This Is My Life...

The next morning came [Tuesday]. It was [9AM]. Annie had woken up early at Mark's house and left back to her house to cook breakfast. Before Annie left the house, she left a note saying "Mark, don't worry. I just went back to my house to eat breakfast before going to JYP. I didnt go anywhere so dont worry. I know you will be worry to see that im not here. i will see you later, okay?" Mark came down and looked around to see where Annie was and he discovered a note on the table where she was sleeping at. He just got ready for his day. While Annie in her house, she was making some quick breakfast and she heard someone come in her house and it was Mark. As he came into the house, Annie said....

Annie (*hears Mark come into her house & says) : Hey.
Mark (*comes in & says) : you know that you left the door open.
Annie (*says while setting the table) : i know.
Mark : it can be dangerous if a stranger comes in and rob you.
Mark (*finally gets what Annie said) : wait, you know ?
Annie : i could sense you coming in, i know when someone comes in now.
Mark (*jokes around) : sense ? do i have some kind of special fragrance ?
Annie (*smiles & says) : yes, you have a special sense.
Annie (*finishes setting the table & says) : did you eat breakfast yet ?
Mark : no.
Annie : then do you want some ?
Mark (*sits down & starts eating)
Annie : im guessing thats a yes. (*sits down & eats)
Annie (*looks at Mark & asks) : Did i worry you when i left this morning ?
Mark (*looks up to Annie from his bowl & says) : No. im glad you left a note.
Annie : so we're going to JYP after this ?
Mark : yeah. why ? you nervous ?
Annie : im so nervous. JYP is one of the famous music companies in Korea.
Annie : you'll be lucky if you get in.
Mark : of the years that i trained with JYP, i know that he's a cool guy.
Mark : Dont worry, you'll do fine.

Annie and Mark were done with eating. Annie cleaned up and washed the dishes before leaving the house. While doing that, Mark went to the restroom. When he came out, Annie was waiting for him. Then they headed walking towards the company. When they were walking there, Mark asked Annie about her parents since he saw no picture of him in her house.

Mark : can i ask you something ?
Annie (*looks at Mark confusingly)
Mark : where’s your dad now ?
Annie : he’s working at his company.
Mark : BigHit, right ?
Annie : yeah.
Mark : JYP knows someone from there. whats your dad's name again ?
Annie : Taehyun, Lee Taehyun.
Mark : thats him. JYP is close with your dad, they are close friends.
Annie : there are a lot of Lee Taehyun in this world, it cant be him.
Mark : it is him.
Annie : how do you know that ?
Mark : your dad judged one of GOT7's predebut performances.
Mark : he gave us the okay for our debut.
Mark : Annie. he might be there today. what will you do then ?
Annie : this is work, i have to face him as business not as my dad.
Mark : Taehyun's wife has a son, do you know who he is ?
Annie : i have never met him so i wouldnt know.
Mark : should i tell you ?
Annie (*stops walking & looks at Mark trying to breath)
Mark (*looks at Annie) : Its Jr. from GOT7.
Annie (*looks away trying to breath again)
Annie : of all the people in this world, it had to be him.
Mark : Annie.
Annie : its not the same if i meet him again, i looked at him as my friend.
Annie : he's my step brother.
Mark : are you going to be okay ? im sorry i told you that.
Annie : no, im glad you did.

Couple seconds later, Annie and Mark arrived at the company. They went inside and met up with the rest of GOT7. In 3 hours, Annie was done producing 7 songs. Right when she was about to write the lyrics to the first song, JYP and Taehyun came in to see the progress. They all introduced each other. Annie and GOT7 were writing the songs and going over the tracks. Then JYP walked into the studio with Taehyun with Taehyun following from behind. As soon as they came in, Annie and GOT7 immediately stood up to greet them. GOT7 greeted JYP and Taehyun with their intro "Come and get it, GOT7-imida". Then JYP introduced himself to Annie along with Taehyun.

JYP (*introduced himself to Annie) : you must be Yejin, im JYP.
JYP : its nice to finally meet you.
Annie (*shakes hand with JYP) : Im Lee Yejin, Annie-imida. its nice to meet you.
JYP (*introduces Annie to Taehyun) : this is my close friend Lee Taehyun.
JYP : he is the CEO of BigHit Entertainment.
Taehyun (*puts his hand out to shake hand)
Annie (*looks at him speechless & shakes his hand) : Hello.
JYP (*to Annie) : how is the music coming along ?
Annie : we finished producing it, we just need to get the lyrics down.
JYP (*to Annie) : lets hear them.

Annie let them hear all 7 tracks audio. After that JYP and Taehyun gave their opinions.

JYP : you have a lot of potiential talent. at what age did you start making music ?
Annie : i started after my mom passed away, when i was 13 years old.
JYP : wow, you were so young then.
JYP : we heard that you can sing and dance, is that true ?
Annie : i can dance too but i cant sing that well.
JYP : with practice, you can surely can sing too.
JYP : maybe one day you should show us.
JYP : just keep up the good work, okay ?
Annie : Yes, thank you.
Taehyun : Im impressed.
Taehyun : out of all the music industry years,
Taehyun : we have never had such a young producer before. its the first.
Taehyun : what made you want to produce music ?
Annie : I love listening to music and creating new ones along the way.
Annie : I just wanted to write them.
Taehyun : thats good to hear.
Taehyun : we are looking forward to seeing what you have next in store for us.
Annie : thank you.

After that, JYP and Taehyun had left out the room. Annie was getting back to working with GOT7 until she kept on thinking about Taehyun. So she stood up and ran out the door to talk to Taehyun. GOT7 was looking at her like something was wrong. Taehyun was already out of the building company and Annie ran after him calling out his name so she wanted to talk to him there.

Annie (*runs after Taehyun & finally calls out his name) : Taehyun ! Dad ?
Taehyun (*turns around & sees Annie)
Taehyun (*says) : you havent called me that since your mom died.
Annie : is it true that you kept in contact with Kevin when we were in America ?
Taehyun : im guessing he told you.
Annie : why ? why would you do that for us ?
Taehyun : you two are still my kids.
Taehyun : besides, i promised your mother that i would take care of you both.
Taehyun : im remarried now but it doesnt mean that i cant do that for you guys.
Taehyun : i still care about you two, about your health.
Annie : why didnt you tell me about Jr. ? about my step brother ?
Taehyun : i thought you didnt care about him.
Taehyun : you always wanted me out of your life forever.
Taehyun : how was i suppose to tell you ?
Taehyun : Yejin-ah. im still your father and your only parent guardian left in your life.
Taehyun : why cant you let me be there for you ?
Annie : you were never around in my life.
Taehyun : maybe thats because you pushed me away. Kevin didnt, why did you ?
Taehyun : you still blame me for your mom's death, huh ?
Annie : its not that.
Taehyun : i really want the both of you back in my life.
Taehyun : i see that your following my footsteps in becoming a music producer.
Annie : its just a hobby.
Taehyun : its not a hobby once you come this far.
Taehyun : you know where to find me, i have to go now.

Taehyun left in his car and drove off. When Annie was about to turn around to go back inside, she saw JYP standing there. JYP stood there to speak with Annie about a contract.

Annie (*turns around to see JYP)
JYP (*looks at Annie & says) : I knew you looked like someone when i saw Taehyun.
JYP : he's your father, isnt he ?
Annie : i cant lie to you about that.
JYP : i see where you get your talent from.
JYP : Ive seen what you can do today and thats enough for me to judge you.
JYP (*gives Annie the company contract) : here.
Annie (*accepts it & opens the envelope) : this is a company contract.
JYP : I want you to consider becoming a kpop idol, artist.
JYP : you have the talent. you can produce and write music.
JYP : we can train you to sing and dance if thats what it takes.
Annie : why do you want me ?
JYP : i believe in something when i see it for myself.
JYP : and when i saw you, i thought i could make you into someone you want to be.
JYP : a truly amazingly wonderful idol.
JYP : in JYP, we care about family and we support each other.
JYP : you would need that because you struggle so much in your life.
JYP : you need to tell people through a song you will sing.
JYP : i am willing to let you produce and write your own songs if you become an idol.
Annie : can i think about it ?
JYP : this is why i wanted to give you time so you reconsider about this decision.
Annie : i want to think about it first before anything.
JYP : your wise and smart to do that and im giving it to you.
JYP : just come by and visit when you have the chance.

Then Annie went back inside of the studio and continued working. She put the envelope in her backpack and went to work. [3 hours later], Annie and GOT7 finished writing the lyrics and record all the music. It was the first time they recorded music in the company. Annie was finished and went to the school to go into the dance studio to practice a little. She called in sick to Lady Song. She practiced there all night. After practicing so hard, Annie got tired and sat down her back against the mirror wall. She started to think about what Taehyun said to her earlier and she started to cry. After GOT7's late night dance practice at the company dance studio, they were released to go home. It was already [10PM]. Mark was going to the restaurant to pick up Annie so they could go home together but he didnt see her there so he asked Lady Song where she was.

Mark (*to Lady Song) : Did Yejin leave yet ?
Lady Song : Yejin didnt come to work today, she called in sick.
Mark : really ?
Lady Song : Oh. Is something wrong with her ?
Mark : i dont know. thank you.

Annie had already left the school's dance studio and walked to a bridge in the city. She just stood there looking out to the city and thought that everything has happened. Mark ran around the city looking for Annie and finally found her at the bridge. He came behind her and stood next to her.

Annie (*stands there looking out)
Mark (*comes & stands next to Annie)
Annie (*sense Mark & says) : i felt like the world stopped when i met my dad again.
Mark : did you talk to him ?
Annie : Oh.
Annie : he was right. I did push him away because he got remarried.
Annie : he said that i didnt care about Jr. so he never told me about him.
Annie : what was i suppose to say then ?
Annie : he was right about everything.
Annie : how can i do this ? How can i face Jr. like this ?
Mark : Jr. knows that he has a step sister and brother but he doesnt know who it is.
Mark : he always tells us that he wants to meet them one day.
Annie : this doesnt feel right at all.
Annie : i dont want to do this.
Mark : your gonna tell him sooner or later. he might as well find out on his own.
Mark : the truth might hurt but its the right thing to do Annie.
Annie : i promised myself that i wouldnt keep secrets from anybody here.
Annie : i want to start fresh.
Mark : your not keeping a secret.
Mark : if Jr. needs to hear the truth, he needs to hear it from you.
Annie (*sighs) : fine.
Mark : lets go home, okay ?
Annie : alright.

Mark and Annie walked home once again. They had already gotten home and stopped in front of each other's house. They talked for a little while before going inside.

Mark : where did you go earlier ? i went looking for you.
Annie (*looks down & tries to lie) : Work.
Mark (*faces Ailee & looks at her) : really ? i went there looking for you, you werent there.
Mark : in fact, i talked to Lady Song.
Mark : where did you really go ?
Annie : i went to the school's dance studio to practice a bit.
Mark : it was open ?
Annie : the side window was open so i went in.
Mark : just be careful next time.
Annie : why are you worried about me now ? you dont even like me.
Mark : ive never cared so much for someone before and you sure are the first.
Mark : and i do like you. your different from most girls.
Mark : you arent afraid to say how you feel, your too nice to everyone,
Mark : and your talented.
Mark : you live a hard life without parents.
Mark : i feel bad for you and i want to be there for you.
Mark : i am worried for you. Your brother isnt around so i want to be.
Mark : so would you let me ?
Annie (*stands there speechless & doesnt know what to say)
Mark : im still going to protect you even if you dont want me to.
Mark : i want to be there when your brother couldnt.
Annie : i can take care of myself really well.
Mark : dont try to push me away too because its not going to work.
Mark : Goodnight Annie.

Mark left inside his house and Annie just stood there looking at him going inside. Then she went inside her house. When she walked in, she saw Kevin sitting on the couch watching TV but he knocked out. Then Annie tipped toed to her room but Kevin heard and woke up to ask her why she was home late.

Kevin (*woke up & says) : your home.
Annie (*tip toed & froze when she heard him & turns around) : your awake.
Kevin : why are you home so late ?
Annie : i went to a music company and dance practice at my school.
Kevin : music company ? what about work ?
Annie : i met a kpop idol artist who will be debuting soon.
Annie : they asked me to produce their music for their album.
Kevin : what company is this ?
Annie : JYP Entertainment.
Annie : i met dad today at the company, turns out that he is close friends with JYP.
Kevin : so you ran off to dance practice because you were upset with dad ?
Kevin : is that why you didnt go to work today ?
Annie : you can say that.
Kevin : you cant do this when we're here.
Kevin : i thought you wanted to start a new fresh life ?
Annie : i did.
Annie : producing and writing music can get me there.
Annie : dad said to me, "its not a hobby once you come this far".
Annie : that was the best thing that he said to me in a long time.
Annie : he was proud of what i did today so why cant you ?
Kevin : it might split us apart if you do this, become an idol.
Annie : isnt that what your doing right now ? by having two jobs, you are away from me.
Annie : i barely see you at home.
Annie : dad was proud of me of what i accomplished today. why are you being like this ?
Kevin : i dont want to lose you anymore and it can get dangerous if you keep going.
Annie : so your not going to let me do music then ?
Kevin : im not saying that Annie.
Kevin : i just think that there are a lot of things in this world that can make you happy
Kevin : and music isnt it.
Annie : music does make me happy.
Annie : there is nothing else in this world can trade up for it.
Annie : you sound just like dad for a second when mom was still here.
Annie : if you werent going to let me do music then why did you agree ?
Kevin : agree on what ?
Annie : agree with dad to send me to KJIA. why ?
Kevin : i thought it would be best if you do and dad agreed.
Annie : then did you know about the showcase at the end of the year ?
Kevin : i knew. i had low hopes that you didnt get that far and lose the showcase.
Annie : you didnt believe in me ?
Kevin : its not that.
Annie (*says harshly) : so much for achieving your dream, huh ?
Annie : And here i thought it was all a horrific dream.
Annie (*says harshly) : thanks a lot Kev.

Annie walked into her room and sleep. She felt so sad that she began to cry it off.
