As Blind As Could Be...

“It was nothing.” You say.

“Are you sure? It looked like something to me.” Taeyeon rolls her eyes.

“Hey.” You put your hand on her shoulder. “It’s an EXO tradition. If your complaining now, I’ll have you now I wasn’t the only of the members he kissed.”

“It’s not that.” She sighs. “That video… those videos… in their eyes, I see something. It’s different than how friends look at each other.”

“We aren’t just friends.” You smile. “We’re family.”

“It’s not that!” She raises her voice. “They love you. THEY ALL DO. More than friends, more than family. They don’t act like that to anyone else than you.”

“Act like what?” You ask.

“See for yourself.” Taeyeon flicks your hand off her shoulder. “Baekhyun invited me to your dorm for dinner. Just watch. They’ll act differently towards me than you.”

She starts to walk away.

“Wait.” You stop her and she turns her head back. “I know from the bottom of my heart, Baekhyun has fallen for you. He cares for you, trust me. If anything happens, I hope nothing changes your mind.”

She nods, slightly and walks away.

“Babe~” Baekhyun opens the dorm door.

“Oppa!” She smiles. “Mmm, it smells good.”

“Eo. Yeowang, Kyungsoo, Jongin and I made dinner.” Baekhyun smiles, putting an arm around her.

He sits her down at the dining table with the other boys, while he went back to preparing dinner.

“Hey Baekhyun’s girlfriend.” Sehun smiles and sips on chocolate bubble tea.

“Here, we got this for you.” Xiumin hands her a bubble tea.

“Thank you.” She blushes.

She looks over at the kitchen. Your arranging food on the plates. Baekhyun stirs sauce and spoons some. He walks over to you and squishes your mouth open with one hand. Your eyes were still on the platters and hands were still arranging the food. You taste some of the sauce on the wooden spoon and your eyes widen.

“Whoa~ It tastes so good!” You smile, turning your face and attention to Baekhyun.

“Does it?” Baekhyun smiles back.

He tries the rest of the sauce on the wooden spoon and stomps his feet really fast and cute.

“It does!” Baekhyun cheers and you laugh.

Sharing the spoon? Aegyo? The way he looks at her. It’s different. He never does that with me. He never did that to or with me. Taeyeon sighs.

She continues to watch, channeling out of the other boys conversations.

“Yah! That’s not how you do it!” Kyungsoo complains.

“Like what then?” You ask, cutely and innocently.

“Like this.” Kyungsoo says.

He goes behind you and rests his head on your shoulder and he guides your hands, with his own, to arrange the platters correctly.

“Ahh okay. Thank you Oppa.” You smile and he leaves you, continuing to do his own work.

“How’s my girl doing?” Kai asks, putting an arm around you.

You laugh.

“Yes, I’m finished now Kkamjong, you can take the platters to the table.” You smile. “Tell the others they can start eating.”

“I might just eat you before I start eating the food myself.” Kai smirks.

You roll your eyes and nudge him to take the platters. He laughs briefly and kisses your cheek. He then takes 4 platters and places them on the table. Kyungsoo and Baekhyun help take the rest of the dishes to the table.

Taeyeon makes the “tch.” noise and turns back, drawing her attention to the food. Everyone gathers.

“Let’s eat!” Baekhyun smiles, arm around Taeyeon.

“Thank you for the meal!” The boys who didn’t prepare dinner say.

Everyone starts to eat. Taeyeon notices you don’t have a bubble tea and she smiles.

Difference between me… and her. They gift me, not her. They are used to her already so they forgot about her. She sips her bubble tea, happily.

Sehun widens his eyes as he drinks his bubble tea.

“Ah maja. I forgot to get you a bubble tea.” Sehun pouts in embarrassment.

“It’s alright, I don’t need one.” You shrug.

“Mmm, take mine.” Suho says.

“No, take mine.” Kyungsoo hands it out to you.

“Just share with me.” Kai smiles.

“I’m right next to you, take mine.” Lay dimple smiles.

“Ani, my flavor is your favorite, let’s share.” Baekhyun offers.

You laugh and Taeyeon puts her drink down in shock.

“Yahhhahaha. There’s so much bubble tea, I’ll just share one.” You take Baekhyun’s.

Taeyeon was sitting in between you and Baekhyun. You take a sip of the bubble tea and hand it back to him. He sips the drink and puts it back down.

Sharing again. “We’re just familiy” my ass. Taeyeon thinks.

Dinner’s over. You, Taeyeon and the boys sit around a round table. The lights are off and candles light up the room. A wine bottle sits in the middle of the table.

“Truth or DAREEEEE~!” Chanyeol breaks the short silence and you laugh. “Chaa~ I want to go first.”

Chanyeol spins the bottle. It lands on Baekhyun.

“Truth or dare?” Chanyeol smirks evilly.

“Hmmm.” He thinks, all eyes are on him. “Truth.”

“Me? or Me.” Chanyeol puts his wrists together, hands facing outwards and to his face.

“Aish.” The boys hit him playfully and everyone laughs.

“Okay, okay I’m serious now. Baekhyun… truth or dare.” Chanyeol calms down.

“Truth.” He repeats himself.

There’s a slight silence, then everyone’s laughter grows louder.

“Yah, what was the point of asking him that question when he already told you the answer.” You say laughing the hardest.

“Alright, alright I’m serious.” He rubs his hands together.

You lean back.

“Out of everyone in this room, pick the one that your the furthest from and one that your closest to.”

Baekhyun thinks. Everyone anticipates.

“The furthest from… honestly… I pick Taeyeon.” Baekhyun squints. “The closest… Jongin dongsaeng, or Yeowang.”

“What?” You say.

“Jinja!?” Taeyeon pouts.

“Me?” Kai laughs.

“Well, I’m close to everyone in this room. I picked Taeyeon, but doesn’t mean I’m really distant from her, it’s just that everyone else is at a higher level, because I mean c’mon, us, EXO, have known each other for 10+ years. But Taeyeon… it’s been 4 or 5 years. There’s a difference if you know what I mean.” Baekhyun says.

“We get it. Now spin the bottle before the topic gets any weirder.” Chen pats his back.

It lands on you, which doesn’t help the atmosphere. You picked dare, but he wanted you to pick truth.

“Me? or me.” Baekhyun copies Chanyeol and everyone laughs, changing the atmosphere. “I dare you to tell me, if you had the chance to from the beginning, would you be in an all girl group, or would you stay like our group now.”

“All girl group.” You surprise everyone. “You guys cause too much drama.”

“Aye.” They whine and pout.

“I’m kidding.” You laugh. “I love you guys.”

You spin the bottle and it lands back on Baekhyun.

“Should I spin again?” You ask, about to spin the bottle.

“No, just keep going.” Taeyeon smiles.

“Truth.” Baekhyun folds his arms as the answer.

“EXO… or Taeyeon.” You raise your eyebrow.

Everyone anticipates once again for Baekhyun’s answer.

“Taeyeon.” He replies. “I know there’s the ‘bros before hoes’ thing, but she’s different. If anything were to happen to her, I’d kill myself for guilt.”The boys say, “awww” and Taeyeon smiles.

“See?” You whisper into Taeyeon’s ear.

She hugs you in happiness.

The next day, Taeyeon and Baekhyun go on a date and spend the day and NIGHT together. (hehehe). He returns to the dorm, happy, delighted and somewhat different.

“Ahh good afternoon everyone! How was your day so far?” Baekhyun sings.

You and Kyungsoo were reading magazines filled with kpop news. Xiumin was making coffee for everyone. Suho had glasses on and was on his ipad. Chanyeol was on the V app with Sehun. Lay had gone off to his separate schedule, back to China. Chen was composing and singing a song. Kai was texting Taemin.

Kyungsoo looks up and gives Baekhyun a thumbs up, returning back to the article he was reading.

Baekhyun just stands there, hoping for someone to acknowledge him. You sigh, close your magazine and pat the cold, empty seat next to you on the sofa.

“What’s up?” You ask as Baekhyun smiles and marches to sit down next to you.

“I’m just really happy today.” Baekhyun says.

“Because?” You gesture your hands for him to elaborate.

“Can’t I just be really happy? Today is just a great day.” Baekhyun smiles.

“Or last night.” You reach for your magazine again and open up the article you were reading.

Everyone except for Baekhyun chuckles.

“Yah, she and I-” Baekhyun starts.

“You were being to cocky you gave yourself out.” Chen laughs hard.

“You’re the only one of all of us that has experienced it.” Suho winks.

“Only boy left in the group is what you mean.” You say back, flipping the magazine pages, reminding Suho of you and Luhan.

“How was it?” Kai sits next to Baekhyun and nudges Baekhyun.

You get up and leave. “Okayyy I don’t need to hear the details.”

Kyungsoo, Suho and Chen join you as you walk over to the hard-working Baozi.

“Ouuu the aroma of coffee has stolen my attention!” You smile and Xiumin as he looks up at you.

“Almost done.” Xiumin creates leaves with the white cream in the coffee mugs.

“Gamsahabnida Minseok-hyung.” Kyungsoo takes one mug with both hands, cupping it and smelling the freshly brewed espresso.

“My pleasure.” Xiumin smiles.

You take three. You enter your room where Sehun and Chanyeol were broadcasting on the V app.

“Ahhh she arrived.” Chanyeol smiles.

“I brought you coffee. Minseok hyung just made it fresh.” You hand them each a mug.

“Whoa~ What an honor.” Sehun says sarcastically.

You sit in the middle of Chanyeol and Sehun. Chanyeol’s wearing a black, thick, tank top and underwear. Sehun is naked, but covered up with a white robe. Your wearing a spaghetti-strap white tank top with a pink sports bra and black leggings. Sehun opens the covers for you and you wrap yourself in the blankets.

“Annyeong! Eunsoo-ibnida.” You wave and drink your espresso.

“Mmmm Minseok’s coffee is the best drink ever.” Sehun smirks.

The fans watching the live broadcast complain on how they want some as well and how they’re envious.

Chanyeol makes you read lyrics from his phone and sing a song with him and Sehun.

You suddenly realise something.

“Yah, why are we on my bed?” You look around. “Why are you guys broadcasting on my bed? Why are you only wearing a robe? Aish jinja, so annoying.”

They blush, laugh and mute the V app broadcast for a few seconds.

“Yah, not in front of them. We won’t spill the coffee we promise.” Chanyeol says and you get up from the bed.

“You better not beat off either.” You tease. “Sehun, for pete sake put some clothes on.”

Sehun and Chanyeol laugh and Chanyeol unmutes the broadcasts in the middle of laughing.

You go back outside and see that Taeyeon arrived and sitting next to Baekhyun all cheery.

“Aww look at them.” Chen teases. “Was the hotel room too small for you? Which dorm number? Ah, Baekhyun’s in dorm 3.”

“Yah aish!” Baekhyun hits Chen hard on the arm.

“Ow.” Chen pouts.

You sit next to Chen and rub his hurt arm.

“Aww, my poor Chenderella.” You tease.

Everyone laughs and you turn your attention to Baekhyun and Taeyeon.

“I’m glad everything’s good between you two. I’m happy that you two are happy together.” You smile.

“And it will stay like that, happiness forever.” Baekhyun smiles and looks at Taeyeon, brushing her bangs.

“There we go with the cockiness again.” Chen teases once more.

Baekhyun was about to hit him again, but you punched his stomach playfully. Taeyeon, thinking you actually punched Baekhyun starts to jump you. Baekhyun’s eyes widen and takes Taeyeon back.

“Wow, that’s when you know she’s a keeper.” You cough.

“Sorry.” She blushes.

“Ani, it’s all good.” You smile.

“So, Dear Santa’s coming out soon. I’m excited for you, Tiffany and Seohyun.” Kyungsoo smiles.

“Shouldn’t you be excited for Red Velvet or (coughs) Irene.” Baekhyun mutters.

“Yah!” Kyungsoo starts, but Taeyeon interrupts.

“And for you guys, Sing For You. I can’t wait to hear it.” Taeyeon smiles. “Isn’t it only the guitar playing in the background?”

“Ahh, maja.” Xiumin sits down. “Eunsoo-ah recorded with the guitar. She played the background music to the song.”

“Impressive.” Taeyeon smiles at you and you nod your head. “What about Lay-shi?”

Everyone was quiet for a few seconds.

“I don’t know. Hopefully he’ll be here though. We do miss him.” Suho responds.

Baekhyun takes you to the balcony once Taeyeon leaves.

“Is everything okay?” You ask.

“Eo. Everything’s perfect. I want my life to last like this forever.” He smiles, leaning on the railing.

“Well, forever’s a long time Mr. Cocky.” You nudge him.

“It’s better than never.” He back hugs you. “Thank you for setting things straight between me and her. I heard she told you she was uneasy, but you corrected things that night we played truth or dare.”

“Don’t worry about it.” You smile. “I’m very happy for you two. I know you’ll stick together no matter how hard the situation is.”

“Me too Yeowang, me too.”

“Honey and Kai break up and Baekhyun and Taeyeon break up related?”

“SM ending their first two official couples?”

“President Lee has yet another brilliant idea.” Kai sighs. “It’s really over between us.”

“Well, there really wasn’t an ‘us’ Kai… But I know you wanted there to be.” You sigh and hug Kai tightly. “Don’t cry.”

“I know you love me Yeowang, just not the way I love you.” Kai whimps.

“I love all of you. At least there is that. I love you Kim Jongin. And there’s nothing more I can give you. My love. My Friendship.”

“I love you.” Jongin cries. “Can I just… one more time?”

You hesitate and he kisses you anyways. You can’t help but kiss him back. You kiss him deeply and breath.

You kiss his forehead. “I’m sorry, but… even if I wanted to be with you now, President Lee…”

He let’s go of your grasp and leaves the room, heading for the dance studio.

“If he has it this bad… what about-” You start.

“EUNSOO-AH!” He calls for you.

Your eyes widen, knowing that tone, knowing what’s about to happen next. He walks into you, Kai and Chanyeol’s room. He drags his feet as if they weigh a ton each. He slumps his back as he sits next to you on the bed. He looks down.

“Hey… don’t be like that. It’s not your fault.” You pat his back as tears drop from his eyes to his pants. “It’s not her fault either. I… I don’t know what to say.”

“Y-You lied to me.” He sniffs. “You said s-s-she and I-I would stick together forever no matter how h-ard the situation is.”

You sigh.

“YOU LIED!” He screams.

He turns to you and grabs the collar of your shirt with his left hand. He hits you somewhat hard with the other hand.

“How could you (hit) lied (hit) to me (hit). You said (hit) we’d last forEVER! (HIT)” Baekhyun’s voice grows higher.

As he hits you harder, you start to feel pain. Tears fall down your face hearing him, knowing he’s in pain. Tears fall down your face by the amount of force he hits you with.

You flick away both of his hands and he immediately pulls you in. His arms are wrapped around your waist so tight that your sitting on his lap. His face is covered by your chest (above your breasts but below your shoulders and neck). Your eyes widen and soften. You put your arms around his neck and dramatically lower your head and rest on his shoulder. Your head is facing his head and neck.

He feels your breathe on his neck and it soothes him. And you just sit there, letting him cry the pain away.

Everyone comes in and sits around you two, patting Baekhyun’s back and he cries harder. After 30 minutes or so, they all leave you and Baekhyun alone. Kai and Chanyeol go to sleep in the other rooms. Before Chanyeol leaves, he merges his bed with yours so it would be easier for you two to sleep. He kisses your neck and goes out of the room.

Baekhyun hasn’t let go of you at all. You lean back and he follows you. He holds you extremely tight. You brush his hair with your fingers and sing him a lullaby. You sway him back and forth slightly and he hums to your lullaby. With that, he slowly falls asleep.

You kiss his forehead.

“Lee Sooman (you smile and tears fall). You really can’t stop at nothing… playing with your guinea pigs all the time. Separating us for money.” You yawn.

--FLASHBACK--

This morning.

President Lee sends for you, Kai, Baekhyun and Taeyeon to his office. Innocent and clueless, you enter.

“How are my two favorite couples doing?” He asks.

“We are your only two couples, but we’re doing great.” You smile.

“So you all know how I LOVE earning money from my little guinea pigs.” He starts.

“Yes we all know.” Kai sits down and everyone follows.

“Here I go again with another ‘experiment’ of mine. SM’s stocks aren’t as high as they are anymore now that the people are used to hearing news about your relationships… So here’s my proposal that you’ll follow through.” President Lee smiles nervously as he knows he has to give you bad news.

“A TV show? We got married? Show affections to public?” Baekhyun smiles at Taeyeon and she interlocks his hand with hers.

“No. Something that will start riots in the streets. Fans in happiness and sadness and so much more. Something that I should’ve done months ago.” President Lee says.

“And that is?” Taeyeon leans on Baekhyun as they sit as close as possible.

Kai leans back in his chair and puts an arm around you, who was unamused, knowing what President Lee’s proposal is.

“I’m breaking you up.” President Lee folds his hands.

“What?!” Baekhyun, Taeyeon and Kai stand up.

You shake your head and put an elbow on the table, holding your head by the forehead.

“You can’t do this to us? For you!” Baekhyun yells and tightens Taeyeon’s hand.

“And what about me?” Kai sighs.

“Oh, come ON!” President Lee slams his hands on the table which startles you. “Three year apart relationship? And the girl is older? That wasn’t going to last long anyways. And you two (points at you and Kai), your relationship is FAKE! Or did you guys fall in love and call it fate?”

President Lee inspects your actions and compares it to Kai’s. You are still sitting compared to Kai, who was shocked and afraid and standing.

“Oh! Is this a one sided love?” President Lee smirks.

You look up and stand up. “What are you talking about?”

“Oh dear, my sweet, blind Honey really didn’t know all this time?” President Lee smirks.

“OF COURSE I knew, I’m not that stupid.” You slam the table harder. “With all do respect I reject your proposal. Not for our case (you gesture yourself and Kai), but for Taeyeon and Baekhyun. You can’t do this to them. They’ve been together for a very long time and suddenly breaking them apart? It’s not right. It won’t be easy for them, for you, for the fans. Love… it doesn’t work that way.”

“Oh what do you know about love?” President Lee asks you.

“More than you, you bastard.” You were about to go at him, but Kai stops you.

You sigh. “Sorry, I got a little carried away.”

“No it’s okay. That’s what you expect from a FOE.” President Lee scoffs.

(FOE is the opposite HONEY, pun intended because your stage name is Honey)

You urge to talk back but Baekhyun pats your back to stop you from doing anything.

“Your relationships are over, DONE. PERIOD. No more questions. Congratulations on your next comeback, to both groups.” President Lee leaves the room.

“UGGHHHHH!” Kai complains loudly and leaves the room, you run after him.

Baekhyun and Taeyeon look at each other with teary eyes. Baekhyun doesn’t cry, he watches Taeyeon cry in his arms. He doesn’t like to cry, especially in public, especially in front of Taeyeon. He weakly let’s go of Taeyeon’s tight grasp and walks out of the room, leaving her alone.

As Taeyeon is left alone, she channels her anger. Her anger towards President Lee, Baekhyun and you. Anger to Lee Sooman because of what he did to her and Baekhyun’s relationship. Anger to Baekhyun for leaving her alone in the room and worrying about himself, going to you. Anger to you because of her huge amount of jealousy towards you. With that, a huge thick, dark wall forms around Taeyeon’s heart, she was no longer the same girl as before.

Baekhyun closes the door and puts a fist to his mouth, trying to contain his pain as he drags his feet back to the dorm, searching for you.

--END FLASHBACK--

“How much longer are you going to use us?” You whisper. "Pretty soon there will be nothing left of us to use."

You sigh and slowly fall asleep with Baekhyun in your arms.

Ayee haven't posted in 10 DAYS, sorry I was with family and friends and everything, you know the holidays.
