My Peter Pan

Chapter Nine

The studio was big and empty.

That was Yuna's ever so obvious impression of it.
However, when she got a better look of it, she realized that it was a dance studio. Rails stood out along the wall opposite of the mirror, for ballet, and the floor was polished wood. The room was wide enough for half the school to fit in - to Yuna, it was the perfect size.
She looked at Chanyeol. "You practice music in a dance studio?" she asked, partially doubtful.
Chanyeol chuckled. "Yeah. I like the way the notes bounce off the walls...makes it a little less lonely." He walked to the closet and pulled out a guitar and brought it over to Yuna, his eye holding a teasing look. "Don't drop it," he murmured, pushing it into her hands.
Yuna smiled faintly, holding the neck tightly, watching as Chanyeol returned to the closet and brought out two stools, placing them right next to one another. He patted one, and settled on the other, holding his hand out for the instrument.
Almost as soon as Yuna settled on the stool, Chanyeol began playing a sweet tune. She closed her eyes and listened, trying to let the music lift her mood. When it stopped, she smiled and looked up. "Again?" she asked, pouting slightly.
Chanyeol laughed, but played the tune once more. Yuna seemed to have liked it, and it seemed to have made her forget about her troubles with Chen.

We came in second.
Yuna pushed a hand through her hair at Lay's text. Part of her felt relieved, but the other part was disappointed in herself.
On one side, she wouldn't have to face Chen again - she found out from Luhan that he was dropping out of dance class.
However, on the other, she wondered what could have been better. What she could have done to make it better.
Sighing, she knew it was too late to go back now - the damage was done. She pushed a hand through her hair and pulled it into a messy bun, crawling into her bed.
Chink.
A frown settled on Yuna's face. She turned towards her window just in time to watch a rock hit it, making the same noise as the previous. Chink.
Standing up carefully, she walked to the window, wishing she knew what to do. Instead, she settled for opening it, staring down at the familiar boy in her back lawn. "What are you doing here?" she whisper yelled, trying not to wake her parents.
Lay smiled at her. "I wanted to cheer you up...is your back door open?"
Yuna's lips tugged up into a partial smile. "I think so...but careful, Dad might still be up." She watched him rush to the door and heard it slowly creak open.
Settling back on her bed, she put her glasses on and pulled her math homework onto her lap. Her door opened softly, and seconds later, Lay was flopping down on her bed, moving the math homework out of his way. He watched her until she sighed and looked at him, pursing her lips. "Lay?"
The boy smiled, looking down at her math homework. "That's the answer," he mumbled, pointing to option C.
Yuna laughed quietly and pushed his head away. "Yah! I knew that!" She marked the answer, moving onto the next question.
Lay chuckled, pulling his snapback off his head and settling it on hers. "Sure you did, Yune, sure you did," he teased, looking back down at her homework.
Yuna stuck her tongue out, pulling the hat off momentarily. She pulled her hair out of its bun, then put the hat back on, marking an answer.
Lay laughed. "Did you even think about the answer on that one?"
A blush crept onto Yuna's cheeks. "No...is it wrong?"
Lay looked up at his friend, reaching up to pinch one of her cheeks. "No...it's right, you little dork," he said teasingly, laughing when she smiled and flicked his forehead.

When she finally finished her homework, she turned to Lay. "Why are you here?" she asked, putting her homework on the floor next to her bed.
Lay shrugged, making himself comfortable. "Just checking up on you, after the whole thing with Chen," he murmured, watching her for a reaction.
Yuna looked away, feeling vulnerable. "He was jealous of me spending so much time with you, while he was sick, you know?" she mumbled, pulling her knees up to her chest. She spared a glance at Lay, who was looking at the wall opposite of them.
He sighed, hugging the girl to his side. "Don't let it bother you too much, yah? He'll get over it." He still had feelings for Yuna, but those were obviously going to be ignored until Chen got his shit straightened out.
Yuna sighed, wrapping her arms around her friend's waist tightly. "Stay?" she murmured, pouting at him slightly.
Lay felt an internal battle begin. You still like Yuna...what if you say something in your sleep? You know you sleep talk. Or worse, her parents came in and found you sleeping with their daughter? Shrugging his worries off, he nodded, not trusting his voice.
Yuna smiled widely, pulling her glasses and his hat off, setting them on top of her homework. She cuddled up to Lay, pulling the covers over them.

The next morning, Lay managed to sneak out, promising to walk with her to school, seeing as neither of them thought Chen would be up for it.
A smile rose on Yuna's lips as she made her way downstairs, Lay's hat settled on her head, glasses perched on her nose. She knew she probably looked like a dork, with her hair messier than ever under the hat, but she was determined not to let her fellow students bother her like they did yesterday.
She grabbed a muffin from a plate on the counter and walked out the front door, her bag on her arm.
As he said he would be, Lay was standing on the front porch, in a new set of clothes; a plaid shirt and denim jeans adorned him, his Vans on his feet, his hair messily attractive.
Yuna blushed as the thought of what she'd been thinking registered in her mind, turning to pull the door closed behind her as she walked out, catching Lay's attention.

He smiled as Yuna made her way over, munching on her chocolate muffin. "Hey," he murmured, wrapping an arm around her shoulders.
Yuna smiled back, blushing slightly and looking at the ground shyly.

Hey guys!
idk if you're still waiting for more chapters (bless your souls if you are), but I'm moving My Peter Pan to my new account, as Google is no longer a valid option as a way to sign in, I have (as a result) lost this account :3 this story will be revised a bit, but I will try my best to continue it ^_^

@Bambii
You can always change something. It may take time to think. As an author of the story, you can control anything. :)

@My_Lover_Lay
omg you're too nice :3 the plot is literally all over the place though, and it's making writing it really difficult (hence the informal hiatus) :3

@Angiet0903
uhhhhh...she's her own character though? :3 unless you meant who she was supposed to be with?
In the middle of writing this story, my bias changed from Chen to Yixing, which wasn't very helpful :3 but um yeah..by the last chapter I've written (Twelve) she's with Lay, though she was with Chen for a while~

I'm confused I read all of it but
who is she supposed to be Chen or Lay
