If Dreams Could Tell

Baekhee's POV

"I know that." Seokjin sighed.

"Then why did you ask?" Even though this is just a dream, I could feel my cheeks were burn from the embarrassment.

He shook his head, "Why can't you just understand?" He muttered walking out of the room.

He sure was frustrated. I mean I did just admit that I liked him, but he didn't seem to care until he walked out.


My eyes flew open. I marked a day off from the calendar. 5 more days until we graduate.


Exams are tomorrow but I didn't feel like going to class today. I made my way to the roof.


Jin's POV

I placed my head on the roof's floor pretending to look up at the stars even though the sky is bright with no signs of clouds.

The thought of Baekhee rejecting me only made me want her more. I couldn't keep these feelings in anymore. I had to let them out.

The door creaked open, "Jin? You're here too?" A voice said.

Without looking, I already knew who it is. I patted the spot next to me. "Come join me, I'm lonely." I said.

I heard someone shift next to me. I opened one eye watching Baekhee lay down in a comfortable position where one of her hands are behind her head.

"Can I ask you something?" I asked.

"Sure...I guess."

I chuckled. That was probably one thing I like about her. "First of all, do you believe in love?" I asked in almost a whisper.

"Yes...no."

"Why is that?"

"The person I like...it's pretty much impossible for us to be together. We both live in two different worlds." She said sadly.

"Who do you like?" I was curious about this question. She said that she liked someone else, but who is it?

Baekhee mumbled something before saying, "Nevermind."

I didn't push it, "Then, did you reject me?" It wasn't very direct yesterday. I never really got to hear her answer.

"No-"

That was all I needed to hear. I closed the space between us and firmly pressed my lips to hers. She didn't kiss back. She pulled away and stood up.

"Why?"

"You said you didn't reject me." I said.

"That's not what I mean. I-I don't like you." Tears were streaming down her face taking me by surprise.

"I didn't mean to. I'm sorry." I stood and took a hold of her arm. She backed away, the sleeve of her blazer slipping out of my grip.

She shook her head, "I'm so confused. I need time to think." She said.


Baekhee's POV

I know I said I didn't like him, but my heart tells me otherwise. I didn't notice until my tears fell onto the palm of my hand that I was crying.

I ran across the school passing Jungkook on the way.

"Baekhee-"

I wasn't in the mood to talk. I wanted to just go home take a nice hot bath and go to sleep.


10:45

No One's POV

You were taking a nice hot shower like you imagined. But you couldn't enjoy it with all those thoughts in your head. Jimin was asleep in the living room, tried from all the Netflix.

'Everything will be alright, I just exaggerated a little.' I tried to convince myself.


12:06

Baekhee's POV

I attempted to fall asleep but miserably stayed awake. I can't just sleep in the middle of the day like Suga.

My phone vibrated. The screen showed 17 missed calls and 62 messages.

From: Sugarface
To: Baekhee

Yah! Where r u? Not that I care but the others r dying and bugging me. Like, why me? Btw, is it just me or is Jin Hyung acting a little weird?

P.S. I'm annoyed af, hurry up and text back

At the mention of Jin's name, I shrunk deeper into my bed (Even if it's J-hope's I can still call it my bed, right?)

I read the next text.

Why you no here? >^< We miss u.
Srsly, why u no here?

They see me everyday. How could they miss me already?

There was always something going on with their grammar except for Suga and Rap Mon.

I closed my phone too lazy to read any more.


6:30

I heard the door open with a click.

I rubbed my eyes. I must've fallen asleep. I didn't see Seokjin. I didn't dream of anything. It was just like last time. He'll be back soon hopefully.

"Dinner's ready." Jin said before leaving, closing the door shut behind him.

Suga cleared his throat while we were eating. Jimin was always the one that talked first, but seeing how everyone is just enjoying their food, he stopped himself.

"So." J-hope started, "Are you guys ready for the exam tomorrow?" He asked in attempt to brighten up the mood.

"I'm gonna be dead." Jungkook said, "Erase that. I'm actually pretty confident."

"I don't need to study." Jimin grinned, "I can just Netflix and chill." He said, "With my pillow."


"Can I talk to you?" Jin asked after dinner.

"I'm busy right now." I said walking past leaving him standing in the middle of the hall to our rooms.
