Nita's POV

Nita was in the kitchen wiping the counters when she heard the door open, she didn't turn around to see, because only two people had a key to the apartment. She grabbed the can of oven cleaner and began spraying the glass stovetop. I couple of days back, while making chai, she let the pot get to hot and the hot milk had boiled over on the stovetop, now she was on the task of making it look like new again.
"It's me!" Donghae yelled walking in, "I've brought the extra things you needed from upstairs, you sure that was everything?" he was talking about ingredients she was missing, that they had in the upstairs apartment.
"I'll double check as soon as I'm done here, this stove looks like a burnt cookie," she said while scrubbing off the dried black gunk.
"Siwon had some of your mail, they still sometimes give anything addressed here to the upstairs apartment," Donghae made his way into the kitchen, all the while setting the mail on the bar counter.
"Done!", Nita yelled, slightly out of breath, the scrubbing was like a mini workout, she grabbed a rag and wiped the stove a number of time to see the finishing results of her hard work, "And it looks beautiful!" she said with a smile.
Donghae turned around and looked at the stove, typical guy reaction, he shrugged his shoulders and turned back around to unpack the things he had brought.
Nita made her way to the small stack of mail and grabbed the first one off the top, without really looking at what she was opening, she was paying attention to what Donghae was pulling out of the bag. The plan for tonight was dinner with all of Super Junior, she had decided to make enchiladas for the guys, when she realized she was running low on some ingredients. She had ended up calling the upstairs apartment and getting the hear Mr. Jerk's voice, apparently he was at home relaxing, she told Donghae what she needed and he had brought it down. She had gotten the paper out of the envelope and was unfolding it when one of the cans of tomato sauce was about to roll of the counter and on to Donghae's foot, the guy was wearing Nike slip-ons, "Watch out!" she dropped the paper and went to grab the can before it went off the counter, lucky for her reflexes, "Got you!" she said to the can, "Lucky for my sharp reflexes otherwise, Mr. Donghae, your big toe would not have survived," she was smirking, she knew it, but she didn't care, she knew what it felt like to have a can of something land on your toe, it hurt, she was glad she could save one of her favorite idols from potential disaster. Imagine all the heartbroken fan girls crying over Donghae's swollen big toe.
"Thank you, my dearest and grandest savior!" Donghae said laughing and bowing, Nita joined in his laughter.
"I'm not doing anything else for the rest of the day, you need help?" he asked looking at her with puppy dog eyes.
Nita was transfixed by his gaze for a moment, she couldn't stop herself from staring, a clearing of a throat broke the trance.
Nita turned her head to Mr. Jerk standing by the counter, "Well aren't you to busy staring at each other, you should really learn how to lock that door," he was bending down to pick something up, "What's this?" he opens up the folded piece of paper.
Nita started to explain herself, but was interrupted, "I was checking mail before I saw . . ."
"Oh I don't care, what you were doing, but it looks like you betraying your only friends," he said, holding up the front of the letter.
Nita and Donghae looked at each other than at the letter being held up and back, Nita ran and snatched the letter and began reading it.
It didn't take long for her to read the letter, but it took a minute for her brain to comprehend what was in the letter. As she stared out into space, while the gears in her brain turned slowly, Donghae took the letter out of her hand.
"They're hiring you." Donghae said, clearly sounding surprised, if the letter gave him a surprise, her mind was registering shock at the moment.
"Why didn't she try SM Entertainment? You'd think if she was a fan that's the first place she would try," Mr. Jerk-off said.
Donghae didn't waste any time clarify his misunderstanding, "She did, they sent her a rejection letter already, SM was the first place she applied at, but not the only."
Nita was still staring out into space, both Jerk-off and Donghae looked at her, "are you okay?" Donghae asked.
"Is she BREATHING?" Mr. Jerk-off asked.
Donghae put his finger under her nose to check, "Neh, she is.. . . Nita? Nita? Are you okay?"
Donghae started shaking her a little bit, "That's from YG Entertainment, right? I didn't read that wrong, right? They're hiring me, right? And I have a meeting with the Yang Sangnim two days from today, right?" she asked all at once.
She was still having some difficultly making sense of this.
"Ya, this is great, you got the job!" Donghae said shaking her.
Nita was happy that she got the job, but with that happiness came a lot of doubtful questions. Would she be able to do the job given to her? Will she get along with everyone there? Would they like her? Would her past be a problem? Would being friends with employees of SM Entertainment be a problem? Would she have to move? So many things came into question, it looked like she would be getting the answers two days from now.
