The Last Mission

They got up at 5:30a.m., got dressed, and ate sandwiches with each other. They had to follow Soo-Hyun to school, to make sure he got to school safely. When they got to school they both went to class. They sat at their desks and ignored each other. When it was lunch time they decided to talk. They took their lunch trays and sat under a tree.

“Do you not have any friends?” Zitao asked looking around.

“If I do it will just put them in danger...you know that,” Yoo-Jin said.

“I know, well...at least we could be friends...right?” he asked looking at her.

Yoo-Jin looked at him. His eyes sparkled with hope.

“We’ll see,” then she began eating.

Zitao’s hope shattered and he made a face at her. He took a deep breath and started to chug his drink.

A week passed and they were able to get information on all of the male teachers. They both sat in the living room and laid all of the paper work on the coffee table.

“I check 22 teachers. I only found two suspicious ones,” said Yoo-Jin. She picked up the two teachers profile and showed it to Zitao.

“Good, because I didn’t find anyone that was suspicious,” he looked at the pictures, then the names. “Lee Tae-Ho and Jung Kang-Woo.”

“I’ll keep an eye on Tae-Ho and you keep an eye on Kang-Woo. Understand?”

“Yes sir.”

Yoo-Jin rolled her eyes.

Finals were in a week, they never studied. When finals came they were the first two to finish. A week later the results came. Their class came in first and they both tied for first not missing a single question. For a reward the whole class was going to Jeju Island. It was a four day trip.

Everyone had to go. Yoo-Jin and Zitao was just starting to get a little closer to each other. They packed their bags and walked to school. No rumors were out about them living together because they were careful. Of course, many people tried being their friends, but they rejected all of them. When the bus got there everyone boarded the bus. Yoo-Jin and Zitao decided to sit next to each other. Then people started talking. Rumors were going around saying we were dating. Yoo-Jin ignored all of them and put her headphones on, so did Zitao. When they were at the airport they decided to sit away from each other to stop rumors from spreading. It didn’t help.

Hello, I'm back! I'm so sorry for not updating! I lost my USB that had all of my stories on it, and just found it again recently.

And....I HAVE GOOD NEWS! I won a contest and so both my poem and short story that I entered will be published in a magazine! :D
