I'll be your light

Zico doesn't waste a second. He instantly shoots Donghyuk in the foot, making him scream in agony and loosen his grip on Melinda. Jaehyo takes Melinda and kicks the maniac away while Jihoo and Minhyuk battle the two men, allowing Taeil and Kyung to free Yukwon. "Just in time." Yukwon laughs with relief. He wraps his arms around Kyung and Taeil's shoulders for support while Jaehyo unnecessarily picks Melinda up like a princess. Yukwon shoots him a death look, Jaehyo just smiles mockingly. The two men are knocked out on the floor. Donghyuk sits on the ground, clutching his bleeding foot. "Let's go." Zico says. They all turn to leave but the man speaks. "I know what you look like BLOCK B member, and I know the face of your lady friend as well. I will find you again. I will torture you again. I will get what I want." He laughs hysterically. Zico cocks his gun and aims it at Donghyuk’s forehead. "Give me one reason why I shouldn't kill you right now." He says. The man opens his mouth but Zico has ready pulled the trigger. Melinda winces and closes her eyes and covers her ears with her hands. Jaehyo can't help but smile at her cuteness. "We're done here." Zico says.

"There isn't enough room for the girl in our van..." Kyung says. Their van only has seven seats. "That's OK. She can sit on my lap." Jaehyo giggles. "There is no way that is happening." Yukwon says through his swollen lips. "She'll sit in the front with me. Everyone else can figure it out themselves." Zico says. Jaehyo sets Melinda down and Zico takes her arm, pulling her to the passenger into the passenger seat and slamming the door. 'Their voices are so familiar...' Melinda thinks. 'Are these all of Yukwon's friends?' As she thinks back to the times she has met them, she clearly remembers 7 people, including Yukwon. BLOCK B also has 7 people. She swallows nervously. She needs to get away from these people, who knows what they’d do to her now that she knows who they are. Zico slams the door of the driver’s side and starts the engine, he takes off his mask and throws it to the back. Now she knows that BLOCK B are Yukwon’s friends. In the back, Jihoo sits on Minhyuk’s lap and annoys him. Yukwon on the other hand is worried about Melinda. Her clothes are torn, her hair is messed up, her face is swollen from crying, but he fears most for her feelings towards him now. Now that she knows he is a BLOCK B member, will she ever see him the same again? Maybe he just ruined his chance with her. He feels cold all of a sudden, then he finally realizes why. “Guys…Did anyone pick up my shirt when we left?” He asks everyone. His friends look at eachother, passing the responsibility on to everyone they look. In the end they all just shrug. Yukwon sighs.

Zico drops Kyung, Yukwon and Melinda off at their apartment building. “Bye guys!” Kyung says happily to Yukwon and Melinda as they make their way up the stairs. Yukwon has just noticed that she is barefoot, that’s right, she took off her shoes to lead him to her. “D-Did you want me to carry you up the stairs?” He asks awkwardly. She shakes her head. Yukwon’s apartment is the first one when they reach their floor. “G-Gooodnight.” He stutters. He goes to unlock his apartment door when Melinda leans her forehead on his back. “Melinda?” He asks. “I’m sorry.” She sobs. “It’s my fault.” He turns around to face her. “What are you talking about?” Yukwon asks her softly. “The stab wound in your back, the cuts on your arm, the bruises on your face…you’re shirt.” She answers. He wraps his muscly arms around her and sighs. “It’s not your fault.” He says while rubbing her back. “It’s not your fault. And don’t worry about me, I’m the tough one in BLOCK B.” he chuckles softly. “I’m sorry.” Melinda repeats. They hear a soft cough and turn to see who it is. I woman holding her sleeping child in her arms is smiling at them. Yukwon lets go of Melinda and awkwardly stands next to her. “Um, sorry.” He says nervously. The woman giggles and enters the apartment across from Yukwon. “You’d better get some rest.” He says gently, he uses his fingers to brush hair out of Melinda’s face. She nods slowly and walks to the end of the hall, where her apartment is. Yukwon enters his own apartment and leans against the door. “That was embarrassing.” He sighs.

There is a soft knock at Yukwon’s door. He opens it to see Melinda wearing leggings and an oversized jumper holding a first aid kit in her arms. “At least let me clean the wound in your back…” she mumbles. He lets her inside. “I’m just going to have a shower now.” Yukwon informs. Melinda sits on the couch and nods.

“Damn, she’s asleep.” Yukwon chuckles. He’s just finished his shower, but Melinda has fallen asleep on his couch. She lies down, holding the first aid kit close to her. He smiles to himself. ‘She looks cute even when she’s sleeping.’ He takes the first aid kit away from her and carries her to his room. He tucks her in and lets her sleep on his bed. He sighs, but feels happy. He heads over to the couch and slumps on it. His eyelids become heavy and sleep easily takes him.

He wakes. He goes to stand up but feels something gently pushing against his skin. It’s a bandage. He has a bandage wrapped around his torso and his back stings a little bit. There is a note written on the table next to him.

He smiles at her note. Although it only says thank you, he feels light. He quickly gets ready and goes to the shopping center. He buys something before he has to go to the base with BLOCK B. “I hope she likes it.” He smiles.

Melinda gets home from uni and stomps up the stairs. “Uni is so tiring sometimes.” She sighs. At her door there is a black box. She looks around to see if there is anyone in the hallway. No one. On the box there is a note.

She smiles and opens the box. Inside the box is a floral top and a black skirt. Even though it isn’t exactly the same as the ones she had ruined the previous night, her smile widens and she giggles. ‘Thank you.’

sorry if this is a weird and jumpy chapter. I didnt know how to put together everything so it might be a bit confusing heh heh heh
