Finding You & Me

It was already [1PM] and Adaleina rushed to the cafe shop to meet her girls who were sitting there talking to each other. Adaleina took her seat and started to talk to her girls.

Adaleina : So how was work for you girls today ?
Kristin : Can we not talk about work right now ? (*looks depressed)
Caroline (*looks at Kristin) : did something happen at work ?
Kristin : i hate Andres and my boss so much.
Aria : since when did you become so bitter with work ?
Kristin : my boss said that if i want to go on this trip with you guys,
Kristin : then i would have to give Andres my clients.
Adaleina : and you dont want to ?
Kristin : giving him everything i have is like giving him my entire life.
Kristin : why the hell do i want to do that ? he's been on my case since we worked there.
Aria : maybe he likes you thats why he's helping you with your work.
Kristin : no way in hell he likes me and i dont want that.
Caroline : he is good looking though.
Aria : he is. i dig those kind of guys.
Kristin : then you date him.
Aria (*chuckles & says) : right, never.
Adaleina : so whats your final decision then ?
Kristin : i have to give him them if i want to go.
Caroline : you know this whole design thing has taken my mom to a whole new level.
Aria : what happen now ?
Caroline : she still hates the idea where i design as a hobby.
Kristin : but your designs are good, their amazing Care.
Caroline : yeah ? well my mom doesnt think so.
Aria : who cares what she thinks, you do what you want to do.
Aria : how do you think i went out on my own and never saw my parents again ?
Caroline : i dont know what to do now.
Kristin (*looks at her watch & says) : my time is up, i better get back to work.

Kristin bid farewell to the girls and left the cafe shop while the others were still there talking over lunch. As soon as Kristin left out the cafe back to her work, Caroline sat up and asked something towards Adaleina and Aria.

Caroline : Do you think Kris is going to fall for him ?
Aria (*slaps Caroline on her arm & says) : are you crazy ? you heard her.
Aria : she said that she wouldnt fall for him in a million years.
Caroline : who knows, she might fall for him after he helps her with her job.
Adaleina : dont talk nonsense Care.
Adaleina : she clearly stated that she has nothing to do with him.
Caroline : Aria, who's going to take care Lia when you go with us ? your mom ?
Aria : Lia is going to camp Walden tomorrow for the next 3 weeks.
Aria : my mom is going back home to Korea to visit her family there.
Adaleina : so its your chance to have fun then ?
Aria : most likely.
Caroline : wouldnt she be sad about leaving you here ?
Aria : i bought her the tickets and she was happy to go home to Korea.
Aria : she actually wanted me to take a break from work and go on a vacation somewhere.
Adaleina : she is such a great mother.
Aria : sometimes, i feel like i made a mistake of having Lia.
Aria : My mom took care of her when i work and every time i come home, she is always tired.
Caroline : dont say that. Having Lia is the best thing in the world for you.
Adaleina : Care is right. Lia is your daughter and only your daughter.
Adaleina : I have never seen you so happy before but when you had Lia, you were estatic.
Caroline : yeah. you are the happiest when your with Lia and your mom.
Aria : i felt like i disappointed my mom.
Adaleina : you made her proud and she is happy for you.
Caroline : Lia too.
Aria : Caroline, did you tell your parents about Vegas yet ?
Caroline : i told them this morning.
Aria : and how did they take it ?
Caroline : they were pretty angry and i just left after that.
Adaleina : what a rebel.
Caroline : you know it. i seriously cant live in their shadows anymore.
Aria : so what are you going to do ?
Caroline : i dont know. Maybe Vegas has the answer, i just need to look for it.
Adaleina : we keep on telling you this and you should always follow your heart.
Caroline : i know, thanks guys.
Aria (*looks at her watch & says) : i have to go back to the shop now. i'll see you two later.

Aria stood up and left out the cafe shop. Then Caroline and Adaleina continued talking to each other.

Caroline : so how's work going for you ?
Adaleina : its great actually. we are in the process of doing expansion.
Caroline : your going to expand the HBA shop ?
Adaleina : yeah.
Caroline : where ?
Adaleina : for now, we are looking at spaces and leases for Vegas and Korea.
Adaleina : i have Tammy looking into it while im away on vaca.
Caroline : your not thinking of working on our vaca, are you ?
Adaleina : No. i just need to look and i have a space in mind where i want the HBA store.
Caroline : Kris is going to be pissed if she finds out you are working on this during vaca Addy.
Adaleina : she wont find out and your not going to tell her.
Adaleina : im going to do this on my own time without her knowing.
Caroline : just dont get caught by her.
Adaleina : the design team thought your designs were incrediable Care.
Caroline : really ?
Adaleina : yeah. they were actually jealous of how much design you can do.
Caroline : well, i try my best.
Adaleina : your parents are giving you a hard time still, are they ?
Caroline : yeah. they dont believe in me succeeding in design clothes for a living.
Caroline : i mean, i love nursing for people but sometimes i feel like i want a break and design.
Adaleina : you know that your always welcomed at the HBA company at any time.
Caroline : thanks Addy.
Adaleina : im think of creating a sister company for HBA soon.
Caroline : what is that ?
Adaleina : its where we create an entire new department only for women clothing.
Adaleina : based on HBA right now, its for mens and unisex only.
Adaleina : there's not much for women so we are in the middle of processing that.
Adaleina : you should help me out on the department.
Caroline : that means that you need a whole new building for a company like HBA.
Adaleina : we were thinking of moving the bottom 3 floors to the top and
Adaleina : using that space for the department.
Adaleina : its not much now but if it all goes well, we can have a new building for it.
Caroline : that all sounds great but my protocol is nursing remember ?
Adaleina : so you are just going to live under your parents shadow forever ?
Adaleina : not even having a second thought about designing ?
Caroline : im still going to do it but not under my parents supervision.
Adaleina : but they know about it.
Adaleina : just give it a second thought Care.
Adaleina : I dont want you to put designing aside when you are talented.
Adaleina : its a great opportunity.
Adaleina : Like my mom use to say, 'face your fears like no other'.
Adaleina : believe in yourself and stand up to them.
Adaleina (*looks at her cellphone time & says) : now its my time to go back to work.
Adaleina : think about what i said. good things will happen to you in no time.
Caroline : it already has.
Adaleina : is that really true ?

Adaleina stood up and left the cafe shop too. Caroline was left there thinking about what Addy has said. Everyone went to back to work.
