A K-pop Idol's Guide to Surviving a Zombie Apocalypse

Donghyuk no I am not letting you back to the mic again! No, really. I'm not. Don't try aegyo on me it won't work. Shoo! I'm trying to tell a story here!

Anyway.

Nakamoto Yuta here at your service. I'm sure you will all enjoy your stay at NCT zombie hotel. If not -

Back to story.

The attic was actually somewhat comfortable. Even with all the dust and all the random noises which made me jump and even with all the member clinging onto each other which was cute at first but then got a bit annoying, I think I slept well.

I woke up first, detatched myself from Winwin and Jaehyun, amd wandered over to the two familiar shadows in the corner.

"Hyung?" I whispered.

"Oh goody, you're awake. Can you take over please? I need to sleep." Johnny yawned and stretched, walking past me before I'd even answered. I blinked. Oh, okay then.

"Taeyong's sleeping, let him be," he added, and I nodded, taking the seat on one of the higher beams that he had had before, and tilted my head up to look out of the little window a that we had come through. The sky was still dark, and my watch wasn't a digital watch so there was no button to light up the screen. I guessed it was maybe two or one o'clock in the morning.

I yawned. I wanted to go back to sleep already. Pulling out my phone, I turned it on and let the lowest possible light a of the screen to keep me company as I watched over the other members or scrolled through the random pictures I had on my phone.

Time passed, and I got incredibly bored.

Maybe two or three hours later, I heard someone stirring from the clumpy pile in the corner and I wandered over. "Who's woke up?"

"Who said I'd woken up?"

"Oh, I don't know. Maybe the fact you're talking to me, Taeil hyung," I said back, speaking quietly as not to wake the other members. Taeil shrugged. "Should I go back to sleep? What's the time?"

"You have a digital watch, you tell me."

"Oh yeah." He checked his watch, and yawned. "Three in the morning."

"Wow." I didn't know what to say, so I went back to my post and sat down next to Taeyong , who was still sleeping.

"I'll go back to sleep," he decided. I pouted. "Meanie."

After another hour or so, I was fighting to keep awake.

So tired. I yawned.

Maybe I should wake up another member to take over?

And that was when I heard a tap on the window, and clapped a hand over my mouth to stifle my shriek. I stared up, hoping that it wasn't a zombie who had found us.

I gasped, and my legs almost gave out.

"Jaemin??"

He mouthed a couple of words at me, and I sprang up, unlocking the latch and pulling him in, and seeing Renjun and Jeno behind him too. "Ohmygod I cant believe it! Are you okay?"

"Hyung -"

"Did you get bitten? Wait - where's the others?? Please tell me you know where they are." I stared at them worridly. "Guys?"

"We got split up," whimpered Jeno. "I don't know where they are, we were chased and then -"

He started to cry, and I immediately hugged them. "Ok, ok, sh, it's fine. I'll help you find them." I eventually closed the window and just sat on the floor with them for a while.

I leaned over and nudged one if the sleeping figures. "Mark? Wake up."

The boy scrunched up his face. "Wh -" then he saw the others, and he practically screamed and jumped forwards. "Where were you? I was so worried! How did you find us? Where - where are the others?"

"They got split up," I explained quickly. He looked shocked. "Uh-oh."

"Precisely my thoughts," Donghyuk spoke up from behind me and I leapt like a foot in the air. "Jeez, you could've I warned me!"

"It doesn't matter now." Mark glanced at the other sleeping members. "We need to find them."

"Should we wake everyone?" Asked Jaemin nervously. I debated. "Um ..."

"I'll wake up Taeil hyung, tell him to keep watch over the others while we go out," said Donghyuk. I protested. "What? You guys are staying here."

"No! I need to go!"

"It's dangerous out there!" I argued back. "There are zombies, and it's dark, and we don't even have proper weapons. I'm not letting you go back out there, you're too young. You're staying here."

Mark frowned. "Its dangerous for you too, hyung."

I shook my head. This was going nowhere.

"Look, you can tell me where you saw them last and -"

"Don't tell me you think you're going out there alone!" Donghyuk burst out. "What makes you think you've got a better chance than we do? You don't - hyung, we have to go. I can't just stay here. Please?" He looked at me imploringly. (Yes you did Donghyuk! You were begging! Haha - ow!!)

"Yuta, let them go." I jumped again. "Will you guys stop scaring me! And Taeil hyung, what do you mean? They can't -"

"They're old enough Yuta. You have to trust them, they trust a you too. Have some faith in them - I'll stay here and watch over the other members. You can take most of our weapons. Ok?"

I stared at him in disbelief. "Hyung, you can't ..."

"Yes I can, Yuta. They're in danger. Would you rather they go out there by themselves?"

I shut up. "Fine."

And that's how me, Jaemin, Jeno, Reunjun, Donghyuk, and Mark ended up prowling the streets at three o'clock in the morning, each with a makeshift weapon in our hands, hunting for our lost members.
