Candle Lights

Namjoon and Jin quickly did as I asked. They woke the boys up, which took some time, as some of them (Suga I'm talking about you!) would refuse to wake up, and then we all gathered in the living room. The radio volume was low so that we could hear each other while discussing the problem we had to face. They were sitting on the couch, facing me, trying to contain the yawns and the growling sounds coming from their hungry stomachs.

"You guys seem worried, what's going on?" - Jung Kook asked.

"Yeah, why did you guys wake us in such a hurry?" - J- hope followed.

"Omma Jin hasn't even cooked our breakfast yet" - V pouted holding his tummy.

"Don't worry guys, you will be able to eat soon, I just really need to talk to you first" - I said trying to comfort them but also keep focused on the main problem, as V was so cute acting like a child I almost gave in.

"Then let's talk already!" - Suga raised his hands, impatient.

"Alright. So, we have good and bad news. Good news is electricity is back on" - Rap Monster started, to which the boys cheered. Then he went on - "But bad news is that earlier, (y/n) was trying to watch TV, but there was no signal, and there's no telephone signal nor internet for the time being as well" - he finished in a more serious tone, and there wasn't much of a reaction.

"(y/n), do you want to fill us in to the rest of the situation?" - Jin asked me.

"Oh... OK. So, I've been listening to the radio transmissions it's been a while and the situation is a little complicated" - I paused to look at them, and Jimin nodded gently telling me to go on -
"Apparently the snow storm yesterday was way longer and stronger than predicted. The amount of snow that fell was... well, what the meteorologists expected for the whole season. This makes it the biggest storm in around 300 years here in Paris, so the city is a true caos" - I decided to pause and to see what their reactions were like.

"Ok, that's scary, but how badly does it attain us?" - Hoseok asked.

"Well, from what I heard many areas of the city are isolated, and the authorities can't reach those areas as there are monstrous amounts of snow surrounding them. And unfortunately, we are in one of those zones, so we will probably be stuck here for at least a couple of days or up to a week" - My serious tone was felt in the living room as they all seemed to be in deep thinking about what to do.

"So what do we do now?" - Kookie asked looking at his hyungs and back at me.

"I don't know, but first we need to plan a little, if we're going to have to survive on our own for a week" - Namjoon said looking worriedly at the guys, probably already thinking about the main points.

"Yes, and that's exactly why we needed everyone here so that we could all discuss this together" - Jin eyed them, but specially Suga and V, stressing his statement.

"There are good things though: we haven't been deprived of electricity and the supermarket at the end of the street is among the list of the open ones and accessible to anyone who can reach it" - I said getting a little relieved as i translated the words of the radio host.

"I think first we need to go and buy everything we need to survive for more than a week, just in case then" - Suga spoke up, to which we agreed.

"I would just maybe give you guys some breakfast? or at least something to eat before we actually get to all the tasks" - I said and their growling stomachs answered my question. They followed me into the kitchen, to eat a little bread, some milk or Yogurt and fruit juice. Then, we divided in teams, in order to brainstorm and list all the things we may need in different areas. Jin and Jung Kook would take care of food,beverage and personal hygiene , Taehyung, Hoseok and Suga would be in charge of cleaning and house artifacts, and Jimin, Rap Monster and I would see for surviving goods such as first aid kits, blankets or any other. After 30 minutes of debriefing, each team had settled on a list.

"OK guys, are you ready?" - I asked from the living-room to those in the kitchen and the dance room.

"Yeah, here is our list" - Taehyung came in, holding a very annotated piece of paper in his right hand.
"So is ours" - Jung Kook brandished a similar one.

"Alright so we're good to go?" - Jin asked looking around.

"Oh no..." - I thought out loud.

"What is it?" - J-Hope asked me.

"I just remembered we can't get past the building door. It's blocked because of the snow" - I was really worried and I had started to think of a solution.

"Damn it" - Namjoon swore under his breath - "Now what? We just jump out of the windows?" - He said brushing a hand through his hair. He was obviously getting nervous, and I didn't understand why so much stress took over him.

"Why don't we just actually go out through the windows?" - Suga said simply pointing out through the glass of the middle window in the living-room.

"Wow, it snowed no much we could almost slide down from the balcony" - Jung Kook said approaching the windows to have a better look, and he was right.

"You're a genius!" - I thought out loud in my excitement. Again.

"Thanks" - He said with a cocky smile.

"Oh, quit being such a dork already" - Yoongi tapped him on the shoulder, laughing.

"For one, it was Suga's idea in first place" - I responded to Kookie - "And he's right! It can actually work" - I opened the windowed doors to the balcony, and the swift cold air came in, wrapping my limbs and invading the room - "Look, if we jump from here to that little mount on the right, then to that other one a little far down, we can reach a main path to the supermarket" -
I said, as I pointed the path I had designed in my mind.

"I'm not so convinced of this" - Rap Mon was still unsure.

"It seems like it's our only option for now" - Jimin spoke up.

"It'll be ok, alright? Trust me" - I looked into his eyes to reassure him I was pretty certain of what I was saying - "I'm guessing you don't have winter clothes with you, do you?" - I turned my attention back to the whole group.

"We kinda left in a run so we don't have anything other than what we are wearing actually" - V said simply. We went to the TV room, in the same cupboard where I found the radio earlier, which was where we kept the winter stuff. Lucky for them, we were quite a big a family, so many of our ski coats were available.

"Pick one and let's go" - I said as I held my blue ski jacket in my right hand.

"Here''s one for our Pink princess" - Taehyung presented the elder with my elder sister's favorite coat, which was a flashy tone of pink, as they all laughed as hyenas.

"Well thank you" - said a Jin trying to hide his feelings - "It IS my favorite color, I'm not ashamed of it".

"Great because it looks great on you" - I complimented him, and he gave me an honest thankful smile followed my a dorky hair flip. After they settled fighting for who would get to wear what, we went back to the living room and proceeded and mission to the supermarket.

"So... Who wants to go first?" - Jimin asked a suddenly silent room.

"What about the oldest first?" - said a devilishly smiling Jung Kook.

"Then what about the maknaes first?" - suggested Jin.

"What about ladies first?" - suggested Suga, smiling at me in a friendly way.

"Alright, I'll go first" - I said simply, amused by their bickering - "I don't see why you're all so scared".

"No, I'll go first" - J-hope spoke up - "So if you fall, there's someone there to help you"

"Oh you're so sweet, but don't worry I can do this" - He was being such a gentleman.
"I insist".

"Ok then, go ahead I'll be right behind you" - I said as he started to climb down. I followed shortly after. I was pacing slowly but firmly, trying to find out where the snow was a little steadier so we wouldn't sink. J-Hope landed perfectly, and extended his hand to help me trough the last little bit. When I was on safe ground, he still had my hand in his, so he did an exaggerated reverence and kissed my hand, which made us both laugh.

"I'm coming" - Shouted a unsteady god of destruction, on his way to the second snow mount. I approached him to imitated Hobi's gesture and offered him my hand. The problem was he misstepped, and instead of landing on his feet he landed... Well, on me. In a hole in the snow. I was surprised and had shut my eyes, and when I opened them I was facings his, just as confused as mine probably were.

"Are you guys alright there?" - Taehyung's head hovered over the hole in the snow. We had sunk at least two feet in the fluffy snow. His question made us wake up from a sort of trance that had fallen over us in the last few seconds.

"Yeah, coming up" - Rap monster shouted back to him, while trying to get off of me. An effort in which he miserably failed as he slipped and his face landed on my chest this time.

"Guess I'll be spending the night here" - He said with a flirty voice, partially muffled by my body parts.

"Trying to flirt our way out of embarrassment, are we?" - I couldn't help but laugh at this situation.

"Well I made you laugh, that's half way out of it, right?" - He said staring at me now.

"You've got a point" - I giggled, as the others, who were all down on the ground by now came to help us stand up.

After cleaning up the snow a little, we directed to the supermarket at the end of the street. A little opening on the snow had been made so that people could come in. We split back into the earlier teams and spread though the alleys, taking everything we needed, and even some of what we didn't really need. It seemed like it was never going to end at the beggining, but eventually we became focused on the task and, within an hour and a half, we met back at the cashiers. The supermarket was being cooperative with the government during this whole calamity thing, so we didn't even have to pay. We were very lucky on that point as we had managed to fill up 4 different shopping carts.

The problem now was how to take those back inside the apartment, as there were far too many things for us to carry. So we made a little chain going from the supermarket door all the way back to the window, where I would be waiting for them to pass me the groceries as they didn't want me to carry weight, even though I insisted it was just fine. A lot of arm work afterwards, everything and everyone was back inside in the heated apartment, but they were a bit tired. And still hungry, I imagined, but they still wouldn't dare to ask for anything. I brought them water, and told them to stay put on the couch for a while so they could rest.

And that was something they were absolutely incapable of doing. Suga soon stood up, and seated by the piano, and started to play a sweet melody. Jung Kook had found some papers and pencils and was drawing while Rap Monster seemed to be writing something down beside him. V was still on the couch, staring at his phone, doing silly faces, and Jimin was up dancing slightly to Suga's tone.

I went back to the kitchen, as I wanted to make a decent meal for a change as we had all worked hard, and would probably have rough days ahead of us. But to my surprise, someone else had had the same idea.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" - I asked Jin, who was peeling and cutting some vegetables.

"Well it can't be more obvious than this" - He said jokingly, gesturing the knife in his hand and the vegetables on the table.

"Sorry, wrong question. Why are you here? You were supposed to be resting" - I giggled at his silliness.

"Well this is something I love so it's a kind of rest for me" - He seemed genuinely in his element.

"Do you want some help?" - I offered.

"I already tried, but he's not that keen on having other people when he's focused" - Hoseok, who had been quiet until now, brought my attention to him.

"Really don't worry, I'm used to cooking for the boys, and it's an honor to cook for our amazing host" - He said smiling and I blushed, laughing a little.

"(y/n), do you want to play cards with me?" - J-Hope motioned a card game and I decided to join him. It was such a cozy atmosphere, playing cards with happy Hoseok, with the delicious smell of Jin's food and Yoongi's music to rock us like a lullaby.
