My Peter Pan

Chapter Ten

"Slut."

Yuna jumped at the voice, having not expected it. Kristy was standing behind her, this time alone.
Sighing, Yuna turned back to her locker and continued putting her textbooks in it and pulling the ones she'd need out.

Suddenly, the locker door slammed shut, just as she was about to put her hand back in.
Turning, she glared at Kristy. "What do you want?" she hissed.
Kristy looked as if she were thinking for a second. "Me? I want a lot of things." She leaned closer to Yuna, a sneer forming on her lips. "I want your threat of being alive gone."
Yuna rose an eyebrow. "Excuse me?"
Kristy pulled back, her sneer still in place. "You heard me. But hey, at least your English is better - not by much." Patting - more like slapping - Yuna's shoulder, she stalked off.

Yuna took a deep breath to calm herself, feeling her hands shake at her sides. Why did Kristy insist on talking to her like that? Calling her names?
She slid down the lockers, pulling her knees to her chest.
"Han Yuna? What are you doing out of class?"
She stiffened at her name, suddenly hating it. Looking up, she shook her head and stood. "I'm just having a rough time, is all." She brushed past the teacher and headed to the class she was supposed to be in - Social Studies.
"Yuna!"
Reluctantly, she paused, glancing over her shoulder.
The teacher was making her way over, stopping next to Yuna and placing a hand on her shoulder. "If anyone's bullying you or anything like that, you should tell someone."
She saw my exchange with Kristy. Yuna shook off the feeling. "It's nothing."
The teacher's face fell slightly, and she nodded, turning the other way and walking off.

Dance class was no better.
Even though she didn't know half the girls who were there, since Ms. Abbott insisted that the class learn ballroom dancing, every other girl in the class glared at her for being with Lay.

Sighing, Yuna wrapped her arms around her friend, searching for comfort, while Ms. Abbott talked about ballroom dancing, and why it had such a significant role in dancing.
"This all sounds like bull crap," Lay muttered, hugging Yuna back.
Yuna smiled faintly. "It does," she murmured. She turned in his arms so she'd be facing Ms. Abbott, relishing in the comfort Lay provided.
Lay rested his chin on Yuna's head, oblivious to the looks she was receiving from fellow classmates.
"Lay-ssi?"
He blinked at her sudden Korean term, glancing down at her. Lately, she'd been getting better at English, but her Korean came back if she was nervous or feeling down. "What's wrong?"
Yuna shrugged. "I just don't feel well," she mumbled.
Lay bit his lip gently. He was no doctor, but he still pressed his hand to her forehead. "There's no temperature," he murmured, his breath fanning over her ear.
Yuna shivered. "It's not that. I just...I don't know." She struggled to put her emotions into words, slumping back against Lay.
Lay ran thumb against her wrist, feeling her relax slightly. "Is your mind still on Chen?" he murmured, his chin now on her shoulder.
Yuna didn't answer.
Lay's arms tightened, and he felt jealousy scratch at his heart, as if it were rubbing it in his face that Yuna could never possibly love him, or even consider dating him. "Do you want to watch a movie later?"
Yuna nodded timidly, turning her attention back on Ms. Abbott.

"Now, boys, put one hand on your partner's waist, the other holding her hand, and girls, put one hand on his shoulder, and let him lead you."
A blush fanned itself over Yuna's cheeks as Lay's hand found her waist, her tiny one finding his shoulder gently. As Ms. Abbott turned the music on - an old, classical song - Lay began swaying, pulling her closer. A teasing light shone in his eyes, and he leaned down, his breath swishing over her ear. "Relax, Yunes."
Yuna tried, but her muscles wouldn't listen. She sighed and pressed her head against Lay's chest, listening to his heart beat. It skipped a few times, then returned back to normal - helping calm her stiff muscles.

What is she doing? Lay didn't complain, squeezing Yuna's hand gently. She hummed in response, lifting her head and standing straight.
"Alright class. That's everything for today - we actually went a bit over - but I hope you don't mind!" Ms. Abbott's voice was giddy, and Yuna pursed her lips. "Remember to practice!"

The class filed out, and Yuna grabbed Lay's hand, letting him lead her.
It didn't take long to make it to his home, which was nice and cool, thanks to the AC - something Yuna's parents refused to buy.

While Lay got a movie ready, Yuna settled on the couch, pulling the blanket off the back and draping it over herself lazily.
Lay sat down next to her, pulling her against him gently. "You alright?" he murmured, glancing at the blanket.
She nodded. "Yeah. The blanket makes me comfortable."
He hummed in response, grabbing her semi-cold hand in his own. "You're cold." Worry flitted through his voice.
Yuna shook her head. "It's fine. My hands are always that way - I'm surprised you didn't notice it at school."
Lay bit his lip, sighing as he rested his head on her shoulder. "You're something else, Han Yuna."

Notes

Hai~
This is so late :3 And so short - but, I promise, a longer one is coming soon! I've already got half of it done (the half that was originally gonna be in this one), but then I felt bad about (possibly) leaving a cliffhanger lol so yeah...maybe the next one will be up tonight, maybe tomorrow...maybe Sunday lol

Hey guys!
idk if you're still waiting for more chapters (bless your souls if you are), but I'm moving My Peter Pan to my new account, as Google is no longer a valid option as a way to sign in, I have (as a result) lost this account :3 this story will be revised a bit, but I will try my best to continue it ^_^

@Bambii
You can always change something. It may take time to think. As an author of the story, you can control anything. :)

@My_Lover_Lay
omg you're too nice :3 the plot is literally all over the place though, and it's making writing it really difficult (hence the informal hiatus) :3

@Angiet0903
uhhhhh...she's her own character though? :3 unless you meant who she was supposed to be with?
In the middle of writing this story, my bias changed from Chen to Yixing, which wasn't very helpful :3 but um yeah..by the last chapter I've written (Twelve) she's with Lay, though she was with Chen for a while~

I'm confused I read all of it but
who is she supposed to be Chen or Lay
