The Roller Coaster That Is Life

Chapter 9: Settling In

Nita's POV

The next morning, she didn't waste any time getting her schedule going. She decided to start with her morning run, that way she would get a chance to familiarize herself with the neighborhood. Gaho had decided he didn't want to leave her, and followed her out on her run. After running a couple of blocks her mind went back to the events of last night. When she had thought that Siwon pitied her. Honestly, if she had thought about it calmly at the time, maybe she wouldn't have seen a different side to him. Thinking about it now, she could see regret on his face and he was sincere in his apology. And if she looked at the situation from an outsider's perceptive, it looked as if she over reacted. She did beat him with her purse and he did return what was hers. He didn't have to give it back to her, he didn't even have to look for her. He could have just thrown it away and not given it a second glance. But because he read it, he choose to help her out. If he hadn't helped her out, she never would have met all the wonderful people she knows now. She wouldn't have a good paying job with equally good people working with her. But her heart was still upset with him, her mind eased some, but her heart was still hurt. Why hadn't he told her the truth when returning her journal? He could have told her after they'd become a bit close, couldn't he? Didn't he trust her enough to think that she'd keep her shit together? She paused her thought train for a second, when he did tell her, did she keep her shit together? She thought. No, she hadn't. In fact she started crying and fell to the floor. She rubbed at her chest, why was the fact that she thought he pitied her, hurt?
"Arf, arf!"
"Huh?" Nita slowed her pace and turned around while jogging backwards. Gaho was a bit behind, "Come on buddy, you can do it, before you know it, you'll be outrunning me," she said, smiling at him.
"Arf, grrrr!"
"Aww, don't worry, if you stay with me, I'll get you into tip top shape. You know I have a dog, he's just back home, his name is Champ," she said, keeping pace with Gaho.
"Arf!"
"Yea, he's an Alaskan Husky, white all over, with a patch of grey on one eye, on this tummy, and just a little bit on his tail," she said smiling, a picture of Champ popped into her head. She really missed him and hoped her nephews were taking good care of him.
"Arf!"
"You want to turn around now, we can head back home and clean up. You can stay at home, I'm going to finish my workout at YG, I haven't really sweated in over almost five months. I know for a fact that I'll be sore for the rest of the day after this. You and I can read together tonight. Okay," she asked, holding her thumps up.
"Arf, Arf, Arf,"
Gaho barked excitedly, Nita laughed. She must be going crazy, she just had a small conversation with a dog! She shook her head, she wasn't going crazy, she'd always talk to Champ just like this.
Before she knew it, she was running up the stairs to her room. The house was still quite, seeing that it was 6 in the morning and everyone's schedule didn't start today till ten o'clock this morning. She quickly jumped in the shower and rinsed of the sweat that she had acquired on her jog. She left the warm water running and picked up Gaho placing him in the warm water.
"GRRRRRRRRRR!!! GRRRRRR!!!!"
"Oh stop it," she assertively spoke, pointing her finger at the animal, "you need to wash of the sweat too, you were breathing pretty heavily on our jog."
Whining, Gaho looked up at her, "Oh no you don't. I'm not falling for that look. When was the last time, your master took you out for a run or at least a fast paced walk," Nita complained to Gaho, shaking her head. Again with the conversation, with a dog.
"I should be so lucky to have a woman in a towel give me a bath, Gaho," said a voice from behind her. Nita looked down at herself, she had forgotten she was still in a towel and what was Gaho going to do, pull her towel and attack her. She had to bite the urge to laugh. Gaho took the moment when Nita was distracted, he made a jump straight her, knocking her into Jiyong causing a domino effect. After toppling the both of them over he hopped to the floor and briskly shook himself.
"Hey!!" both of them yelled while covering their face to avoid the onslaught of suds. It took him about a minute to turn a clean bathroom into a sudsy mess. Nita looked down at herself to make sure her towel was still covering her, forgetting that she had fell on someone.
"Easy! Anymore wiggling and you're going to think I'm harassing you," Jiyong said grabbing her by the waist and lifting them both up effortlessly, Nita could hear the smile in his voice. She knew the smile he was sporting was a mischievous one.
Nita felt her body slowing starting a fire where his arms were still wrapped around her. She was acutely aware that his fingers were merely hovering on the end of her towel. All he had to do was tug and she would be completely exposed to him. The thought only ignited the small flame in her.
She shook her head to clear it. What the hell was she thinking?! "I . . . .um . . . . .I need to go get dressed," she said awkwardly while breaking away from his arms and the rest of his body.
Quickly making her escape back to her room, she went straight for her closet. She decided to do the rest of her work later tonight, but steeled herself to take care of her running and workout in the mornings. But today, she would finish it at night. She still slipped on her work sweats and loose fitting top, that dipped in the back, exposing her back and part of her tattoo. After making herself presentable, she grabbed the laptop that was given to her by Yang Sangnim.
This was the laptop that held everything regarding BigBang and their schedules. She knew her work was cut out for her, she had taken a sneak peek the night before. Their schedules were packed tighter than a can of sardines. There were days where they were scheduled to be in two places at once. She had figured out her strategy last night. She would break it down by the week. Since it was the middle of the week, she'd just have to tweak their schedules for this week. She'd promised herself, she'd get an early start on the next two weeks schedules as well.
An hour later, she stretched herself out, smiling with a satisfied look on her face. She knew she had the cat-got-the-cream look on her face. She had done the tweaking for two weeks and a couple of day in one hour. She knew she wasn't perfect, but in that moment she was.
"Hey, I'm sorry if I disturbed you, but I knocked and you didn't say anything," Seungri spoked in a quite tone, slowly easing the door open.
"No worries, I was just finishing up some work," Nita said looking at him, she extended her hand, "can I see your phone for a minute," he gave her his phone, it took a minute to hook the phone to the cable and that cable to the laptop. She quickly synced Seungri's schedule for the next couple of days to his phone in a matter of minutes. Handing him his phone back, she said, "your schedule for the next couple of days is now your phone."
"Oh, okay, I'll look over it. Hey, you hungry," he asked.
"Oh! Omo, I forgot I had already prepped something for breakfast," she said quickly pacing out of her room and down the stairs.
Seungri followed her into the kitchen, leaning into the kitchen island, he watched her pull things out of the fridge.
"What is all that," he asked.
"This morning when I woke up I was craving some cinnamon banana pancakes with warm honey and grapefruit juice. So I got the batter and juice ready this morning before going on my run. I used to make this when we'd had family gatherings. All the boys loved it," she finished, thinking about the numerous times her brothers would ask her for her famous pancakes.
"That sounds good, my mouth's watering," T.O.P said, he was making his way from the living room.
"You guys have a sit down, it won't take me long to whip this up," Nita said smiling, she enjoyed this. Cooking for others, to know that the food she made, made other's happy, it was just . . . . .a different kind of joy.
She quickly turned the center griller on and went about pulling out plates and utensils while it heated up. After sliding the plates and utensils to the two people sitting at the other end, she checked to see if the griller was ready. She could feel the heat coming off of it, and grabbed the bowl of batter. In one easy motion she had four round cakes cooking. While the cakes cooked, she grabbed the glass cup filled with honey and placed it in the microwave. She came back to the griller and flipped the cakes. The microwave immediately wanted her attention after that. She checked the glass before she reached in and pulled it out with a cloth wrapped around her already gloved hands. She let it sit for a bit to cool it down some. She made her way back to the griller. The pancakes were now golden brown on both sides. Just as both guys were getting up, she tossed the pancakes into the plates, perfectly nailing the landing.
"Something smells good," came a voice from the stairs. Nita looked up to see Youngbae walking towards the kitchen.
"Pancakes. American style. You hungry, T," she asked, Youngbae looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
"T? What's with that?" he asked taking a seat at the island.
"Your nickname from me," she said, getting started on another batch of cakes.
"So Youngbae or Taeyang doesn't work," he questioned.
"No, it's not that they don't work. T is just easier to say, I thought about using Y, but that would be to confusing. There might be a time when I'm not calling for you but asking a why question, or just wonder 'why?' out loud, that would be awkward so I picked T," she explained.
"So Youngbae is your favorite, you gave him a nickname, he has to be," Seungri said taking another serving of pancakes.
"We need more honey," T.O.P said, getting up and refilling the cup with more. As the conversation went on, he warmed it in the microwave and made his way back to his seat.
"Nope, that's not the case, you all have one," Nita said as she flipped more of the cakes and took a sip of her juice. That stopped all the chewing and drinking going on at the island.
"What's up with you guys," Daesung asked, looking at them questioningly, "that looks good, you have some more," he looked up at Nita, while eyeing T's plate. Before he could ask what it was, there was plate being placed in front of him.
T.O.P passed the honey down, and Daesung started eating, which brought back all the chewing and drinking for the others who had stopped.
"She has nicknames for us," Seungri said, taking a sip of juice.
"So let's hear them," T.O.P said pointing his fork at her.
"Let's hear what," asked Jiyong making his way to the kitchen as well, Nita didn't wait to be asked. She merely got another plate ready and placed it in front of Jiyong. After making sure everyone was eating, she made her plate.
"Our nicknames," Daesung said, between mouthfuls of pancakes.
Now all five were looking at her expectantly while eating. Starting from left to right she said, "D, V, TopCat, T, and G, I think they're self-explanatory," she finished.
"Why am I TopCat," T.O.P asked finishing the last of his grapefruit juice.
"Because you remind of one of my favorite cartoon characters, his name was Top Cat. I always found him to be sophisticated, and every time I look at you I think sophistication, even though in reality you’re a bit of a goof ball," she said starting to pick up all the dirty utensils and plates. When she looked up at him, he was blushing, which caused her to blush. Her inter fan girl was freaking out, she had made THE T.O.P OF BIG BANG blush!!!
"That's it now, we know for sure, T.O.P hyung is your favorite. He got a different nickname and he made you blush," V blurted out loud.
"Nope," was all she said, it was the truth, "the only reason I'm red in the face is because of the griller, it was still on," she lied.
Seungri pouted, "Why don't you just tell us, this guessing game is going to take forever," his whining continued while she gathered up everyone's plate.
"Here, I'll help," Daesung said taking some of the dishes filling her hands, "I still haven't received a call from my manager, did he call you," he asked putting the plates in the sink and turning on the faucet.
"Omo, I almost forgot," she said heading towards the stairs, "I'll be right back," she quickly made her way up the stairs and into her bedroom. She made a beeline towards her desk and grabbed the laptop and two different phone charger cords, and jogged back down to the kitchen.
"Take it easy, there's no rush," TopCat said, finishing wiping down the counter everyone had had breakfast at.
"I was supposed to bring this down with me, but completely forgot after I gave V his schedule," she said, opening up the laptop and logging in.
"I've only gotten the next couple days completely sorted out, but the week's almost out so I should have everything in order by the beginning of next week. One of you give me your phone," she said, one hand held out for a device, while the other hand was logging in and accessing the needed information, someone put their phone in her hand, "who's is this," she asked, not looking up, but plugging in the phone to the laptop.
"T.O.P's," T said, watching her multitasking it out.
It took her a minute to sync the new schedule and she handed the phone back to TopCat, who immediately started going over his schedule.
"Next," she said, holding out her hand again, "who's is this," she asked again.
"Daesung's," T answered.
Another couple of minutes later and she handed D's phone back to him, and held out her hand for another one. She didn't bother asking.
"That's mine," T said, still watching her.
She handed T's phone back to him, and held her hand out to G, who promptly placed his phone in her hand, his took the longest. Both fixing and syncing, not because the computer was slow or his phone was acting up, but because his schedule was the most hectic, there weren't enough hours in the day to work his schedule, but she had managed to get him a break in between his jobs. After his phone was done syncing his schedule she handed him his phone back too.
"Every Sunday, have your phone on the charging station I'll set up in the living room. I'll have the week's schedule for you every Sunday," she said, she had thought about the charging station while organizing the schedules in her room. Things would go a lot smoother if she had a set day and time, so that it didn’t interfere with everyone's day to day activity.
When she looked up after shutting down the laptop, they were all staring at her, "what," she asked.
"You only have the schedules set till this coming Sunday," G said looking down at his phone.
"Yea, that's the idea, the new schedules will be updated every Sunday," Nita said smiling, "some of the next week's schedule needs more tweaking, that's why I didn't update it yet. I've already sent an updated version of the schedule to all the managers and Yang Sangnim, I haven't received any calls, so I'm guessing everything will work out. But I'll call them a bit later to confirm that," she finished. She made her way to the living room and set her laptop down on the table in front of the TV.
By the time she had finish giving everyone their schedules, D and V had finished cleaning up the kitchen. Nita went and made sure she hadn't missed anything and smiled to herself.
"What's the smile all about," G asked smiling too.
"I feel so much better working. It's really refreshing and it feels like I accomplished something. Not to mention I'm starting to get back into my running and working out. It just feels good," she said looking at him.
"You work out," G asked with a spectacle look on his face.
"Boo Ya! What's with the look, I don't have this slammin' body because I laze around at home," she said jokingly while gesturing up and down her body.
G gave her a once over look from head to toe and a sly smile came onto his face, "Yes, I should've guessed. That incident this morning was entertaining," he said.
She knew she was instantly red in the face and the other's noticed it too.
"What happened this morning," D asked, his curiosity spiked.
"You saw her naked!!" V yelled excited, Nita had to bite back the laugh. That response was really something you would expect him to say.
TopCat's one eyebrow went up, "Chincha, did you," he asked G. G's smile went from sly to mischievous and Nita knew he was going to spin this into something that was going to be blown out of proportion.
"He did not see me naked!" Nita stated aggressively, "I was taking a quick shower after my run this morning, Gaho had tagged along, he was also stinky and sweaty. So to get him cleaned up, I put him in the shower after I was done, to clean him up. Before G came into the bathroom, Gaho was acting up, so I was scolding him. When G came into the bathroom and distracted me from giving Gaho a bath, Gaho made his escape, toppling me and G into each other. I was still covered," she said quickly, "don't go getting any ideas."
They looked to G for confirmation, his smile instantly disappeared, being replaced by a serious look, "yea, that's what happened," he said looking at her, a glint in his eyes. She had played right into it, the look in his eyes said it all.
"You guys need to get ready, you all have a photo shoot, and then your individual interviews with magazines and the like. I'm sure the van will be here to pick you guys up soon," she said, picking up the laptop and making her way to her room. She was done with all the being embrassed.

Later That Evening

Nita was done for the day, literally, figuratively, and any other -ly one could think of. She'd spent most of her time going over the individual schedules, it took her a while to sort through everything. But she had managed to organize the schedules for the rest of the month. She didn't brag, but she knew once she was focused she could move mountains.
After that she decided to just go take a shower and forgo dinner tonight. The other's had had a busy day since they'd left in the morning, she'd called them to see if they wanted to eat at home, and found out that they'd already had dinner and would be coming home a little late. She didn't like eating alone, even when she lived in the states if she was alone she'd have her security detail eat with her. Loneliness didn't suit her. So after her shower she grabbed her favorite Black Dagger Brotherhood book and made her way down stairs to the living room. The lighting was better for reading. Gaho was her shadow now, the animal even followed her into the bathroom, and waited for her getting comfy in front of the vanity. He was even a gentle-dog, turning around when she dried herself with the towel, she had to give him credit for that, even Champ, her dog, didn't do that.
"Come on buddy, we're going to do some reading. This is my favorite, the tattoo I have was a thought I got from this book," she said showing Gaho the cover.
"Arf, Arf!!"
She patted her lap, and Gaho made a jump for it, nearly knocking the book out of her hands. The two got comfortable as she began to read, getting into chapter six she slowly drifted off to sleep.

G-Dragon's POV

"GRRRRRRRRRR!!! GRRRRRR!!!!"
Jiyong woke up to a whole lot of growling. Wondering why Gaho was being moody he tossed a pillow in the direction of Gaho's bed.
"Oh stop it, you need to wash off the sweat too, you were breathing pretty heavily on our jog," the female voice made him bolt upright. Wasn't Gaho a guy? He asked himself.
Actually waking up, he realized the voice was coming from the bathroom. He started stretching out the kinks in this body, while eavesdropping on the conversation in the bathroom.
"Oh no you don't," Jiyong got up and made his way to the bathroom, "I'm not falling for that look," he could imagine what kind of adorable puppy dog face Gaho was pulling, even though he wasn't a puppy anymore. He could get anything with that look, from anyone.
"When was the last time, your master took you out for a run or at least a fast paced walk," she added. Jiyong could see her now.
Nita was soaping up her hands and washing Gaho from head to toe, he didn't think she realize that a part of her towel was exposing her fine toned leg and thigh. Jiyong's eyes slowly caressed her legs, his mind started forming a scene on its own.
Him grabbing her and pulling her to him, immediate kissing her and wrapping his hands around her waist. Lifting her to him, while she wrapped those nicely toned legs around him. His hands, finding the edges of that towel, it just needed a little tug, and that towel would be in a pile on the smooth tile floor of that bathroom. Taming his thoughts he decided to let his presence be known, "I should be so lucky to have a woman in a towel give me a bath, Gaho," her hand immediately went to her chest. He was sure that she was making sure she was still covered, but again Jiyong's eyes were more interested in the little bit that he was seeing.
He tried to shake his train of thought, just the night before he wasn't sure if he trusted her, now he was lusting after her. But looking at her now, a bit closely, there was something familiar about her, like he'd met her somewhere else. With him being distracted by his own thoughts, he didn't notice Gaho making a jump for freedom, bouncing off of Nita and on to the floor. Gaho wasn't a puppy any longer and his strength was improving, his jump to Nita caused her to land on him. With Jiyong taking the brunt of the fall and being sandwiched between the floor and Nita, was a bit painful. The fact that Gaho chose that moment to shake of all the excess soap and water, was the icing on the damn cake.
"Hey!!" they both yelled, Jiyong tried his best to save his face from being covered in suds. The pain from the fall didn't last long because before he could say or do anything, Nita was wiggling this way and that.
Jiyong liked the feeling. It was inappropriate considering the circumstance, but Little Jiyong was becoming very happy with the new movement. Considering his thought process a bit earlier, her movement didn't help with the control.
"Easy! Anymore wiggling and you're going to think I'm harassing you," Jiyong said, which really wasn't far off the mark. He didn't think she knew what kind of reaction he had to her. He didn't even know why, he'd just met her. She immediately stopped moving. Thank God, he thought.
He wrapped one arm around her waist pulling her closer to his body, bad idea, he thought, because that only heightened things more. He used his other arm to lift the two of them off of the floor. He didn't want to let go yet, she felt good against him. She immediately pulled away from him, "I . . . .um . . . . .I need to go get dressed," she stuttered and practically ran out of the bathroom. Jiyong looked over the rest of the bathroom, which was now a mess thanks to Gaho. He made his way to his sink and cleaned it up as best he could, so he could brush his teeth and get ready for the day.
After taking care of the teeth, he went to his closet trying to find something to put on, that looked halfway decent. He checked his phone for any messages from the managers, but didn't see any. It was still early in the morning, so he hoped things started a bit later today.
An hour later, after a full shower and a prevention plan for blue balls, he was making his way down the stairs. Hearing voices he saw all the guys and Nita sitting and talking.
"So let's hear them," T.O.P said poking his fork in her direction. What was going on, he thought.
"Let's hear what," he asked, joining the conversation, before he knew it, there was a plate of American style pancakes and a glass of some kind of juice in front of him. She began making her own plate. Had she not been eating till now, he wondered.
"Our nicknames," Daesung muffled out. She had nicknames for them, he looked at her waiting for her to say something.
Pointing at each person, she said, "D, V, TopCat, T, and G, I think they're self-explanatory."
G? Why was he G while T.O.P was TopCat? Seemed like T.O.P was wondering the same thing.
"Why am I TopCat," he asked, drinking some juice.
She didn't waste any time thinking about it, "Because you remind me of one of my favorite cartoon characters, his name was Top Cat. I always found him to be sophisticated, and every time I look at you I think sophistication, even though in reality you're a bit of a goof ball," she said playfully smiling and picking up the dirty plates. Jiyong looked over at Seunghyun and noticed the red creeping up his neck. He was blushing. He had to put some effort into holding in his laughter. He looked at Nita, she was also blushing, while looking at Seunghyun! Was she his fan?!?!
Seungri became the voice from his head now, "That's it, now we know for sure, T.O.P hyung is your favorite. He got a different nickname and he made you blush," he stated.
"Nope," she said, "the only reason I'm red in the face is because of the griller," she turned the knob to turn it off, "it was still on," she finished with a smile. Jiyong had mixed feelings about that. He was happy he had a nickname from her, but wasn't happy about the fact that she blushed after he looked at her. She never did that with him or the others. But you never really looked her in the eye, right, said the voice in his head.
"Why don't you just tell us, this guessing game is going to take forever," Seungri was trying to act cute, Nita just ignored his face, and went around cleaning up. Jiyong resisted another laugh.
Daesung got up and went to Nita, "Here, I'll help," he said taking some of the dishes out of her hands, "I still haven't received a call from my manager, did he call you," he was putting the dishes in the sink now and starting the water.
Nita's eye got wide, while her mouth made an 'O', which immediate flipped Jiyong's thoughts. He saw her on her knees as he guided himself into her mouth, sliding in and out, "Omo, I almost forgot," she said quickly as she ran up the stairs. And thank god for that, because he really had to calm the fuck down. What the hell was wrong with him? Little Jiyong was getting on the train for which he had yet to buy a ticket for. He had to refocus his mind, so he began helping with the cleanup.
Daesung was rinsing the dishes and they needed to be put in the dishwasher. Jiyong decided he'd do that. Before he knew it the kitchen was almost clean and Nita was making her was back down stairs. It seemed like she was in a rush, she nearly tripped over all the wires she was running with.
"Take it easy, there's no rush," Seunghyun said, making is way around the table wiping his way around.
"I was supposed to bring this down with me, but completely forgot after I gave V his schedule," she was flipping the laptop open and taking care of business, "I've only gotten the next couple days completely sorted out, but the week's almost out so I should have everything in order by the beginning of next week. One of you, give me your phone," she demanded, with one hand held out in front of her, while the other hand quite effortless flowed over the key board of the laptop, Jiyong was surprised at the one handed typing.
"Who's is this," she asked without looking up.
"T.O.P's" Youngbae answered, a bit hesitantly. Jiyong didn't blame him, it was almost as if she was a different person, completely calm and focused, it was a completely different side of her.
"Next," she was holding out her hand again, Daesung gave her his phone, "who's is this," she asked again.
"Daesung's" Youngbae answered, this time more confidently.
A couple of minutes and her hand was out again for another phone, "That's mine," Youngbae handed her his phone. That ended fairly quickly, and then her hand was hoovering in front of him, her eye completely focused on the screen of the computer, as she typed something else into the computer. Jiyong didn't waste any time, he placed his phone in her hand and watched her go to work. She plugged in his phone and with a couple of clicks on the mouse and a couple key strokes later, his phone was loading his schedule. It took longer than he thought it would, it seemed as if the others' uploading didn't take as long. She handed him his phone back and be began looking at the day's schedule. It seemed as if this would be like any other work day for him. Except it started a bit later, that hadn't happened in while.
"Every Sunday, have your phone on the charging station, I'll set up in the living room. I'll have the week's schedule for you every Sunday," speaking in dictator mode, sounding like that rule was law and if no one followed it heads would roll.
Jiyong was staring at her, he knew he was. "What," she asked. He quickly glanced at his phone and back at her, hopefully it looked like a smooth transition, "You only have the schedules set till this coming Sunday," he looked at his phone again, just to give her the idea that he was concerned about his schedule and nothing else.
"Yea, that's the idea, the new schedules will be updated every Sunday, some of the next week's schedule needs more tweaking, that why I didn't update it yet. I've already sent an updated version of the schedule to all the managers and Yang Sangnim, I haven't received any calls, so I'm guessing everything will work out. But I'll call them a bit later to confirm that," she said while making her way around the kitchen. After a satisfied nod she smiled.
Jiyong couldn't help but smile at her smiling, it really was contagious, "What's the smile all about," he asked her.
Still smiling she said, "I feel so much better working. It's really refreshing and it feels like I accomplished something. Not to mention, I'm starting to get back into my running and working out. It just feels good."
So, she worked out, huh, Jiyong had a hard time believing that, "You work out," he asked.
"Boo, Ya! What's with the look, I don't have this slammin' body because I laze around at home," she said laughing and waving her hands up and down her body. Jiyong took full advantage of the situation, checking her out. She did look good, his mind went back to the feel of her against him, in the bathroom, "Yes, I should've guessed. That incident this morning was entertaining," he figured this would be entertaining as well, he had no ulterior motive other than to see what she would say next. He knew the guys would wonder what happened and start asking questions. He wanted to see what Nita would do. One look in her direction and he could see the red creeping up her face, and he knew so did the others.
Que first question, "What happened this morning," asked Daesung.
"You saw her naked!!" Seungri yelled. Figures, Jiyong thought, Seungri never failed in the predictability department.
T.O.P was looking at him questioningly now too. Jiyong was in full mischief mode, "Chincha, did you," T.O.P asked him.
Nita didn't give him a chance to answer, "He did not see me naked!" she said assertively, ""I was taking a quick shower after my run this morning, Gaho had tagged along, he was also stinky and sweaty. I was still covered, don't go getting any ideas."
Well, she didn't disappoint. He got a chance to see her get all riled up, it was mildly entertaining. Jiyong's smile widened a just a little bit, and then he decided to it was enough, "yea, that's what happened," he said looking straight at her, and knowing that this was just the beginning for him.
"You guys need to get ready, you all have a photo shoot and then your individual interviews with magazines and the like. I'm sure the van will be here to pick you guys up soon," she was picking up her laptop and leaving.
Jiyong figured this was enough for the day, he too headed up stairs, he had forgotten his extra charger and wallet.
Later That Evening
After two group photo sessions and four interviews, Jiyong was exhausted. They were all on their way back to the house, and the only thing he wanted to do was crawl into bed and just sleep.
"Did Nita call any of you guys, I have a missed call from her," Daesung said looking at his phone.
Jiyong pulled out his phone to check. She'd called him too.
"Neh, she did. She wanted to know if we'd be coming home to eat or not," T.O.P answered.
"She called to ask if we'd had dinner or not," Youngbae asked in a surprised tone.
"She was being thoughtful, Youngbae Hyung, you shouldn't be surprised," Seungri said defensively.
Well, Seungri liked her.
"He's right, she was worried that she'd forgotten to schedule time for dinner," T.O.P added.
That makes two people that liked her now.
"She even texted me, telling me not to worry about the missed call," Daesung said, showing the lit screen, "I think she's mildly mothering us," he was smiling now, "it feels nice."
Make that three.
"Omo, she called me too, twice," Youngbae said, "and texted me . . ." he was sliding his thumb down the screen, "telling me to make sure we all eat something good and not ramen," he finished smiling too, "no kidding, she sounds like a mom, it kind of does feel good," Youngbae was now sporting a full all teeth and eye smile.
And that would now make four.
Jiyong checked his phone again. She'd called T.O.P and texted the other's and he only got one missed call from her! You'd think he'd be the first person she would call or text or both! He was hurt, by that. Jiyong was always truthful to himself, he could see that Nita was growing on him, far more quicker than she was growing on the others. But, he still couldn't figure out why.
The van came to a halt and Jiyong looked out the tinted window. In the darkness of the window, he could only see an outline of the house. He yawned, he was tried. No point in wasting any time getting to bed.
As he entered the house, the lights in the living room were still on. He made his way to the area to turn off the lights and noticed Nita on the couch. He laughed at the sight before him and realized that they were still sleeping. Nita was sprawled on her back, Gaho lying on his stomach on top of her, cuddling his nose into her neck. His dog was getting more action than he was at the moment. And both of their faces were covered by an open book. Jiyong walked up to them quietly and picked up the book and set it on the table. One arm was wrapped around Gaho's neck while the other was laid out next to her head. Her sleeping face didn't look at peace, she seemed like she was worried about something even in her sleep. Instinctively, his hands caressed her cheek, his fingers traced the contours of her face. She had full eye lashes, soft skin, and chubby cheeks. He gave them a little pinch, she was really cute. She was wearing a pastel pink night shirt that went down to her mid-thigh. That's when he noticed her tattoo. She had a dragon tattoo, the tail end of it starting at her ankle and wrapping itself around her leg, he could only see up her mid-thigh, where the dragon made his or her, for all he knew, way up her inner thigh. Jiyong went to her leg for a closer look at it, from far way, the tattoo looked like it had texture, which said a lot about the person who put it on her. He was surprised when he ran his figure up the tattoo from her ankle to her knee. On the back of her leg, he actually felt the texture, "Omo!", he hadn't expected that.
"What is it?" T.O.P asked walking towards him.
"Nothing . . . . ." he said quickly, hoping that no one saw what he was doing. It made him sound like a pervert for thinking that, but he really wasn't doing anything inappropriate to her, he was just checking out her tattoo.
"Here, take your dog," T.O.P said, handing Gaho to Jiyong, and taking off is coat. He covered her with it, creating a make-shift blanket, "and I'll take her to her room, she shouldn't sleep on the sofa like that," and he effortlessly picked her up and headed towards the stairs.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
T.O.P stopped at hearing the sound and everyone's gaze rested on Nita's sleeping form.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
*Knock knock knock*
Who would be coming this late, Jiyong thought. Youngbae went to answer the door.
"Joesonghabnida, I wasn't sure if Nita was still up or not," Donghae said at the door, bowing and holding a bag of food.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Well, apparently her stomach wanted attention, but her mind was saying 'lights out.' Donghae noticed T.O.P carrying her and immediately made his way through the door to him, "Here, I'll take her up, she probably fell asleep while reading, right?" He asked looking at T.O.P.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
"And from the sounds out it, she hasn't eaten anything either," smiling at Nita's sleeping form, he too effortlessly takes her from T.O.P and heads up the stairs without saying another word. So much for taking her, apparently she had a line of guys willing to carry her.
"What was that about," Youngbae asked looking at no one in particular.
"You don't think she waited for us to have dinner and then didn't because we already ate, do you," Daesung asked looking at Youngbae.
"Aniya," Seungri said, but still had a guilt ridden look on his face. Jiyong looked at the others and found similar expressions. What kind of person would
wait for others to eat and then not eat anything when they found out the others already ate? Hearing footsteps coming down the stairs, Jiyong could see Donghae coming down the stairs with a hint of a smile on his face. What the hell was he smiling about?
"She's sleeping, I'm sorry to come at such a late hour, but I wasn't sure if she had dinner or not, so after I finished the job I was at, I figured she and I could have dinner together," he said making his way back to the door, "anyways, I guess I'll be having dinner on my own tonight, Goodnight," he was about to walk out the door,
"Jamkkan," Seungri stopped him, "you knew she hadn't eaten anything," he asked.
"Ani, it's not like she called me or anything. I just remember her telling me that she'd be at home for the next couple of night, because your individual schedules were packed. When she was staying close to us, there was always someone there to give her company for dinner. She doesn't like eating alone," Donghae's gaze went up the stairs.
"Why don't you come in and sit, I want to know more," T.O.P stated frankly.
Donghae set the bag of food by the door again, "Go ahead and eat here, we can still talk," T.O.P said heading towards the kitchen and pulling a plate and utensils.
"Thanks," Donghae said while unpacking the food, "if you guys want some, please, take some, there's plenty. There's no way, I'm going to finish all this," he gestured towards the food, but didn't say anything else.
"So, you said she doesn't like eating alone, how did you know that," Jiyong asked, he knew the question's answer was obvious. Nita had stayed with them for some time, before she got her job with YG. What Jiyong really wanted to know was if she'd told them herself or if they'd had the same experience as them.
"She told us, and in a way, we found out. We had all been busy with work so we decided to all eat out. Nita had called Siwon, me, and some of the others, but we didn't notice her missed calls until we were headed home. We tried calling her back, but she wasn't picking up the phone, which made us all start to worry. The minute we were in front of the apartment building we went straight to her place. It was a good thing, Siwon and I had an extra set of keys and knew the passcode. We found her passed out on the couch with a book over her face. When Siwon went to go pick her up to go put her in bed, her stomach growled. Needless to say, we all felt guilty for not asking her if she had eaten anything, when she had called us. The next morning we were all feeling bad about it and she noticed. She asked us what happened and we told her. She started laughing at us," Donghae was lightly shaking his head, "she explained to us that she didn't like eating alone, and that it wasn't our fault that she didn't eat. So there was no reason for us to feel bad, but that didn't change the fact that we still did feel bad. After that, we always managed to have someone there with her."
By the time he finished his story, he was done with his dinner too. But Jiyong felt like there was still more to the story.
"Did she ever explain why she didn't like eating alone," Youngbae asked, voicing Jiyong's thoughts.
"Her parents were always out on business trips and often took her younger brothers with them, so she would always have to eat by herself. As she grew up, she would force the people that worked for parents to eat with her. She says, that eating with people is what sets the foundation for a family. Ever since then we always tried to eat together, but since she's moved we haven't had a good meal together," Donghae sadly smiles, "All I'm saying is while she was there we became a bit closer as a band and a family."
Yep, that just added to the guilt they were all feeling.
"Did she call and text you guys often," Daesung asked.
"Yea, all the time. Especially when she knew we were overseas or on a long trip, she'd go as far as to text us or call us when we were up and working. She'd text or call asking if we were eating right, if we were feeling okay, and then if someone hadn't replied to her text or answered her call, she'd start interrogating us about the one person who hadn't yet spoken to her," Donghae was smiling and looked as if he wasn't there in the kitchen, but back in his memory.
"So she mothered you guys," Youngbae asked.
"You could say that. Her heart was in the right place. Siwon would constantly tell us that she hasn't had it easy, but we never believed him till she talked about her tattoo," Donghae's smile quickly became a thin line.
"What's wrong with her tattoo," Jiyong asked, his curiosity spiked.
"I'm sure, you've all seen her tattoo, right," he asked looking around the kitchen. Jiyong and the other's nodded.
"You probably have also seen that the texture on the tattoo looks so realistic," Donghae stated rather than asked, again they all nodded.
"When you feel her skin, you'll feel that the back of the tattoo actually feels like the front of it looks. The tattoo is there to cover up the scars from an accident years ago. She never told us the whole story, but she got the scar saving her kid brother from a fire," Donghae said, his face now sporting a sad smile.
"She was kicked out of her house, because her family didn't approve of her relationship. She left the country she was born and raised in and has started a new life in a new place. You'd think that the guy she was with would have helped her out, but she never told him she was kicked out or that she was leaving. She was married too," he said, which came as a surprise to Jiyong, and when he looked at the others, they were too.
"What," Seungri, Youngbae and Daesung asked at the same time.
"I'm afraid that's something you'll have to ask her, she didn't talk about that, and we respected her boundaries," Donghae stood up, "I think I'll take my leave now, it's late and you all look like you're ready to pass out too. Goodnight," he made his way to the door and left.
Jiyong couldn't believe his ears. Nita had been married, she'd had an affair, was scared from a hero accident, and had been starting a new life here. Apparently there was more to be discovered about Nita.
