7. Yuki's Dream

TRIGGER WARNING AHEAD.

"Hey, why are you so fat?" Asked one of the kids who's just passing by their block with a cocky snicker.

"Why are you so ugly?" She snapped back with full disgust written all over her face.

The girl in her small bicycle widened her eyes as she didn't expect her to be retorting back, "I'm beautiful, you just jealousy because I'm sexy dead drop gracious!"

"Why would I envy someone who is too dumb to speak in English?" She smirked in a cocky way and narrowed her eyes to continue with a sarcastic tone, "How conceited can you get?"

This left the other girl completely dumbfounded and embarrassed of herself so she shrieked in an annoyed way, "F you!" and raised a middle finger before moving away.

This fat girl on a wheelchair triumphantly scoffed at her as she kissed on her middle finger and raised it back to the other one in the distant with her most calm but extremely insulting smile.

No one understands her. Everyone just sees her as a blunt, arrogant, and cold girl with an attitude problem. She doesn't need to explain to them— who are they to judge her anyway?

They say she can't sing. They say she can't dance. They say she can't do anything. She's obese and handicapped, what do they expect?

It's only her older brother who loves her more than anything. Meanwhile, her younger brother detests her just for the only reason that she's 'fat' and that everyone in the school bullies him for having a fat sister— and up until now he wishes her to die or just never existed in that way he'd never be humiliated.

For his older brother, she's a precious fragile child that he should protect no matter what. However, she hates being cheesy and so continues to act like she doesn't care but deep inside her heart, she loves his brother dearly as well. She would always push him away and yell at him for no reason— and his response? Of course, he would just smile and sigh muttering under his breath how his precious his sister is for him to be mad at her. And his younger brother? Don't even ask how much they despise each other.

"Hey, hand me the remote."

She ordered in a cold but seemingly polite for her.

His younger brother, who is playing a video game in his small gaming console, didn't respond. Figures he was hearing large headphones with loud music almost booming out of from the audio device.

She rolled her eyes and picked up the nearest thing around her reach and threw it straight onto his younger brother's face sending him in tantrums. He cursed as he threw the gadget away and shattering it to pieces, extremely furious that it was game over the moment he was hit in the face. He got up and was ready to charge onto her until he heard a familiar voice. . .

"I'll smack you if you hurt her!" His booming voice echoed throughout the room.

"B-But I-I-I just—"

The oldest brother brisk-walked his way into the scene, pulling the youngest away from her.

"That fat pig made me lose my game!"

He stomped his feet off as if he's about to break the last layer covering the flaming gates of hell from his anger.

"Call her that one more time and you'll never get your hands on any gaming devices." He almost yelled with his teeth gritting, scaring the younger brother who is now even more frustrated than ever so he stormed out of the room.

The oldest just laughed the moment the door slammed shut, "Are you okay?" He calmly asked the only girl in the family.

"Do I look like I got beaten up by a large thug?" She bluntly replied with her arms crossed together.

He just laughed again, "He could've done that, y'know?" He paused and smirked, "He thinks he's tough enough so he could give you another limp bone."

"Bullsht." Is all that she can utter as she turned away from him to leave the room too, forgetting the show she was about to watch earlier.

She entered her room and slowly lied down the bed from the wheelchair to take a quick nap. But instead of closing her eyes to free up her mind, her brain started to remind her all of the humiliating comments and negative blabbering about herself— from 'you can't sing' to 'you'll never have a good future with a fat body and lame self', they all came rushing inside her head.

As she punched the largest pillow lying near her and swore that she'll prove everyone who underestimated her wrong— she will show the whole world what she's capable of.

Early in the morning, his older brother suddenly 'barged' into her room and caught her in front of her desk writing something on a yellow pad along with what it may seem an ocean of crumpled papers. He silently guessed with a faint smile that she must be composing another song.

"You're too young to be an idol, kiddo." He chuckled.

The busy one slowly turned her back and glared at him, "First of all," she tilted her head to the side, "can't you knock first before entering someone's room? That's disrespectful."

Her brother just responded with a laugh as he sat down on the edge of her bed, setting down on a bedside table a tray of newly-cooked morning meal.

"Just want to give my little sis her breakfast," he smiled warmly, "I guess she needs something to munch on for another long day brainstorming for new lyrics to write."

This just made her eyes roll in disgust by his cheesiness.

"Why do you want to be an idol, anyway?" He began as he leaned forward to her, taking a quick sneak on the words she's jotting down.

Feeling the sudden leaning, she backed away with a glare, "Why do you even care?"

He smiled, also backing away from her and looked down with a heavy sigh, "You know mom and dad will never come back. . ."

She first rolled her eyes once again as she crossed her arms and looked firmly at his brother, "I don't care. Why would they want to come back again if they left us in the first place?"

He avoided her gaze and instead looked far outside the window, "But maybe they will. . . someday."

"We don't need them." She muttered in the coldest tone without even trying.

"Do you think their other family is better than us?"

"Who cares?"

"I mean, they wouldn't leave if they're worse, right?"

"You know what?" She dropped her pen and crumpled the last paper, "I ain't giving crap right now." She bitterly whispered with a sarcastic smile before going out of the room.

Without even thinking, she went straight outside to get some fresh air when. . .

"Hahaha! Look at that jumbo crippled kid, sis~"

They must be the horrible kids from next door making fun of her again. Not wanting to deal with them in such early time of the day, she raised her middle finger, making them furious and instead of serving them their cold breakfast as usual, she just turned and into the backyard where she can finally be in peace.

"One day, I promise. . ."
She paused and deeply exhaled as she pulled out her brother's photo from her pocket and smiled faintly, "I'm going to give us a better life."
