Kangjun’s POV
“What the hell!” I yell angrily, throwing a deadly glare at the posh looking girl, who was sitting on the couch, “No!! There is no way I am marrying her!”
Father rubs his temples in frustration, “You have no choice, Kangjun. This has already been planned out”.
“No! You already know I’m in love with someone else!” I yell
“I know son but that doesn’t mean that she loves you back. It could be a one-sided love”, father says.
“I hate you sometimes!!” I yell and storm out of the kitchen.
Your POV
I decided to do some homework in the library. I took a quiet spot near a large window that would allow a lot of sunlight to pass through and brighten up the place.
“Perfect!” I say to myself and take a seat.
After a few minutes of quiet studying, Kangjun my best friend/crush storms past me but the suddenly stops in his tracks and gives me a double take. He grabs me by the wrist and starts pulling me somewhere.
“Kangjun! What are you doing!?!?!?” I ask.
“Bringing you back to my place” he replies.
“Why?”
He starts telling me that he’s in an arranged marriage and he has to marry this posh girl who only wants to marry him for the money.
Great…….my best friend who I happen to like is going to get married and it’s not me.
“But why are you dragging me to your place?” I ask him.
“Because I need to tell me Father something” he says with a sexy smile.
Kangjun opens the front door and pulls me in. I see his dad sitting on the sofa, looking a little frustrated but was smiling at a posh girl sitting opposite to him.
“Father, I have something to say” Kangjun says facing his father who turns around and is surprised but then smiles when he sees me behind Kangjun.
“Go on son..” Kangjun’s dad says.
“This is the girl I want to marry, not her..” he says directing his look at the posh girl.
“What!?!? Marry?!?! What are you talking about!?!?!” I exclaim.
He turns towards me and smiles, “I’ve been in love with you since I first met you”.
I smile at him because YAY he loves me. “Me too, Kangjun <3”
“Really? You really mean that!! You aren’t just saying that because you feel sorry for me!?!?” he asks, one after the other like a gun, BANG BANG BANG.
“Excuse me, but sorry to ruin this special moment but Kangjun is supposed to marry me!” the posh girl snaps.
Kangjun’s dad suddenly starts laughing really hard that he suddenly starts tearing up.
“What the heck, Father” Kangjun says.
Once Kangjun’s father had stopped laughing he started to talk. “Um…….Kangjun, you were supposed to marry ________ that’s why me, your mother and _______’s parents made you two meet each other a few years ago but we didn’t think that you two would become best friends. So when the time came, your mother and I thought that it would be awkward for you two so, we made this posh girl take ________’s place as your future wife while we waited for you to make the first move”.
Kangjun’s dad suddenly starts to crack up again and Kangjun and I just shake our heads at his dad like we are disappointed that he lied to us but we were shyly smiling at each other.
Kangjun’s dad beckons Kangjun over and he whisper in his ear and hands him something.
Kangjun glances at me and I suddenly get nervous.
Kangjun walks over to me, slowly and shyly. He suddenly gets down on one knee and looks up at me. I start to smile as I think I know what’s going to happen.
“_________will you marry me?” Kangjun asks, holding out a diamond ring.
“Yes, of course” I reply and he sweeps me up I his arms, bridal style and kisses me passionately.
So, that’s how my best friend became my husband….
