NEXT MORNING

"Unnie!"

Uee heard Remi calling her out, more like shouting at her, ruthlessly. She rubbed her eyes and yawned while getting up, then again diving back into the bed.

"Your boss..." Remi just said lazily but that got Uee's blood boiling and she got up, grabbed the cell phone from Remi's hand and started apologizing to him. Remi left the room back to the kitchen making breakfast.

"Its all because of you!" Uee followed her and entered after she did.

"Come sit. Breakfast's ready." Remi smiled.

"Yeah yeah...." Uee took her seat and started munching.

"Why was he so angry? Don't tell me you are dating him." Remi shooted a brow.

Uee choked. "REMI!!! Your mind is all dirty." She grasped the water glass and drank it.

"Was just asking..." She rolled her eyes.

"You know.... the pub's always so crowded..."

"Ok...." Remi took a bite. "Unnie... did he call?"

"He?" Uee smirked.

"Ummm.... Lay." The moment she uttered the word, a stingy pain knocked at her heart. "Ok,
may be he didn't."

"I think you've lost your senses. I was sleeping like a drunk all the night. But I'll tell if he calls." She winked at Remi.

"Don't." She stood up. "I am getting late."

"Remi..." Uee called.

"Tell me?"

"He is more resolute than you think. Lay, I mean."

"Huh?"

"Weren't you getting late?"

"Han.... oh yes. Ok bye." She waved and then left.

The door bell rang and Uee ran towards the door. "Lay." She exclaimed and gave him a squeezy hug. "I am glad you are here."

"Yeah..." He faked a smile.

Uee couldn't read his dull expression. "Come here." Uee pulled him towards the sofa and made him sit.

"Don't act like I am visiting after a long time. You know I wasn't gone forever. So..."

"So?" Uee's eyes sparkled.

"What did she say?" He lifted a brow, whole body out of the comfort zone. He was expecting the unexpected when he shouldn't.

"She asked whether you called or not?" Uee shrugged her shoulders and pouted.

"Should I get my hopes high?" His facial muscles tensed up.

"Yes." Uee nodded and smirked. "But... I think you should get to know her better."

"I am ready. I've decided to meet that guy she likes."

"She used to.... and love. Remi is really emotional kind of girl. You know that, right?"

"Hm."

"I once asked her about what views she had about... sex."

"She must have said something unacceptable." He sighed.

"Lay... you know she can't think normal about it. She has been ra-"

"Just tell me what she said." He didn't want to even hear it again, about why Remi hates almost eveything. He was afraid, really afraid to even hear out her whole background.

"She said she would hate sex between bodies."

"I expected that." He huffed.

"But sex between eyes is fine."

"Eyes?" He squinted his eyes. "I can't even imagine it."

Uee laughed hysterically. "You are really a fool. She meant she wants love."

"Its becoming more complicated." He ran his fingers through his hair and exhaled. "Sometimes I just..." He rubbed his forehead.

"Should I call her to tell you are here?"

"Do tell her but not the details."

5:45pm

Remi carefully unlocked the door and stepped inside the lounge. She saw Lay's back towards her. He was randomly switching between channels through remote control while roaming.
"Lay...." She muttered so feebly that he couldn't hear, so she repeated.

He abruptly turned back and her slight smile shocked his insides, excited him as well. He smiled as a reply.

"Welcome back." She smiled again. "I will just shift my things back to unnie's room."

"No..." He stepped forward. "I didn't know there was a small store room here. I'll just stay there."

"There's no need. If you are staying here for more than a month.... you should have a proper room. Besides, I am more used ... to that room." She pointed at Uee's room.

"Remi... you don't sound like you." He stepped forward. He knew she was pulling off a fake act to behave properly to the situation.

"I am trying." She smiled again feebly, grabbing the strap of her bag.

"You're not happy?" He asked, hands feeling a strong pull towards her body.

"Um... lets just act like good friends, otherwise we won't be able to bear each other... like for another whole month." She rolled her eyes.

"Huh...." He smirked. "Each other? Or just you won't bear me?"

"Think clearly. You won't bear me too."

"Remi... don't get me wrong. I missed my flight and Kris insisted to stay."

"Hm." She nodded while staring elsewhere. How could she believe it was not planned but a coincidence!

"Just behave normal." He insisted.

"Get lost." She had a ruthless look in her eyes while she said that. "Wait... I am leaving." She altered her attitude again. "I can buy if you need anything."

"All I need is you." He muttered.

"Bye." Before she could leave, he grabbed her arm and pulled her closer. "Not that game again, Lay."

"I told Uee once, I wont hurt any of you two. I wont touch you... unless you---"

She pulled back her arm. "Tha-nks." She stuttered and hated herself for the deep pain she felt when he said that. "Bye." She stared at his lips and a sudden urge to kiss him arose. Before she could fall prey to her own desires, she left out while Lay closed the front door. She sighed out loudly, tensed at the severity of the situation. When did she want him to caresse her? When did this happen? She slumped down on the porch and hugged her knees.

Lay saw her from the window pane but didn't leave to hug her and hold her. But Uee had already forbade him to touch her. According to her research, girls crave for affection once you stop giving it to them. And it seemed a bit true in this case. But for Lay, the wait was always killing.

Next day,
"Hi...." Remi slightly opened the door to the office and a guy gestured her to come in. She excitedly came in and took a seat. The guy was busy in a office work, typing some important document. "Ummm... Hongjae?"

"Um?" He replied without looking at her.

She hesitated. "uh... I know you asked me not to see you anymore."

"So....??"

"I was missing you, so..." She shyly tuck her hair strand behind her ear.

That's when the guy stared up to look at her. She mustered up all courage to look at him and she did. The guy kept staring at her.

"Are you mad at me now?" She made a really innocent look.

He remained silent and after a pause shook his head, focusing back on work.

"So, how is your girlfriend doing?" She asked humbly.

"We broke up."

This sentence which could have meant the world to her, but couldn't heaten her up. How could it not matter to her? But it didn't matter anymore.

"So, are you dating now?" He asked, this time looking into her eyes, so that she couldn't lie.

"Uh.... umm... well no."

A smile crept over his wrinkled lips. "I thought..." He kept on staring at her. "You've changed. And its something..."

"Something?" She wanted an answer.

"I can't put it into words. Are you blushing?"

"Ahaha... its because I always hesitate when I talk to you."

"I feel like the most idiot person." Still staring at her.

"Hongjae, you know I was attracted to you because you were the smartest person I've ever met. Don't ever call yourself an idiot."

"Hmph." He smirked. "I cant concentrate." He tried to get back to work. "Some good friend of me told me that I was an idiot to lose you." He was blushing too. "Remi," He sneaked a peek from his peripheral vision. "I don't smoke now."

Dying of the mixture if feelings, she couldnt bring words to her tongue.

"Lets... go out tomorrow. I've missed a good friend too." He smiled at her.

A girl knocked at the door. "Remi... get back to work. We need you, hurry up."

With shivering hands, she shook hands with him.

"I'll call you."

"Have a nice day." Remi stood up.

"You too."

Ok, so another chap done.....
This Hongjae guy is that ugly guy Remi had a crush on.... and dont worry... he wont have much part in the story.
I think half of the story is remaining.... I hope you guys wont kill me for writing a horrible end..... I apologize.
