The Roller Coaster That Is Life

Chapter 8: Out With The Truth

Nita's POV

Nita felt like she was on pins and needles the entire time they made their way to her new residence. She didn't know why the two guys were glaring at each other, she just hoped nothing went wrong. When they arrived at the house, she just sat their staring at it, it was huge from the outside.
"You thinking about going in?" Siwon asked, turning from the front passenger seat.
"It's HUGE!!" Nita exclaimed, she wasn't sure she wanted to go in.
"What did you expect? You work for YG's Big Bang, you didn't think it was going to be small, did you?" Donghae asked now looking at her as well.
"Kaja, we'll show you where your room is, we have some surprises for you," Donghae added.
"Surprises?" Nita asked, she really didn't want any surprises, honestly the house was a big enough surprise, this was going to take some time getting used to.
"Kaja," Siwon said, getting out of the car. He looked worried to Nita, like something was on his mind, and he didn't know what to do.
"Is everything alright?" she whispered to him, so that Donghae didn't hear.
"I don't know yet, we'll see," he said vaguely.
"Can I ask you something?" her eyes were following the pathway to the entrance of the house, it seemed like the others had made it before them.
"Hmm," he answered, Nita took that to mean that it was okay to ask.
"Why were you and Jiyong glaring at each other?" She asked, she saw, but she wasn't sure the others saw what she saw. She wanted to make sure she saw right.
"It's nothing, there's just something about him that irks me," Siwon said looking at the house.
"Okay," was all that she could really say, what else was there to comfort him about.
They made their way into the house, Nita was right, the house was huge. Walking in through the door, she saw the open floor plan, the living room, kitchen and dining room along with two smaller rooms. She looked on either side of her and saw two sets of grand staircases going to the top.
"Follow me," Donghae said, taking her hand and leading her up the stairs.
All she could do was follow.
They reached the top, and Nita could see six different doors, they took her to the only one that was open. Siwon came up behind her and covered her eyes.
She knew when she entered the room because all conversation in the room ceased, she felt the cool air that only an air conditioner could create.
Then Siwon removed his hands from her eyes.
It took a couple of seconds for her eyes to adjust, but once she could see, she saw all her belongings, not just her clothes and essentials she had packed from the states, but her linen and bed things, picture frames, wall decorations, and then see looked off to the left side of the room and saw shelves full of her books, all her favorite books. All these things she'd still had at her parents' house, how did they get here. She didn't remember talking to anyone about bringing her things over. Then she saw her journal sitting on the table, she began to connect all the dots, why Siwon had found her, why he had helped her, why he had became her friend, all those things weren't because he wanted to, he had done those things because he felt sorry for her.
Everyone was waiting for her reaction, she didn't know how to react. She loved the guys for helping her out and organizing her stuff, even bringing it from the US to Korea, she knew it must have been expensive, she promised herself she would pay them back.
She composed her out-of-whack emotions and turned around pasting a smile on her face, "Thanks guys, I love it!"
Nita thought she might have over done it on the excitement part, because Donghae asked, "What's wrong, do you not like it?"
Yep, she'd over done it, "No, that's not it, I really do love it, but how did you guys get all my things here. All of this stuff was still back in the states. How did you guys know where to go and get it?"
All the guys looked at Siwon, Nita's gut had been right, "Can you guys leave us, we need to talk," she, didn't look at the others, her eyes were on Siwon, "we won't be long, I promise. I'm hungry too, so I'll be down to make something," she said as she looked at the each of the five guys.
"Okay, don't take too long, otherwise we'll send someone up to check on you guys," Eunhyuk said pushing the others out the door and quietly closing the door behind him.
Nita didn't know how to start this conversation, both of them stood there just staring at each other. She didn't want to argue, but she knew that that's where this was going to go.
"I don't ever remember telling you about where all my belongings were," she said, really asking the question she wanted to, she wanted to hear the truth from him.
"You didn't," Siwon said, looking anywhere but at her.
"Then how did you know, Siwon," Nita asked icily, she was getting pissed off at herself, for not going with her get feeling.
Siwon looked at her now, she'd never used that kind of voice and attitude towards him before and he looked worried. He better be, she thought. He didn't answer. So she decided to be direct about it, at least she'd know better next time, "Did you read my journal, Siwon? That night when I first met you at the café, had you come to return it after you had read it?", the question was point blank, she didn't want to beat around the bush.
He looked at her with the same worried look he had in the car and she knew now what he was so worried about. It wasn't worry about his rivalry with Big Bang, it was worry over her reaction to the truth.
"You've known everything this whole time?" she asked, again no answer.
"You've known about my divorce, the things I went through at that time, my relationship with Aiden and Nate, the fallout with my family, and every other thing I had written in there?!!" she was yelling now, she tried to calm herself down, but tears started forming, her vision began blurring, and she just couldn't stop it from happening.
"I knew there had been something off that night, you offered me the apartment. Something didn't feel right, I just thought that maybe, just maybe, my luck had changed for the better and only good things were going to happen now. I guess I was wrong, you helped me out because you pitied me!" she said, knowing that she had been right about her initial gut feeling.
"No!" Siwon yelled, he walked to her and fell to his knees. Nita didn't realized she'd fallen to the floor while crying.
"No, I never pitied you. Yes, I read your journal, yes, the night I'd met you, I had read the journal, yes, I knew everything this whole time, yes, I read about your divorce, everything you went through at that time, about your relationship, about your family, and everything else, I'm sorry. I'm truly and honestly sorry," he said holding her shoulders, his hands then cupped her face, "but I never pitied you, never. After reading your journal, I felt like I knew you, for some reason I connected with it, with you. . . . . my helping wasn't because I pitied you, it was because I admired you, for your courage and strength. You have been through so much yet you're not in some corner crying or depressed, you had the courage to leave the country you were born and raised in, to come to a completely new place and make it on your own. I admire you for your strength and courage, I do not pity you."
Well, what was she supposed to say to that. She didn't know what to say, her tears had stopped, but she still felt betrayed.
"I know that a simple apology isn't going to change what I did. But I am really sorry, Nita. Why don't you get cleaned up, I'll go downstairs. You don't have to forgive me now or ever if you want, but part of me knew this would happen, which was one of the reasons why I didn't tell you in the beginning. I never would have gotten to spend time with you, get to know you. I'm going to leave, don't worry, I'll tell the guys I have an early start tomorrow. They'll understand. Goodnight, Nita," said Siwon as he walked out the door.
Nita decided that it would be a good idea to clean up. She made her way to the bathroom, and noticed there was an adjoining door on the other side. She decided to explore it later and went to the sink instead. She turned on the faucet when she felt something nudge her leg. She looked down to find a dog, it was none other than Jiyong's dog, Gaho.
"Hey big guy, what are you doing here?" She asked, picking him up.
The dog cuddled into her closer.
"Awwwww, you are so cute!" And he licked her face.
Nita felt comforted, it still hurt. She didn't think that Siwon could betray her, she decided not to think about it right now, instead she washed her face, looked in the mirror, and made sure she was presentable. She looked in the mirror and made sure there were no signs of her crying.
Gaho followed her out of the bathroom and she made her way towards the stairs. Once she was downstairs, she noticed the whole gang in action.
The members of Big Bang were having a conversation with the rest of the Super Junior members.
While the other members were having a conversation, she noticed Donghae and Shindong in the kitchen cutting some vegetables. She made her way past everyone and into the kitchen, peered over their shoulder and asked them "what are you guys doing?," They both looked at her, and Donghae answered, "were making fried rice," and he went right back to chopping.
"I thought I was making dinner," she said, and squeezed her way between the two.
"You look exhausted, why don't you help a little bit and then just sit back and relax," Shindong said bobbing his head toward the couch, implying that she should go sit down with the rest of the group. Nita enjoyed cooking, and she honestly didn't want to go sit down after everything that happened with Siwon.
"Why don't I finished shopping vegetables while you guys do something else," she said taking the knife from Shindong.
While Nita was having her argument with Shindong, there was a debate going on in the living room on what song they were going to play. Everyone had agreed that it should be an American song, but the argument was which American song.
Daesung and T.O.P were tired of listening to everyone argue. Both looked at each other, and T.O.P nodded his head. Daesung nodded back and the decision was made between the two.
Nita was almost done chopping on the vegetables, when she heard the music playing from the living, she smiled to herself it had been a while since she heard the song and it was one of her favorites, "Rather Be" by Clean Bandit.
The music started and she lost her self to the rhythm of the words, not realizing she had an audience, "where a thousand miles from comfort, we have traveled land and sea, but as long as you are with me, there's no place I'd rather be," she started singing the song, and losing herself to the rhythm, "I would wait forever, exulted in the sea, as long as I am with you, my heart continues to beat,"
Her body was now moving along with the beat, "with every step we take, Kyoto to the bay, strolling so casually, where different and the same, get you another name, switch up the batteries," she whirled around the kitchen island and continued going with the rhythm of the music, all the while five sets of eyes clearly trained on her.
"If you gave me a chance I would take it, it's a shot in the dark but I'll make it, know with all of your heart, you can't shake me, when I'm with you, there's no place I'd rather be," the chorus went on playing as she continued dancing around the kitchen.
"We staked out on a mission to find our inner peace, make it everlasting so nothing's incomplete, it's easy being with you, sacred simplicity, as long as we're together there is no place I'd rather be," as the music went on and her body stuck with the rhythm, she was now in the living room, most of the Super Junior members were dancing too.
Shindong grabbed her hand and whirled her around as she sang the chorus again, "with every step we take, Kyoto to the bay, strolling so casually, were different and the same, get you another name, switch up the batteries," as the whirl finished, she grabbed her hands and both of them were step dancing, as the next verse came into play, "if you gave me a chance I would take it, it's a shot in the dark but I'll make it, know with all of your heart, you can't shake me, when I'm with you, there is no place I'd rather be," she was lost in the song, forgetting about all her issues, she let herself go,
"When I am with you, there's no place I'd rather be, yeah, Beeeeeeeee, hoooooooo, oh, be,be,be,be,be,be,be,be,be, yeah-e-yeah-e-yeah-e-yeah-e-yeah, yeah, yeah, if you gave me a chance I would take it, it's a shot in the dark but I'll make it, know with all your heart, you can't shake me, when I'm with you, there's no place I'd rather be," shouthing the chorus go on with her eyes closed, still going with the rhythm of the music, "when I am with you, there's no place I'd rather be."
When the last music notes faded away, she looked up with a smile on her face. She felt as if a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. Soon there was a round of applause around the whole house, she turned around to look and see who it was, and noticed that it wasn't just one person, it was everybody.
"That was great, I didn't know you could sing," exclaimed Daesung.
"Daebak," said Seungri
Nita looked around to see thumbs up from the others, and she smiled and bowed. She didn't want to waste any more time, dinner was ready and it looked like everyone was hungry, "Kaja, dinner's ready, let's eat," as she headed to the kitchen and pulled out paper plates.
As she served everyone else, she looked around at the scene before her, she couldn't help but miss the only other person that wasn't there, Siwon.

Siwon's POV

The trip to the house was a quite one, no one said anything, and the air was filled with tension. He didn't know what Donghae and Nita were thinking, but his thoughts were preoccupied with potential reactions on his confession. He couldn't help the feeling of foreboding. He was pulled off of his train of thought, when the car jerked to a halt. He looked out the window and saw the house, Siwon turned around and saw Nita staring with a wide-eyed expression out the window. He gave her some time to take it all in, he figured this was an adjustment from everything she had been used to.
After about five minutes he asked, "you thinking about going in," he wanted to laugh at her reaction, she was not surprised, she was shocked.
"It's HUGE," she exclaimed, something similar to a child seeing an airplane.
"What did you expect," Donghae asked, "You work for YG's Big Bang, you didn't think it was going to be small, did you?"
Siwon and Donghae hadn't been surprised when they had first seen the house, it was expected, the others didn't make a big deal about it either when they saw it. Siwon still had to keep in mind that her background was completely different from everyone else here.
"Kaja, we'll show you where your room is, we have some surprises for you," Donghae added, Siwon knew what both surprises were, he had brought up the idea as a thank you to her. Ever since she had met them, she was a big help. She did everything from small things, like bringing by a pair of clothes, to cooking dinner for everyone. Since they'd met her, they didn't lack in homemade foreign foods. Everyone had agreed that they should do something for her. They had all decided that helping her move in was on thing they could all do, and pitching in some cash for a car that she could use would be the other thing that they would do. Siwon and Donghae were the only ones who actually went and brought the vehicle, but now Siwon was worried that she wouldn't accept it. The vehicle that they brought her was in their price range, but she wouldn't consider it in hers.
It seemed like the worries were piling on top of one another.
"Surprises?" she asked, sounding a bit apprehensive.
Siwon didn't want to wait anymore, the anticipation was killing him, "Kaja," he said getting out of the car, opening her door and helping her out as well.
A little bit up the way to the house, Nita whispered, "Is everything alright?"
It was a good question, he wasn't so sure himself, how was he going to answer a question he had no answer too, "I don't know yet, we'll see," he answered, it wasn't far from the truth.
"Can I ask you something," she asked following the pathway with her eyes, not looking at him.
He did the same, answering, "Hmmm."
"Why were you and Jiyong glaring at each other," she asked, Siwon gave himself a wry smile, she'd noticed. He knew why he had been glaring at Jiyong, the guy had been staring at her. And not in the oh-I'm-curious way, but in a oh-I-might-be-interested way. It had bothered him. One would say, it made him jealous, but he wasn't going to say that to her, "It's nothing, there's just something about him that irks me," he said looking anywhere but at her.
"Okay," she answered back, such a simple response. He tried not to over analyze her answer.
They made their way inside the house, it was typical house. Two stories, the bottom floor was all common area, with two extra additions of a practice studio and recording studio. The second floor consisted of their bedrooms and three shared bathrooms and a veranda looking over the front door and entry way. Siwon knew that she would be living comfortably here. "Follow me," Donghae lead the way to the stairs, taking her hand, Siwon followed the two. Each step was getting harder to take as the time came to come clean. Nita was still in awe, as she took in her surroundings. Before they led her to her room, Siwon went behind and covered her eyes, this was surprise number one, he really hoped she liked it. They made their way to the entry of the door and guided her in. And he removed his hands, so that she could see.
He gave her a chance to take everything in, Siwon risked a glance at Donghae, who looked almost as nervous as Siwon felt. Siwon risked a glanced at Nita, he could see the gears turning in her head, she was pulling the pieces together. Siwon knew when the light bulb had clicked on in her head, because her eyes registered shock. He knew she reigned in her emotions, when a smile erupted her face and she said, "Thanks guys, I love it!!" But not everyone was fooled, the others seemed convinced but Donghae saw right through it, "What's wrong, do you not like it?
"No, that's not it, I really do love it, but how did you guys get all my things here? All of this stuff was still back in the states. How did you guys know where to go and get it," she didn't beat around the bush, it was one thing she never did. His bandmates weren't making the confessions part of this easy, when they all looked in his direction to answer Nita's question, "Can you guys leave us, we need to talk," her eyes never left his face when she said that. This was it.
"Okay, don't take too long, otherwise we'll send someone up to check on you guys," Eunhyuk said while herding everyone out of the room.
There was a long pause after everyone left, Siwon didn't know how to start the conversation. "I don't ever remember telling you about where all my belongings were," she said, just stating what she wanted to ask.
"You didn't," Siwon had a hard time looking her in the eye.
"Then how did you know, Siwon," her tone had a harsh coldness to it, one he had never heard before, it sent a chill down his spine. He looked at her now, he was scared and worried, he didn't want to lose her.
"Did you read my journal, Siwon? That night when I first met you at the café, had you come to return it after you had read it," she asked, again she didn't beat around the bush. She didn't give him a chance to answer the question, "You've known everything this whole time," she asked, Siwon wanted to answer her questions, but it was plainly obvious what he had done and the guilty never really answered.
"You've know about my divorce, the things I went through at that time, my relationship with Aiden and Nate, the fallout with my family, and every other thing I had written in there," now she was yelling, tears began to fall from her eyes. It took everything in him not to go to her and beg for forgiveness.
"I knew there had been something off that night, you offered me the apartment. Something didn't feel right, I just thought that maybe, just maybe, my luck had changed for the better and only good things were going to happen now. I guess I was wrong, you helped me out because you pitied me!" She fell to the floor, tears streaming down her face. He had never pitied her, seeing her hurt finally told him to say something, "No," he yelled, he hoped that no one else heard either of them yelling, it would be a disaster if someone else came in. He fell to the floor, begging for her to forgive him, but also to look at her while he explained himself, setting his hands on her shoulders "No, I never pitied you. Yes, I read your journal, yes, I read about your divorce, everything you went through at that time, about your relationship, about your family, and everything else, I'm sorry. I'm truly and honestly sorry," his hands moved from her shoulders to cup her face, he wanted to let her know, that he was being sincere, "but I never pitied you, never. After reading you journal, I felt like I knew you, for some reason I connected with it, with you. . . . .my helping you wasn't because I pitied you, it was because I admired you, for your courage and strength. You have been through so much, yet you're not in some corner crying or depressed, you had the courage to leave the country you were born and raised in, to come to a completely new place and make it on your own. I admire you for your strength and courage, I DO NOT pity you," he finished, none of what he said was untrue, he really did admire and respect her. He'll admit it to himself that his method of understanding her was wrong, but he'd do it again. She didn't say anything to him, the look she gave him clearly said traitor, he understood what that meant.
I'm going to leave, don't worry. I'll tell the guys I have an early start tomorrow. They'll understand. Goodnight, Nita," he looked at her one more time, he couldn't help but think, he'd really messed this up.
As Siwon made his way downstairs he noticed everyone enjoying themselves. That one conversation with Nita, left him feeling exhausted, he saw Donghae and made his way to the kitchen, "Hey, I have an early start tomorrow so I'm going to go home and sleep," Donghae gave him a questioning look, Siwon nodded slightly letting him know that they were alright. Donghae tossed him the car keys and headed towards the door, all the energy slowly leaving his body.

G-Dragon's POV

Jiyong made his way up the stairs, to his new room. There was a hurricane of activity going around in Nita's room, with people talking and yelling and going this way and that. He made his way past her room, and walked into his. The first thing he wanted to check was his closet, he had the movers specifically organize his closet first, his clothes were important. He could still hear the bustling activity going on in Nita's room as he checked his closet, the noise could clearly be heard from the adjoining bathroom. Jiyong had never shared a bathroom with a girl before. After checking the closet, he double checked the shelves, his night tables, and then made his way to the bathroom. The size of the bathroom was good enough, they both had their own sink, but they had to share the toilet, the bathtub, and the shower. All his toiletries had been set up the way he'd asked. Some of Nita's things were still sitting on the counter, the guys hadn't gotten to it yet.
He decided to help them out, walked over to the sink, opened the small cabinet above it and started organizing her things into it. He could hear conversation going on in the room and couldn't help but eavesdrop.
"You think she'll like it, how we organized," said Ryeowook, putting books on a shelf.
"She should be happy were doing anything," grunted Kyuhyun, he sounded as if he was having difficulty with something.
"When will you stop being so mean," said Eunhyuk, "she's good to you, no matter what you say to her, don't you think that should change your disposition?"
Jiyong couldn't help but sneak a peek through the open door. Eunhyuk was helping Ryeowook organize more books on the shelf. Jiyong noticed more boxes sitting on the side, and wondered when Nita had the time to read all those.
Jiyong's gaze wandered the room, Donghae was making her bed, Kyuhyun was indeed having trouble, the box he was trying to open, wasn't cooperating.
"Oh! There's little teddies in here," said Ryeowook, pulling out several small stuffed animals, "where should I put them," he asked to no one in general.
"Here, toss them to me, we'll put them on the bed," said Donghae opening his arms, to catch the stuffed animals.
Ryeowook toss them to Donghae one at a time, and Donghae caught them effortlessly, they had a good rhythm going. You wouldn't think one girl would have so many stuffed animals, but apparently it was possible.
Jiyong had finished organizing Nita's things into the cabinet and headed back to his room, he didn't want to intrude.
A Little Bit Later
Jiyong was sitting in his work area, trying to piece together his song, but nothing came.
"No!" he heard yelling coming from Nita's room, worried he ran straight to the conjoining bathroom, he stopped short of being seen.
Looking into the room, he saw Nita crying on the floor, her legs fanning out at the knee. Siwon ran to her and fell to his knees, he held her shoulders and looked her in the eyes, "No, I never pitied you. Yes, I read your journal, yes, the night I'd met you, I had read your journal, yes, I knew everything this whole time, yes, I read about your divorce, everything you went through at that time, about your relationship, about your family, and everything else, I'm sorry. I'm truly and honestly sorry," Jiyong had to give the guy some credit, he was trying his hardest. If someone were to walk in on them, they would assume, those two were together, Jiyong felt for the guy. He looked like he wasn't going to survive, if she didn't believe him, "but I never pitied you, never. After reading your journal, I felt like I knew you, for some reason I connected with it, with you. . . . . .my helping wasn't because I pitied you, it was because I admired you, for your courage and strength. You have been through so much yet you're not in some corner crying or depressed, you had the courage to leave the country you were born and raised in, to come to a completely new place and make it on your own. I admire you for your strength and courage, I do not pity you," he finished, Jiyong couldn't help but think that this would make an excellent love scene in a movie. Silence greeted Siwon, you'd think she would say something right about now, he thought.
"I know that a simple apology isn't going to change what I did, but I am really sorry, Nita," Jiyong hid against the inside wall of the bathroom, he was sure Siwon had seen him, "Why don't you get cleaned up, I'll go downstairs. You don't have to forgive me now or ever if you want, but part of me knew this would happen, which was one of the reasons why I didn't tell you in the beginning. I never would have gotten to spend time with, get to know you. I'm going to leave, don't worry, I'll tell the guys I have an early start tomorrow. They'll understand, goodnight Nita," he said as he walked out the door.
Jiyong's eyes floated back to Nita, who was still on the floor, in tears. His instinct was to go to her and give her some kind of comfort, but his mind stopped him. The last thing she probably wanted was someone eavesdropping on her fight with Siwon. Jiyong scolded himself, as he quietly made his way back to his room, he shouldn't have made assumptions, everyone was fighting their own battles. She had scars, that were only visible to her.
Jiyong looked back towards the bathroom again, he didn't know how to comfort her, and something was telling him to go and make sure she was okay. He looked around his room, to see if he could come up with an excuse to go see her, but he couldn't find anything, then his gaze fell onto his bed. Gaho. Jiyong smiled to himself as Gaho looked up at him. "Hey, buddy, come here," Jiyong said tapping his thigh, to call the animal over. Gaho immediately wobbled his way to his owner. "Good boy," Jiyong praised, squatting down, and petting Gaho, "hey, I need you to do me a favor, Gaho, can you do it," Jiyong asked, now scratching Gaho behind the ears, the dog panted heavily at the attention being given to him, "I need you to go in there," Jiyong nodded towards the bathroom, "and see if she's okay, can you do that," he asked the dog, Gaho barked, "shhhhhhhh," Jiyong quickly put on figure over his mouth, "she doesn't need to know I'm here, here, you go, and be good," he petted Gaho once more, and nudged him towards the bathroom. Once Gaho made it into the bathroom, he slowly walked out of his room and made his way back down the stairs.
Coming down the stairs Jiyong noticed Siwon talking to Donghae in the kitchen, looked like he really was leaving. Jiyong noticed the rest of his buddies chilling in the living room with some of the other members of Super Junior. He parked himself on the armrest of the couch where Youngbae was sitting. The house was a cornucopia of sounds and activity, in the kitchen Shindong and Donghae were chopping away, while in the living room, there were a number of different conversations going around, eventually everyone was on the same topic, of what music to play next. It seemed like that debate was going to take a while.
From the corner of his eyes he saw Nita coming down the stairs, with Gaho in tow. Soon she was in his sight of vision, she looked around, to the left and then to the right, her head wondered a bit till she saw what was going on the kitchen. She quickly made her way pass all the hustle and bustle of the living room, straight to the kitchen. She stuck her head in between the only two guys in the kitchen and a few seconds later, forced herself between the two guys. For some reason, Jiyong had the unbelievable urge to go over there and create some more space between the three of them. He shook his head, trying to clear the intrusive thought.
"You alright," asked Youngbae, all Jiyong did was nod, his attention was focused on the happenings in the kitchen.
It looked like Nita was having a conversation with Shindong, from the way he saw it, it looked like Shindong wasn't getting his way. Shindong reluctantly started making his way to the living room. Jiyong couldn't help but smile, the fact that Shindong looked dejected, wasn't why he was smiling. He was smiling because she looked happy. He had thought that after everything that had happened in her bedroom, she would have made some excuse and stayed in her room. She continued where Shindong had left off, but at a much quicker pace, before Jiyong could look away she was almost done.
Not much later, he heard music playing. He looked at the others, and noticed a secret smile being shared between T.O.P and Daesung. The music started up, and from the corner of his eyes, he saw Nita start swaying to the music. He smiled, he couldn't help it, with all the good vibes swaying in the house. He soon found himself swaying to the music as well.
"were a thousand miles from comfort, we have traveled land and sea, but as long as you are with me, there's no place I'd rather be," Jiyong's gaze follows the sound to the kitchen, to see Nita's back swaying and hear her singing. As the music picked up, so did her movements. Jiyong found it hard to look away, but did notice she'd gotten the attention of his other band members. He noticed the SuJu guys enjoying the music, but didn't pay much attention to Nita singing.
"I would wait forever, exulted in the sea, as long as I am with you, my heart continues to beat, with every step we take, Kyoto to the bay, strolling so causally, we're different and the same, get you another name, switch up the batteries. If you gave me a chance I would take it, it's a shot in the dark but I'll make it, know with all of your heart, you can't shake me, when I'm with, there's no place I'd rather be." By the time the chorus was over, she was singing and whirling her way to the living room area.
"We staked out on a mission to find our inner peace, make it everlasting so nothing's incomplete, it's easy being with you, sacred simplicity, as long as we're together, there is no place I'd rather be." Her singing wasn't bad, Jiyong thought. Her dancing was okay too. Once she was in the living room, Jiyong could see her smiling. Like a real, I'm-happy-to-be-here-and-nothing's-wrong-with-my-life smile, Shindong took her hand and started spinning her while dancing and enjoying himself, the spinning came to an end, they started two stepping. Jiyong laughed, more out of amazement than anything else. It was as if nothing bad had happened and everything was perfect, if he hadn't seen her, he would have never known, just like everyone right now.
The singing and dancing went on as he looked at Youngbae. Youngbae looked at him with a raised eyebrow, "not bad, right," he asked. Jiyong shrugged his shoulders, "I don't know," was all he could manage to say, it was what he was really thinking. Nita seemed to have a strong bond with these guys, would she really be able to blend in with them too.
"She sings pretty well," Daesung said, to no one in particular.
"Her dancing's not bad either," T.O.P said, coming from him that was a compliment of sorts, the guy's dancing had improved considerably throughout the years.
"She's our assistant manager, not a new member," Jiyong said harshly. It wasn't a lie, he had thought the things they had voiced, but they didn't know that. Her singing was average and her dancing could use some major improvement, he thought.
"That was kind of harsh, Jiyong. Would it be so hard to compliment her on one thing," Youngbae said, Jiyong didn't know what he was thinking, but he felt Nita had to prove herself to him. She was hired as a manager, not a new member.
"She's pretty when she smiles," Seungri said, smiling while watching her. Jiyong just shook his head.
"Neh, she is," Daesung added.
As the music ended, the others started clapping. It took a minute for her to register what was going on, she looked around the room and smiled.
"That was great, I didn't know you could sing," Daesung practically yelled, Jiyong thought.
"Daebak," Seungri added.
She didn't say anything, just bowed and smiled some more.
"Kaja, dinner's ready, let's eat," she yelled above all the noise, and made her way to the kitchen. She served everyone as the other's grabbed their plates.
Once everyone had gotten their food, Jiyong went up to get some more, "You not eating," he asked.
"I don't have much of an appetite tonight, I'm okay," she said smiling, "here, let me," she took the serving utensil out of his hand and motioned for him to bring his plate closer to the pot.
As Jiyong made his way back to the living room where everyone was eating, he looked back as Nita was setting the utensil in an plate off to the side.
She didn't look happy, she wasn't smiling like she had before, but when anyone looked in her direction the smile was back on her face. She was good at hiding her feelings, no one else here even noticed that she was upset. Everyone was having a good time.
