Defamation

It was around 4 am when Yuki got startled by Inna's voice.

"What's wrong?" Yuki asked with a worried hoarse voice, obviously her sleep was interrupted.

The eldest didn't reply and instead looked into the distant, panting heavily as if she's had a bad nightmare that made her wake up from her sleep. The other members were soon woken up as well and turned the bedside lamp on, hurrying to comfort Inna.

"Did you remember something?" asked their maknae.

And that exact moment, she started to burst into tears making all of them even more worried.

Yri gasped but quickly cupped her mouth with her eyes widened, receiving surprised stares from the other members.

"Oh no, did I say something wrong, Unnie?"

Clearly, words weren't much of a help so the members panicked as they try to get the things they need to calm her down.
Lili got her a glass of water.
Mar brought a pack of tissues.
Yuki was in charge of the fan.
And the maknae? Since she figured out the other members have all what she exactly needed, she thought she still has to help so she brought her a gigantic poster of her boyfriend Jungmin which turned out to be an effective way to calm her down.

She first inhaled deeply with her eyes closed, almost not wanting to continue but shrugged it off as something deep inside her is tells her to let it all out, "I remembered Inhye."

"Who is she?" Asked Margaux, eyes dropping from exhaustion but tries to keep it open as she's interested to hear more from their leader.

"She's my younger sister—" another moment of long pause as she looked down sadly, "the sunshine of my life."

"Ohh, we never knew you have a sister. What's she like?" Lili clapped happily as she leaned closer, seemingly the most intrigued to hear a story in such ungodly hour.

"She's. . . just perfect. I-I don't even. . . I just miss her so much."

"Aww, we're on our day-off, I'm sure you can go and visit h—"

"She's gone."

This made everyone in the room completely flabbergasted as their jaws drop wide open.

"I'm sorry I never have opened to you about this before because the truth is— I thought I'll eventually forget this," she paused with a deep sigh and clenched her fists tight, "but I guess you can't just escape from the past."

"We're sorry to hear that."

The members gathered around the eldest to give her a comforting warm hug as they proceeded to try to make her laugh and soon, they started sharing their dreams from their past.

"I dreamt of myself in the past, back in the day where everyone calls me the ugliest creature in the world." Lili shared with a hearty laugh as she grabbed one of the pillows from bed, preparing to listen to the other members' stories.

"Me? I have dreamt about the horrifying past with my adoptive family." Margaux also shared with an awkward shrug.

"Well, mine's back when I was useless and handicapped— no one believed in me but my older brother." Yuki reluctantly shared with a smirk, knowing all of the members has to share.

After a moment of silence, the youngest then realized all of the other members are waiting for her to share hers when they leaned closer, "How about you?"

"Oh, m-me?" She asked, acting half dumbfounded until all of them gave her serious looks so she continued with a nervous chuckle, "It's just the usual, you know like. . . where I get to marry Jimin. . . and all."

Disappointed and unamused by this, the other members rolled their eyes with a tired laugh before finally deciding to go back, knowing they have to get the best of this quick day-off. But as soon as all of them could even shut their eyes off, someone rang in the doorbell, sounding like a real bell of horror into the girls' ears.

"Ugh, who the fck is that?" Yuki groaned as she nudged the nearest member, commanding her to go for the door.

Everyone apparently is too tired to even move a muscle so of course, it's down to their leader Inna who is now whining, even beating an actual maknae's actions as she stomped her feet off to reach for the doorknob. . .

"Get up now, ladies!"

Only to be greeted by their manager with her mouth wide open, looking ridiculous as she continues to pant heavily even Inna thinks she's being chased by a killer.

"Wha—"

"I don't have time to explain, we have to get ready within an hour!"

"But I thou—"

"Just get moving! This is urgent."

And as quick as their manager's words, she quickly dashed away, leaving the half-awake leader dumbfounded and pressured at the same time.

"What did she say?" Mumbled Yuki, still with her eyes closed and arms wrapped around a big soft cotton pillow.

Inna grunted as she closed the door, slowly walking back to the room with heavy footsteps, "I guess our break will be delayed."

"Whaaaaat?" It was Yri who first reacted in a flash when she did an exaggerated spring from the bed.

"We only an hour left to prepare. . . So get up now, girls."

As much as she doesn't want to enter her leader mode on, she has too, and now to start it off, she clapped her hands thrice with a heavy sigh.

"Oh for fck's sake, we're only given a short break and now it has to be delayed?" Yuki grumbled, throwing all the remaining pillows away from the bed and almost wanting to tear them into pieces.

"What is it about?" Margaux asked in a soft and calm voice, slowly sitting up as she rubbed her eyes.

"I don't know. She didn't even had the chance to tell me so I guess it must be really important."

Yri scratched her head in an irritated manner and yawned out loud, "Don't you think. . ."

The rest of the members, except Lili who was fast asleep, looked at her with wide eyes, clearly anticipating for the next words the youngest has to say.

"There's a zombie outbreak?"

Almost everyone cursed under their breath in disbelief as they proceeded to get up and prepare themselves.

"Cool~ Zombie apocalypse!" Margaux exclaimed happily, "Is this some kind of 'Train to Busan' feels?"

Cricket noises.

"Oops, that was awkward. I take it back!" She giggled as she hopped out of the bed.

While all of the members suddenly got busy, trying to stay awake to get ready, there's Lili on the bed— snoring in her unlady-like position.

"WAKE UP LILI! IT'S BANGTAN'S COMEBACK!"

In a flash, Lili opened her two eyes, revealing a tired expression from her face but simply gave Yri a faint smile.

"Nice try but I know the exact date and time, Yri."

And this might be another reason why Lili is the closest to Yri— they're both ARMYs after all. Do they stan the same member? No one knows. Not even Yri knows.

This made Yri almost scream from the top of her lungs but as everyone would experience, her heart started beating faster, nervous of what Jimin has to tell her.

"No phones please, Yri. We have to get ready in an hour." Inna calmly said as soon as she saw the maknae checking out on her phone.

Yri nodded as she quickly locked her phone and dropped it inside her back only to make her even more anxious. Just when another beep was heard, Yri rushed to dig inside her bag once again and took a quick look on her phone the moment Inna turned her back.

Just as what Yri needed to start her day— anxiety. She could go on forever thanking Kim Taehyung for boosting up her senses that might lead her into overthinking, which it really turned out to be. She swears she could feel her brain floating far away from her physical body as she mentally questions herself— "Is it just me or the toothpaste tastes like shampoo. . . Or why's my hair getting all sticky?"

"Listen girls. . ."

The members tried sit on a cozy couch with light shoulders yet still tensed on whatever their head manager is about to say.

"Bonita is having their comeback now, literally."
