, a lot.

Thank you for reading. If you like this story then i’ll write one more part which is the future of Jana and Shaun.

The End.

Notes

This is the last of it! I hope you all stayed and read the entire story. If I get enough views then I'll make a new story to Jana's and Shaun's life with their grown up kids. Thank you for reading! :)
