Unexpected

Maranda’s POV

I finished getting Min Hyun dressed for our morning walk to the park as I hear a knock on the door. I open it to see Kat standing there with a big grin on her face.

“What did you do?” I asked her skeptically.

“Why do you always think I have done something?” she asks walking into the house. “You guys going somewhere?” She asks seeing Min Hyun is dressed in outdoor clothes.

“Just walking to the park. Want to come? Then you can tell me all about your date! Which is what I am hoping the grin is about.” I say to her as I am putting Min Hyun in his stroller.

“Sure!”

TOP walked into the room before we left.

“Hey! We’re headed to the park.” I tell him.

“Oh, okay. I’ll see you when you get back. Have fun.” He says as we walk out the door.

As we are walking to the park Kat tells me everything about her date with GD. We both set down at my normal bench. I put Min Hyun on my lap so he can look around better.

“So, you guys gonna go out again?”

“I hope so! He asked me to go out with him again but he didn’t like actually make a date. You know what I mean?”

“Yeah. But at least he wants to again! I’m glad you had fun.”

“So what’s going on with you and TOP?” Kat asks me with a suspicious grin.

“What do you mean?” I ask her confused.

“The way he looked at you! And the “I’ll see you when you get back.” I think he is into you.”

“Please! He is my employer! Nothing else.”

“Ah huh. What do you really think about him?”

I look over at her with a disapproving face.

“Fine! Don’t tell me how much you love him yet! I’ll wait till you overthink everything like you normally do.”

Min Hyun started crying for his bottle. “Is it noon already?” I asked Kat.

She pulls out her phone. “Yeah 12:00 on the dot. He is that predictable?”

“Yeah. He’s an easy baby. Just don’t get him off his schedule.”

After Min Hyun finished his bottle we headed back to the house. Once we got back Kat headed to the store. I laid Min Hyun down for a nap and then went to read my book in the living room.

“How was the park?” TOP asked me as I sat down on the couch.

“Good. Not too many people were out today. Kat told me about her and GD’s date last night. I guess they hit it off.”

“That’s good! Maybe now he will lay off the late night practices.” He says laughing.

I laugh too. “Yeah Kat’s pretty good at occupying people.”

“So I’m off tomorrow too. Mind if I tag along with you to the park?”

“Yeah! It’ll be fun.”

I started readying my book. Min Hyun started crying after about an hour.

“I got it.” TOP says standing up to go check on him.

He comes back after a few minutes with him. “Just a diaper change.” He says setting him in his baby swing.

Next Day

“TOP! Are you ready?” I ask as I am putting Min Hyun into his stroller.

“Yeah. Why are you in such a hurry?” He asks me as he puts on his jacket.

“We have a schedule we like to keep.” I say as we start to walk out the door.

TOP carried the diaper bag as we walked down the street to the park. We sat down at our normal bench and I got Min Hyun out to sit on my lap.

“I wanted to thank you again for doing this for me.” He says to me.

“It’s no problem at all! I love it. Babies are my thing.” I say to him looking down at Min Hyun. “I’m surprised you didn’t wear a disguise.”

“I wanted to try and feel normal today.”

“Yeah. I’m sure it sucks always being easily recognized. I wouldn’t like that. But you enjoy what you do don’t you?”

“Of course!” He exclaims. “There are just sometimes where it would be easier if I wasn’t an idol.”

“Like when?”

“Going to the store, dates, moments like this.” He lets out a sigh. “Most girls only go out with me because of who I am and my money too. That’s why I always do something low key for a first date. If they get upset then I know they are only there for the fancy life.”

“I hate when guys spend too much money on dates. Take GD and Kat’s date for example. They had dinner at a nice restaurant and then went for a walk in the park. Kat told me how expensive the dinner was. I would have died if anyone spent that on me!” We both start to laugh.

“So what is your ideal date?” He asks me.

I start to laugh to myself. “Honestly?” I ask him smiling.

“Yeah.” He says smiling back at me.

“Mini golf.” I state matter of fact.

“Mini golf? Why?” He asks laughing.

“Well you get to find out so much about a person. Like if they are patient, helpful. Stuff like that. And those places always have a concession stand so you don’t have to leave to get food. It’s just a lot of fun.”

“Yeah that’s true. Mini golf is fun.”

Min Hyun started fussing. “It’s noon.” I say as I get his bottle out of the diaper bag.

“What?” TOP asks me confused.

“He starts fussing at noon for his lunch. Then we go back to the house and he takes a nap.” I explain to him.

After Min Hyun finished we headed back to the house.
