My Old Lover, Sam Vince.
Jana’s POV.
I left the hotel room with the room key and bag. While heading towards the elevators, I called Max over the phone letting him know that I had arrived in NYC. It went straight to voicemail so i left one.
Jana says over the phone, “Hey Max. I just wanted to let you know that me and the girls arrived in New York City an hour ago. We’re currently resting before heading out to dinner together. I really miss you and hope to see you again when i get back. Don’t work too hard okay babe. Well, I gotta go. Bye.”
I hung up the phone and gotten a phone call from Alex. As soon as I walked into the elevator, Alex called me.
Alex says over the phone, “Hey Jana.”
Jana says with a smile, “Hey Alex.”
“Have you arrived in New York yet?” Alex asks knowing where i’d be.
“Payton, Caroline, and me arrived about an hour ago. We’re staying at Bailee’s hotel room for the next few days.” Jana says.
Alex asks, “What are you guys doing now?”
Jana says over the phone, “we’re all just resting and going out for dinner tonight. We might walk around the city after that too.”
“Sounds like fun. Don't forget my souvenir Jana.” Alex reminds me again.
“How can i forget? Your one of the most important people i know. Does that mean i have to get you two different things in two different cities or two things in one city?” Jana asks jokingly.
Alex chuckles over the phone and says, “no cheating. You have to get me two different things in two different cities Jana.”
Jana says, “Aww, okay.”
“I'm kidding. You don't have to get me anything if you're too busy on the trip. I understand completely” Alex says not wanting to stress Jana out.
Jana giggles and says, “it's fine Alex. i’ll get you something special straight from the heart.”
“Alright. I don't want you to feel pressured in buying me stuff there.” Alex says.
“No. i really want to and i'm going to.” Jana says with confidence.
“Thank you Jana. have fun with your girlfriends and tell them i said ‘hi’. Eat good food and stay safe.” Alex worries for Jana and says.
“Thanks Alex. you have fun in California too.” Jana says back at Alex.
Alex says, “of course i will!”
Jana says, “bye Alex.”
Alex says back, “bye Jana.”
I walked towards the cafe shop and got a drink. Then i headed over to get a small sandwich for Payton. I paid for the food and walked back up to the room hotel. For the next few hours, i just rested on the bed looking through my phone on social media.

Payton’s POV.
Since i was up the entire time, I was the first one to get ready for the night. I spent the evening editing a file for my boss and sending emails to different companies about our new products. I just wanted to finish doing a few last minute things before actually enjoying this vacation with my girls. We had a plan to have a nice fancy dinner together with the four of us. I went to the bathroom and gotten ready. I wore a black long sleeve shirt with white stripes at the bottom of the sleeves tucked into a burgundy ruffled skirt to my knees, navy knitted long sleeve cardigan, a small heart necklace that Kevin had bought me when i was in London a couple years ago, my hair lightly curled down at the bottom, and my MK purse.
Then i came out of the bathroom to wake up Bailee who fell asleep on the floor. She immediately woke up and went into the bathroom. After a few minutes in there, she came out looking very pretty. She wore a black and white stripe arm sleeve shirt tucked into a red button down ruffled skirt enough to reach her thighs, with her green army jacket with a hood, beige knee high socks, brown knee length leather boots, her hair straight down, and a purse.
After Bailee was down, she woke Jana up who was laying on the bed right next to Caroline. Jana instantly got up and went into the bathroom to get ready. Minutes later, she came out looking stylish more than ever. She wore a denim button down skirt to her thighs, a black plain muscle tee that was tide at the bottom of the shirt, knitted grey cardigan, black leather ankle boots, her beige leather backpack, with her hair curled down lightly.
Once Jana got out of the bathroom, she jumped on the bed and woke Caroline up. Caroline dragged herself to the bathroom and gotten ready. She took longer than the most of us in there. After, what, 20 minutes, Caroline came out. She put together a black plain crop top long sleeve, black floral skirt to her knees, her black knitted cardigan with white stripes down the middle, white and black adidas, hair naturally straight, and her black leather backpack.
When we were all done getting ready for dinner that night, we headed out. Bailee drove us to a nice restaurant that Marcel had brought her the other day in which she loved. It took about a 15 minute drive just right outside of Manhattan near a beach.
As we arrived there, it was incredibly beautiful. The restaurant was built on top of the ocean and all you could see is fishes and sea otters sitting on the rocks. We went in and ordered our food. Each other us had something different. Jana had chicken alfredo pasta, Bailee had a nice steak, Caroline had spaghetti, and I got prime rib. It was a delicious and an amazing dinner. We even talked the night while eating too.
After having such a good dinner, we headed out to a bar just a few blocks down from the restaurant of where we were. As we were walking together hand in hand, a strange guy who walked by us and stopped on the other side calling out Jana’s name. We all turned around in unison and looked at the man. Jana meets eye to eye with the guy and confirms that Jana was her name.
Jana says while looking at the guy, “Yes. I’m Jana.”
The guys says and asks, “Jana. It’s me, Sam Vince.”
“Sam V, is that you?” Jana asks the guy.
“Yeah, it's me.” Sam Vince confirms.
Jana turns around to face us and tells us…
“You girls go on ahead. I'll meet you all there.” Jana says to Bailee, Payton, and Caroline.
Sam Vince says and asks, “you look great. how have you been Jana?”
Jana says with a smile, “I've been busy with success and such.”
“You still live in California?” Sam Vince asks.
“Still do. What are you doing here in New York?” Jana says and asks.
Sam Vince says, “I went to school at NYU and now works at the second Apple headquarters here.”
Jana says, “wow. Nicely done. well, if you ever come back to California, we should grab coffee or something and catch up. It's been so long.”
“Of course, i'll come around when i go back to California.” Sam Vince says.
Sam Vince continues to say, “well, i don't want to keep you from your friends.”
Jana says, “Right. I should go now. It was so great seeing you Sam.”
“It was great seeing you too. Bye Jana.” Sam Vince bids his farewell.
“Bye Sam.” Jana says while walking, bidding farewell.
While we were waiting in line to go into the bar, Jana came towards us after 10 minutes of talking to that guy. She stood in line with us and we were curious of who that was. And we asked her…
Payton asks, “Who was that Jana?”
Jana says to Payton, “that was Sam V. He was the guy that i talked to since freshmen year in high school. We talked on the chat thing and i confessed to him on there.”
“Oh, Sam V. I remember him. He looks good now.” Payton says as she remembers him again.
“Yeah, i thought so too. He went to NYU here and now works at the second apple headquarters here.” Jana says.
Bailee says, “it seems like everyone is now successful.”
Jana says, “it seems like it.”
We continued on waiting in line to get into the bar. While doing so, i had a lot of things on my mind. Me and Kevin weren't on very good terms at the moment. I really missed him who was living in London. I didn't want to let my feelings for him ruin this vacation with my girls so i forgot about him for a second. We spent the entire night celebrating our girls weekend reunion at that bar. Bailee had only two shots of Vodka while i had three shots. After that third shot, i got drunk and passed out. Caroline had like 4 shots and were completely find after that. Jana had three shots and were a little lightheaded.
