Zip lining.
Bailee’s POV.
We finished eating and headed out of the boat with our backpacks and things. We finally got to the Mahogany Bay. There was a huge sign and we had to take a picture of it together as a group. We also took pictures of each other too. Jana’s facetime thing rang and she went to the side to answer it.
“Hey babe”, Jana answering & holding up her cell phone as facetime.
Shaun asks holding up his cell phone as facetime too & holding up the file he found, “can you tell me what this is?”
Jana looks closely at the screen, realizes her medical file, & asks, “where did you find that?”
“Jaelynn and Joon found it. And i got a call from the OB-GYN just now.” Shaun says.
“We’ll talk about it when i get back to LA, i promise.” Jana says.
Shaun asks, “is it ours? The baby?”
Jana nods her head through the screen & says, “we’ll talk later. I love you.”
I see Jana hanging up her phone in a quickness. She walked back to us and acted like nothing happened. And from there, we continued to begin our day. We all walked out of the souvenir shops area and towards the taxi service. The people were working in the sun so Payton and Caroline stood in the shade while me and Jana goes over to see how much the city tours were. They had a good deal going on which was a half city tour including ziplining and zoo exploring too. And it was all for $25.00 each person so that was $100.00 total which was a freaking steal. So the driver took us everywhere. First was the village souvenir shops where the locals sold unique souvenirs outside. It was on this mountain where you could see everything at the bottom. Trees and the skies were so nice. It was definitely a beautiful day.
After just taking pictures and buying a few things as gifts, the driver drove us to this rum factory that was only 5 minutes away. The four of us went inside and tried some mexican rum and bought a few samples from the place.
Then the driver drove us to this small beach where no one swims at. They just go there to see not swim. We got off and took some pictures. It was nothing but ocean water.
After the small ocean area, the driver drove us to this botanical garden and zoo that came with the package. There were various different types of flowers, like nothing we’ve seen before. We also saw different animals too. They were so cute in their cages and we got to feed some monkeys food too.
Then we headed out of the zoo and walked up this hill that lead us somewhere. When we made it, there were only this little cottage thing where there was only like 3 people working there. Jana runs towards it and asked about the activity. Me, Payton, and Caroline just sat down on the rocks waiting. After 15 minutes of standing there, Jana came to us to tell us.
“Do i even want to know what we’re going to do Jana?” Payton asks Jana trying to catch her breath.
“Come on guys. Get up and let's have a little fun now.” Jana says in excitement.
Bailee asks, “what are we doing?”
Jana smiles & says, “ziplining.”
“ZIP LINING??!!!” Bailee, Caroline, and Payton says in unison out loud in shock.
“Are you out of your mind? I can not be in the air within 100 feet of the ground!” Payton says scaredly & panicking.
Jana says, “we have to face our fears now or else we won't ever get the chance to. Just dont think of it as a height problem but an experience of a lifetime.”
Payton refuses, “i'm not doing it! You all are out of your minds!”
“Come on Pay! It’s not like you are doing it on your own. We’re gonna do it too.” Caroline says with encouragement to Payton.
“I hate you guys!” Payton says in fear.
Bailee smiles & jokingly says to Payton, “we love you too.”
Jana says while handing each one a helmet, “i had already paid for it so you can't back down now.”
“Don't we have to sign a death contract or something before we do this?” Payton asks as putting on the helmet.
“It’s not that bad”, Bailee says putting on the helmet.
The two guys (Pedro & Juan) who were going with us put the harness on us and i felt a little safer. I was a little scared too so i knew what Payton was thinking.
Pedro asks, “are you ladies ready to go?”
Jana says in excitement, “of course!”
We followed Pedro and Juan to the site and it was the most beautiful scenery we saw. The first rope was short so it was a bit easy for us. Pedro want first to the other side and Jana was next. She slide through happily to the other side. Then it was my turn. I took a breath and slide through. As i reached the other side, i felt a relief and refreshing feeling. After me was Caroline. She liked it a lot and the wind got her hair. Me, Jana, and Caroline were on the other side watching Payton go. We screamed ‘you can do it’ and ‘go pay’ to give her some encouragement.
“You are sure this is safe, right?” Payton asks Juan one more time to make sure it is.
“Don't worry. We have done this a million times.” Juan says.
Payton asks trying to face her fears, “you sure right?”
Juan says, “if your scared, just scream and let it out.”
“Okay. i can do this.” Payton says.
“I’ll be behind you. Just look forward, your friends are waiting for you on the other side.” Juan says with encouragement.
Payton smiles & says, “okay.”
And there goes Payton who slide to us. She did it and we couldn't be more proud. Then we walked uphill together.
Bailee asks Payton, “so what did you think of that first one?”
“That was so fast and fun”, Payton says.
“You should see the last one, its crazy.” Pedro says.
Caroline asks, “the last one?”
Pedro says, “the two upcoming ones are small but the last one is very long and much more fun.”
“AWESOME!” Jana says excitedly.
“Nothing scares you huh?” Payton asks Jana jokingly.
We all laughed together and moved onwards. We zip lined for the two smaller ones like the first one. Then we made it to the last rope. It was so long like longer than my house in New York City. it was definitely crazy but we managed to overcome our fear and did it together.
