Gratefulness~ pt.1

I’m sitting at the school’s library and talking with my friends. Beside me is sitting Riia, one of my best friends, and Aada. Also the boys, Hannes, Jare and Tomi, are hanging with us.

Riia is very much like me: she has a good sense of humor and she is spontanious and knows what is fashionable right now. She holds also a fashion blog like I do. Her blog is although more popular than mine because she has been writing about her life and style for over a couple of years now whereas I have just started mine a year ago.
Aada, in turn, is very calm and down-to-earth, likes pink and is interested in painting and biology.
Hannes is a blond, quite smart looking, young man who wants to become a doctor one day.
Jare is very cool and easygoing musician guy.
And then there’s Tomi who attended in high school for just one reason — her mother made him to. That pretty much sums it up.

"They have lot of lotus flowers in Japan. It would be so wonderful if you could have those in a little pond in the backyard, you know? It is really like a must-have in a dream house!" Aada says after her biology class. Riia nods.
“Sounds nice. I would like to have a really stylish big wooden detached house which would have a big and beautiful garden where the kids can play”, she says.
“Talking about Asia… I should maybe tell you something”, I start talking.
“Ah, what? Tell us what?” girls are being impatient.
“Well, that I’m leaving for China after a couple of weeks”, I say like it wasn’t a big deal. Girls get confused and boys are looking at each others.
“Why the hell are you going there?” Tomi askes and plays with his phone in his hands.
“I won a trip”, I explain briefly because I don’t want to mention Big Bang to them. They wouldn’t understand. Not that I would care about what they think about kpop but I just don’t feel like listening to any more mockery.
“Wow! Where can you win trips like that?” Riia is being curious.
“I can’t remember. One day I just took part in several competitions in some web pages and today I recieved the information that I will get to fly in the first class and that I’ll be staying in a five star hotel!”
Tomi looks envious. “Damn, I’m so jealous of you! I have been only in Estonian cruise”, he says and I laugh.
“I have been in Africa since my uncle is an archeologist and he asked our family to visit him when he turned fifty”, Aada starts telling and talk about trips and vacations goes on. I listen to them trough my own little cloud of happiness…

I lay on my bed and make a list of things I need to remember to take with me. It’s good to start early so that I can add more things to the list when they come to my mind. I take a snapchat of my list and write: “I can’t wait!”
Money, a chrager, books, magazines, lots of clothes that I can change…
"Oh yeah the fellow traveller!" I flinch. I must contact Sara. I find her phone number and I decide to be brave and call her. It’s already 5 pm so I believe that she has also got home from school. The phone honks and honks and honks…

Eventually she answers with a sleepy voice: “Mmh… Who is it?”
“Minea. Were you sleeping?” I ask.
“Oh, hello! Yeah. I have not been feeling great lately so I really don’t do anything but sleep all the time”, Sara replies low-spirited and I can hear her voice cracking.
“Oh, that’s a pity. Have you catch a cold or what?” I wonder.
“No, I don’t know. The doctors haven’t figured it out yet. I just feel very sleepy and lazy all the time.”
I get a little anxious. “Okay. Well, hopefully, it’s not anything serious.”
“Yep. But how is it going with you? We haven’t talked or seen for a long time. Why did you call?” Sara asks.
“Well”, I start talking and I don’t know if I should tell or not. I decide to not to tell her about the second ticket since she’s so sick that she couldn’t propably come with me. “I won a trip and guess where!”
“Yeah?” she yawns.
“To Hong Kong to Big Bang’s concert! I tought that I’d like to tell you because we always used to listen to them and no one else knows anything about Big Bang. I was thinking that if I can manage to get the signatures, should I get for you too? Or do you want the light stick or something?” I tell her enthusiastically.

Sara’s voice changes and I can hear the excitement from her voice:
“No way! I envy you so much! Well, hopefully, it’s gonna be a good trip. When are you going?” she asks and I tell her the date and that I’m staying with the same hotel as the members.
“Oh my! That’s so cool! Are you going alone?” Sara gets curious.
“I guess so”, I answer vaguely. Who could I ask with me now? Or should I really go alone? I have that helping hand Cecily if I get in a trouble and since I’m all grown up now, why not?
“Ooh, okay. Well, take good care of yourself! How long does the flight take?” Sara asks.
“Yeah, well, it takes really almost 24 hours”, I tell her. “But at least I’m in the first class and I have a lot of exciting stuff to do and see there.”
“Oh wow! I really can’t take it! You have to send me pictures and videos and everything! And yeah I’d love to have the signatures! I really need to go watch their music videos now!” Sara laughs and I laugh as well. I was afraid that she would get too jealous.
“How is it going with school?” I ask.
“Good, I’m almost a chef!” she laughs.
“Great! You can come and cook for me and GD then”, I tease her without any clue of what the future brings.
“For sure! That’s a promise”, Sara laughs. “And bring me one cute Asian guy too!”
“Of course! But now I have to go and continue planning for the trip. I will get back to you soon.”
