The Missing Piece

[SATURDAY APRIL 1ST]
[4AM]
Caroline’s POV.
It was the first time that i woke up earlier than the others. I took advantage of using the bathroom and getting ready. I wore a loose black v-neck t-shirt, light blue high waisted skinny jeans, black knitted cardigan with white stripes down the middle, white and black adidas, and wore my Harry Potter round glasses to hide away my morning ugliness. I brought my black leather backpack for comfort.

It was the morning we head out to NYC and meeting with Bailee. We thought about spending some time with her there since she was already staying there with Marcel for the past few days. So after getting ready and putting my clothes back into my suitcase, i woke up Payton and Jana who fell asleep on the floor in the living room. I carried my suitcase down to Jana’s car while Payton and Jana got ready.

Payton came out of the bathroom wearing a black and white stripe long sleeve tucked into her navy floral skater skirt, navy knitted long sleeve cardigan, teal converse shoes, simple triangle long necklace, and wearing her prescription Rayban glasses. She took her Michael Kors handbag on the trip to make it easier.

Jana then came out of her room wearing a white v-neck t-shirt, blue skinny jeans, grass green knitted cardigan, all white converse shoes, with her hair naturally curled down. She brought her beige leather backpack on the trip to make every easier to carry.

Afterwards, we took all of our suitcases and got ready to leave. We left Jana’s apartment and went down to the garage where her car was. We put the suitcases in the trunk of her car and drove to the airport, LAX. it was a 20 minute drive and arrived at the parking area. We parked, paid the attendee, and went into the airport to check in. Since Payton went to London a couple of years ago, she knew what to do and took charge. She checked in our suitcases and gotten our plane ticket at the airline desk. Me and Jana stood behind Payton waiting. After checking in our suitcase and getting our ticket, us three walked ourselves to the gate of the plane. As soon as we arrived at the gate of our flight, we sat down at the empty chairs. There were so many people there going on this flight to NYC. While we waited for the flight to board, Bailee contacted us through Caroline’s facetime. We answer in sync and Bailee was so happy to see us together again.

“Hey girlies! Are you guys at the airport now?”, Bailee says and asks in excitement.

Caroline says, “We just checked in our suitcases and now waiting for the plane to board.”

“I'm so hungry. NYC better have some bomb food. This girl right here is starving.” Payton says in her cranky tone.

Bailee says over the phone, “Of course there are bomb food here. I’ll take you girls somewhere once you all arrive here.”

“It’s a bit early for you to call us. Aren't you supposedly sleeping right now?” Jana asks in curiosity.

“No. I was awake a long time ago. I was too excited to see my girls and i couldn't sleep.” Bailee yawned and says.

Payton asks, “and where’s Marcel? Is he there with you right now?”

Bailee answers Payton’s question and says, “he went back to his hometown yesterday. Yesterday was the last time i saw him.”

Jana says, “ i wish we could've met him.”

“Yeah, i know you girls do but he had to go back home to work. He misses a lot of days and they need him back there. He says that he really wanted to meet you girls.” Bailee says in sadness.

Bailee continues to say, “anyways, im staying here at the Hilton hotel in Times Square. My hotel is big enough for us so you girls can stay here with me for the next few days.”

Payton says, “nice. We should go shopping and stuff. Make the most of our time in NYC.”

Caroline says, “Yes! I always wanted to go shopping there. I bet Jana will go crazy for the sales.”

Jana smiles and says, “you guys sure know that i love them sales.”

“I’m mostly excited for Vegas. It's been so long since i've been there. I can't wait to go dancing and drinking with you girls.” Bailee says with the most excitement in her tone.

“Are you going to pick us up from the JFK airport in a few hours?” Payton asks.

“Of course! I'm going to get a cup of coffee and then head out to the airport to pick you guys up!” Bailee says.

Bailee continues to asks, “what time are you guys going to get here?”

“Around 2:45PM. It should be enough time for us to get our suitcases and get off the plane.” Jana says while looking the plane ticket.

“Alright. I’ll be here waiting for you girlies to arrive.” Bailee says.

Caroline says with excitement, “we’ll see you later then. Our flight is about to board soon.”

Bailee responds, “Okay. see you girls later. Bye.”

We all waved at Bailee over facetime and she hanged up. They were boarding already and everyone walked into the plane ready to go. For the past 5 hours, we flew from LA to NYC. Payton, Jana, and me all slept through the entire way. It was one of the nicest and comfortable sleeps in a long while.

[1:45PM]
Bailee’s POV.
Since the last time i talked to the girls over facetime, it was 11am. After that, i went down to the cafe of the hotel near the lobby. I ate some pancakes and drank orange juice. Then i went back up to my room to relax a bit. When it hit 1:45pm, i got up from my bed and gotten ready to leave. Since New York has been so cold lately, i wore a very cute but warm outfit. I wore a knitted burgundy long sleeve, green army jacket with a hood, black warm jeggings, beige knee high socks, brown knee length leather boots, brown knitted scarf around my neck. I took my shoulder purse and keys.

I closed the hotel room door and walked towards the elevator. I pressed the parking garage button and went down. Once i arrived, i rushed to my rental car and drove to the JFK airport. It was the longest drive that i drove in New York. It took me about an hour to get there despite all of the traffic that time of day. When i arrive at the airport, i parked the car in the guest parking and walked up to the arrival gate. Once i got to the main entrance of the arrival area of the airport, i took a look at the flight board. I looked at the one from LAX to NYC that was arriving at 2:45PM. I found the gate number and walked towards it. There were so many people waiting for their people to arrive. I finally made some room at the side of the entrance and waited for my girls to come out. Then i start to see people walking out of the gate with their luggages. I was happy and excited to see my girls again. Once Payton, Caroline, and Jana came out together, i called out for their names. They ran straight towards me in happiness. We hugged each other happily together. We stood there for a few minutes catching up and such.

“You girls are here! I’m so happy to see you in real life!” Bailee says in happiness.

I’d recognized how much taller Jana had gotten despite her shortness from the last time i saw her. Caroline became prettier, not that she wasn't before. She got used to wearing makeup and her fashion sense is now excellent taste. Payton looked the same, but it seems like she had been stress with work or something. So we didn't waste anymore time and walked to the parking garage. I helped Caroline with her suitcase. We walked to my car and drove back to my hotel. While on the drive back, we talked and caught up with each other.

“Jana, you’ve gotten taller then the last time i've seen you!” Bailee says as driving.

Jana smiles and says while sitting behind Bailee, “i'm still short from the last time you’ve seen me.”

Payton, Bailee, and Caroline laughs.

Bailee says to Jana, “well, i still love you and your shortness.”

“Have you been using make up lately or is it just your natural beauty?” Bailee asks Caroline.

Caroline flustered, jokingly says, and asks from the passenger seat, “why, thank you. I have been learning though. Is it okay?”

“Of course it's okay! You look so beautiful with or without it Caroline.” Bailee compliments Caroline.

“Thank you Bailee. It's been a long time since i've gotten a compliment from you.” Caroline says to Bailee.

Payton asks Bailee from sitting behind Caroline in the back seat, “And what about me? Did you forget about me?”

Bailee says, “i didn't forget about you Pay. i saved the best for last.”

“Come on, hit me with it.” Payton says with ultimate confidence.

“Have you been working too hard lately? You seem a little tired.” Bailee states out the facts.

Payton asks, “that's what you hit me with? Where's the compliment Bailee??”

Bailee continues to say, “I’ve told you to get some sleep Pay. Don't let work get to you like it always does.”

“I know, but it's been really tough lately and i feel like i don't even have a social life.” Payton says sadly.

Jana begins to say, “yeah, she doesn't even have time to get boba. She's been drinking coffee to get by her tough days.”

Caroline backs up with evidence and says, “every snapchat story from her is all about coffee. We must save her from this tragedy.”

“Oh my gosh. We need to get you to a boba shop like right now.” Bailee worried and said.

Caroline, Jana, and Bailee laughs.

After that hour was over, we had arrived in Times Square Manhattan. I drove to the Hilton hotel and parked the car in the parking garage. Then i helped Caroline, Payton, and Jana with bringing their suitcases up to the room. As soon as we arrived at the room, the three were surprised how big the room was. There was a small kitchen, large bathroom, and two beds. They went in first and dropped everything. I picked them up and took it inside of the room. I sighed and smiled in happiness that i missed hanging out with the girls and it's been so long since we last seen each other. As i put their suitcases on the floor by the desk next to the tv, the three of them jumped on the bed and laid there comfortably. I shaked my head and smiled brightly. Man, do i miss their dorkiness so much. I sat on the edge of my side of the bed.

Bailee says, “we have to establish something before we officially start our trip together.”

Caroline, Payton, and Jana sat up from their laying positions to get attention.

Caroline asks, “what is this about Bailee?”

“I know that you girls have some stuff you want to talk about but i want this trip to be drama free.” Bailee says while sitting on the edge of the bed.

“That means we can't talk about our boyfriend problems?” Payton asks.

“We can talk about it when we’re here in New York but not Vegas. I just want to be free and enjoy our girl time in Vegas. That's all i'm asking you guys.” Bailee says.

“I’m fine with that.” Jana confidently says.

Caroline agrees with Jana and says, “me too.”

Bailee asks Payton, “Payton? Do you agree too?”

Payton says not so confidently, “fine, i agree too.”

“Good. Let's rest for a bit and get some dinner later tonight.” Bailee says as she walks over to the desk.

Caroline slept on the bed while Payton was on her laptop checking some emails for work. Jana came towards me telling me something.

“I’m going to go downstairs and buy a snack to eat.” Jana says while packing her little backpack.

“Get me a sandwich or something, i'm hungry.” Payton says while typing something on her laptop.

“Okay. i’ll search for something.” Jana says while putting on her shoes.

“Be safe and come back quickly.” Bailee reminds me again, worrying for Jana.

“I’ll be okay, Bailee.” Jana says to Bailee.
