This Is My Life...

Doctor Shin (*comes into the room & sees Mark) : Hi. Do you know Lee Yejin ?
Mark (*turns around & talks to the Doctor) : Yes, i do. Im her close friend.
Doctor Shin : is it okay if i talk to you outside for a while ?
Mark : Yes.

Doctor Shin and Mark went outside of the room to talk.

Mark (*looks at the Doctor confusingly) : Is she going to be okay ?
Doctor Shin : Her injuries look like she just got into a fight, am i right ?
Mark : i think so.
Doctor Shin : She will be fine, i just need to keep her here until tomorrow morning.
Doctor Shin : its just to make sure she is okay with someone here to take care of her.
Mark : i understand.
Doctor Shin : Did Yejin get into an accident before she came here to Korea ?
Mark : Accident ? (*flashback to when Annie said she got hurt by loan sharks)
Doctor Shin : We have checked her status for her body condition, it doesn't look good.
Mark : what do you mean ?
Doctor Shin : Her side rib cage is completely damaged.
Doctor Shin : im not sure how she did it to survive these past few months.
Doctor Shin : most people who have a broken rib cage don’t survive very long but
Doctor Shin : she seems to be alive.
Doctor Shin : im not sure that is possible.
Doctor Shin : the reason why she is in pain every time is because her rib cage is broken.
Doctor Shin : It's completely broken.
Doctor Shin : the rib is an important aspect of your body,
Doctor Shin : without it your lower body system
Doctor Shin : cant hold up and its where you breath also.
Doctor Shin : have you talked to her about getting a surgery for it ?
Mark : She told me she cant because of the price of the surgery.
Doctor Shin : I am going to do an MRI on her rib again once she wakes up.
Doctor Shin : I want to show her how damage it is.
Mark : what happens if she doesnt want to do the surgery ?
Doctor Shin : you can die if you dont do the surgery. her condition is really bad.
Doctor Shin : i want her to live like any other patient in this hospital.
Doctor Shin : we cant loose a life because of this. Please, talk to her and explain it.
Mark : I understand. thank you Doctor.

The doctor left and Mark stood there against the wall thinking about everything. Then Mark went inside to see Annie again. When she was still sleeping, her phone vibrated and Mark heard it. He searched through her backpack and picked up her cellphone.

Mark (*pick up Annie's cellphone) : Hello ?
Kevin : Annie ? where are you ?
Mark : Annie is in the hospital now, she got hurt when she got off of work.
Kevin : who is this ?
Mark : a friend of Annie.
Kevin : im coming right now. thanks.

After hanging up the phone, Mark put Annie's phone back into her backpack. When he was doing that, he saw an envelope that said JYP at the corner. He took it out and opened the envelope slowly, he read it as a contract. He had mixed feelings about it. He thought if she was going to join or not. Then Kevin came running into the room. Mark got startled by Kevin running into the room so he put the contract away after seeing Kevin there. Mark figured that Kevin was Annie's older brother so after making eye contact to each other, Mark talked to Kevin about Annie's condition outside of her room.

Kevin : thank you for bringing my sister here.
Mark : you must be Kevin, Yejin's brother.
Kevin : i am. Was there something wrong with her ?
Mark : She got really hurt by the loan sharks. you should know, right ?
Kevin : I cant believe that their here in Korea now. I thought everything was going great.
Mark : the doctor said that she needs to get a surgery for her rib cage thats broken.
Mark : he said that it would be better and the best to do the surgery.
Mark : she might die if she doesnt get the surgery for her rib.
Mark : Doctor Shin is going to run an MRI as soon as Yejin wakes up.

After hearing the news, Kevin fell onto the chair and looked completely shocked out from the news. Mark had already left back to his house. It was [11PM]. Then Kevin went back inside to see Annie again and she woke up from her sleep. He sat there next to her to talk to her.

Kevin (*walks back into the room & sees Annie)
Kevin (*says softly) : Your awake ?
Annie : mhmmm.. Did Mark leave already ?
Kevin (*nods)
Kevin (*says) : The doctor said something earlier and i dont know how to tell you this.
Annie : this is about my side rib, isnt it ?
Kevin : He wants to run an MRI for your lower system to see the inner details on it.
Kevin : The doctor really wants you to get the surgery.
Kevin : I want you to but thats up to you if you want.
Annie : when is the MRI testing ?
Kevin : i'll call him and he'll come soon.

Kevin went to call the doctor outside at the reception desk. Kevin came back with the Doctor and the doctor wheeled Annie into the MRI room to get her scanned. After the scanning, Annie and Kevin went into Doctor Shin's office to see the results. Doctor Shin explained everything to her and she was surprised of the results. That night, Annie was sent home from the hospital with an envelope in her hands of the results. In that same night, Jr.'s family was having dinner together and Jr.'s mother Park Gi Young asked him about GOT7's debut with Lee Taehyun sitting there listening.

Park Gi Young : So how is GOT7's debut album coming along ?
Jr. : We're finished with it.
Jr. : All we need to do is perform for the showcase using those songs.
Park Gi Young : How are done so fast ?
Jr. : We found a new producer and songwriter, she's a friend of ours at school.
Lee Taehyun (*looks up at Jr. & asks) : how many songs did she produce and write ?
Jr. : she produced and wrote 6 songs couple weeks ago.
Lee Taehyun : and how long did that take for her to do ?
Jr. : one to two hours. why ?
Lee Taehyun : She is very skilled for someone her age. Is she majored in music ?
Jr. : I dont think so but i have a feeling that she might sign with JYP soon.
Park Gi Young : Oh, you should invite her over for dinner with us.
Park Gi Young : its the least we can do when she did that for GOT7.
Lee Taehyun : thats a good idea. Invite her and GOT7 too.
Jr. : Okay, i'll ask them.

Jr. had already went up to his room after dinner. Park Gi Young and Lee Taehyun was in the kitchen cleaning up and talking about Annie.

Park Gi Young : The girl seems like a great person who would produce GOT7's album.
Lee Taehyun : Her name is Lee Yejin, Annie.
Park Gi Young : Lee Song Ah's daughter ?
Lee Taehyun : Ohhh..
Park Gi Young : thats a relief ! She should be accepted into our family as well.
Park Gi Young : did you tell her ?
Lee Taehyun : i did. I dont want to push her away anymore in my life.
Lee Taehyun : i love Yejin and Sunghyun both with their mother too.
Lee Taehyun : i still want to care for them.
Park Gi Young : I know. I just wish you would tell Jr. about Yejin and Sunghyun.
Lee Taehyun : Im going to tell him at the dinner later.
Park Gi Young : alright. Jr. is your son, your step son.
Lee Taehyun : i know. Im going to tell him.
