"Do you really still like me?"
Yuna blinked and looked up at her boyfriend. "Chen?"
He was staring at the ground as they walked, her hand still in his. "I could see the way you looked at him."
Yuna frowned. "Are you jealous?" she muttered, pulling her hand away.
Chen pushed his hands into his pockets. "Why shouldn't I be? You didn't even sit next to me yesterday or today for lunch, and you hardly spared me a glance after the dance competition."
Yuna scoffed at her boyfriend's behavior. "Excuse me if I want to talk to our other friends as well," she grumbled.
Chen looked away. Or just sit next to Lay. He pushed a hand through his hair as he watched Yuna stalk off. He knew he wasn't being fair to Yuna, and had just jumped to conclusions, but his pride stopped him from running after her.


Tuesday came slowly, even though it was just a day later. More students noticed Yuna avoiding Chen, and gossip started up.

"Don't they have something else to gossip about?" Yuna grumbled to Chanyeol.
Chanyeol shrugged. "Nothing really happens here. You're the new student, hanging out with the four boys most girls want to get with, and you already have two of them wrapped around your finger."
Yuna frowned. "Two? Chen's my -"
"You didn't account for Mr. Yixing, did you?"
A blush worked its way onto Yuna's cheeks, and she looked away. "Lay doesn't like me like that, Yeollie. Otherwise -"
"Otherwise what? Yunes, you must be blind." Chanyeol didn't hold back anything, something he was well known for in the school. He wasn't the least bit shy.
Yuna scrunched her nose up. "Yeollie," she whined, pushing him lightly. "Why are you like this to me?"
Chanyeol laughed. "You've really spent too much time with Chen." Sobering up, he glanced down at his friend. "Are you guys even together anymore?" he asked quietly.
Yuna's gaze turned to the floor. "I don't even know. If we're not, it's a stupid reason."
Chanyeol nudged Yuna. "Hey...why don't we go for coffee after school?"
Yuna stuck her tongue out slightly. "Mom and Dad won't let me drink coffee, Yeollie."
Chanyeol chuckled. "You don't have to have coffee, Yunes."
Yuna looked up at the taller boy. "Okay. After school," she promised, smiling adorably. She waved lightly to him and parted ways, her headed to the west side of the school, him headed to the eastern half.

Lunch time came along, and once again, students around them noticed Yuna and Chen avoiding each other.
However, unlike the day before, when Chen was at least sitting a few seats away from Yuna, he was at the other side of the table, completely ignoring her while he talked to Luhan, something Yuna tried hard not to be bothered by.

"Look at them, not even sitting together anymore."
"I heard they got into a fight about something."
"Maybe she's pregnant."
"Serves the slut right - she's got all those boys watching her every move, ready to take any of them."
"I bet she's not even a virgin anymore."
"Ha! Wouldn't doubt it. Maybe that's what they're fighting about - she's pregnant, and he doesn't want her anymore."

Classmates walked by Yuna, not even bothering to lower their voices. She tried her best to block them out, casting a glance at Lay and Chanyeol.
She was being slut-shamed, just because the tension between her and Chen was painfully obvious, and, not counting Taeyeon, all her friends were boys.
"Yunes.."
She didn't bother to listen as she stood up and stalked out of the cafeteria, brushing Chen's back lightly as she passed him. He stiffened, but otherwise didn't acknowledge her.

"Dude...aren't you going to go talk to her?"
Chen stared down at his food. "No. Lay would probably comfort her more," he muttered.
Luhan kicked him harshly under the table. "You're her boyfriend."
Chen didn't comment and took a slow bite of his tasteless sandwich.

Yuna wasn't exactly sure why she'd run to the old playground near her house, where she'd sometimes spend time with Chen, when honestly, he was the last person she wanted to think about.
"Yunes."
She didn't turn towards her friend's voice, opting to stare into nothing instead. "What?"
Chanyeol sat down next to her on the bench, nudging her gently. The giant was usually happy, but today, her sad atmosphere was effecting him, and he didn't like it. "Don't you want to know who wins the competition?"
She shook her head. "If we do, either Chen or I am dropping out. You saw the way he acted towards me today."
Chanyeol wrapped an arm around Yuna, hugging her to his side. Her head fell on his shoulder, and slowly, tears wet it.
"Why are they saying that stuff about me? I dress modestly, I try not to make enemies, and yet people hate me." Her lip trembled, and she looked down at the ground.
Chanyeol patted her head. Because they're jealous. He didn't bother saying the words out loud, knowing it would burden Yuna and settled with shrugging. "Don't let them bother you, alright? Chen's not helping, really, but just wait for him to talk to you some. I'd kinda avoid him."
Yuna nodded. "I doubt we'll be together much longer." She sobered up, and sat up, frowning at what used to be Chanyeol's crisp white tee, now with a stained shoulder. "Yeollie, I stained your shirt."
Chanyeol shrugged indifferently. "No biggie." Standing up, he pulled Yuna up with him and began walking the opposite way of her house with her in tow.
"Yah! Where are we going?" Yuna complained, thinking about the black streaks that must be all over her face.
Chanyeol looked back and smiled. "To a place I practice my music at."
