The next few weeks were stressful, to say the least.
Not only did the teachers decide to bomb students with homework, but the dance competition was coming up soon.
Tension between Chen and Lay had risen, something that hadn't gone unnoticed by Yuna.
So, one day after dance practice, after Lay left, Yuna pulled Chen aside. "What's going on between you and Lay?" she murmured, wrapping her arms around Chen's waist.
The latter pursed his lips. He could make a complete douche move and tell Yuna about Lay's feelings for him, or he could be a good friend. "Nothing - Lay's just stressed," he murmured, hugging his girlfriend back.
Yuna nodded, not completely convinced. "I guess..." she mumbled, her mind's eye imagining what it would be like after high school ended.
"Yunes?"
She looked up. "Hmm?"
"I think we should watch a movie this weekend."
Yuna blinked at Chen's sudden statement. "A movie?"
He smiled. "Yeah! Like..when was the last time you saw Peter Pan?"
She frowned. "A while ago.." she trailed off, not completely sure where Chen was going with this. "Why?"
Chen chuckled. "I wanna watch it with you. Taeyeon's going somewhere on Sunday, and Mom and Dad work - we'll have the house to ourselves."
Yuna smiled. "But we still need some practice..."
Chen placed a soft kiss on Yuna's forehead. "Alright, after the competition then."
Yuna's smile widened, and she blushed slightly. "Thanks, Peter Pan."
Chen laughed. "I s'pose that's my new nickname?"
Yuna gave Chen a cute smile. "Yes."
He chuckled. "I'll see you tomorrow..I gotta go."

Baekhyun chewed on his lip. Once he somewhat got over the fact that Yuna would never like him the way he liked her, he noticed how Taeyeon would glance at him every now and again.
Yes, Taeyeon was pretty, but she was his best friend's little sister. He'd liked her when they'd first met, but the feelings passed by rather quickly when Chen had made it obvious that his sister was off-limits.
Sighing in annoyance, Baekhyun rolled over. He was at home, lying on the carpet in his room. Screw it...he's dating his sister's friend. Grabbing his phone, he clicked on Taeyeon's name, praying that she'd pick up.
"Yeboseyo?"
Baekhyun smiled. "Hey."

Taeyeon almost had a heart attack when she heard Baekhyun's voice on the other end of the line. Sitting up, she nearly knocked over the stack of homework on her bed, dropping her phone instead. Cursing under her breath lightly, she grabbed her phone, almost dropping it again when she heard Baekhyun's laugh. "Sorry," she said, blushing a deep red.

Baekhyun smiled from the other side of the line. "Are you okay? It sounded like you dropped the phone.."
Taeyeon felt as if she would die any second from embarrassment. "Yeah..I almost knocked over my homework, and my phone fell instead."
Chuckling, Baekhyun glanced at his own pile of homework. "I was wondering if you'd like to go to a movie sometime soon? Like this weekend, or the next?"

Taeyeon's heart almost stopped. Movies? I must be dreaming. Byun Baekhyun asking me out to the movies? Trying to act as if his request didn't effect her much, she asked, "Are you asking me so I don't feel left out that you and my brother or one of your friends are going without me?"
Baekhyun smiled. "No, I was thinking just us.." he trailed off, rolling onto his back and staring at the ceiling.
Taeyeon's breath caught. "J-just us?" she stuttered, her heart about to beat out of her chest.
Suddenly Baekhyun felt nervous. What if she didn't want to go? Was that why she was being so ignorant? "Um..If you don't want to, you don't have to, I just thought.."
Taeyeon forced herself back into reality. He must think she doesn't want to go! Quickly, she replied, "Of course I want to go...I was just shocked, is all."
She could hear his smile when he said, "Great..what movie do you want to see?"
Taeyeon blushed. "I heard The Fault In Our Stars is in.."
Baekhyun smiled. "So you want to see that one?"
A small giggle escaped her lips. "Yeah...if it's alright with you."
Baekhyun's smile widened. "I'm fine with it. I've actually wanted to see it since the trailer came out."


Taeyeon felt as if she were on top of the world when she ended the phone call with Baekhyun. He actually wanted to spend time with her. Happiness seemed to explode inside of her until she couldn't take it anymore and screamed into her pillow.
Suddenly, she felt silly. What if his feelings for her weren't mutual? What if he was just bored and wanted to go to the movies with someone, but everyone else he knew was busy this weekend? Chen was obviously busy with Yuna, but there was still Chanyeol, Luhan, and Lay.
She pursed her lips. And boys say girls are the confusing ones.


"Hey, Taeyeon?"
She looked up at her name to see Chen standing at her door casually, his lips pursed. "What?" she furrowed her eyebrows, confused as to why her brother was there, in her space, invading her personal area.
Yes, when you have a twin, it gets a little annoying sometimes.
Chen didn't seem to notice her annoyance. "I heard from Yuna that you're going on a date with Baekhyun?"
Taeyeon's eyes narrowed. "So?"
Chen's stance stiffened. "He's my friend, Taeyeon."
She sat up and crossed her arms. "Yuna's my friend, and you're dating her. I don't see what's wrong with going somewhere with Baekhyun. And anyways, it's not even a date. We're just going to a movie." Sadness slightly laced her voice, something that did not go unnoticed by her brother.
Chen loosened up. "Okay. You're still my little sister though, so I still have the right to be over-protective," he teased.
Taeyeon threw her hands up. "Ya! I'm two minutes older than you!"
Laughing, Chen exited the room, going to his own across the hall. Music began playing, and an instant later, Taeyeon felt light thumps indicating that her brother was dancing.
Sighing, she imagined Baekhyun. The weekend was still three days away. A blush worked its way onto her cheeks, and she looked down at the assignment she had been working on.

Taeyeon looked away again, pushing the homework away. She hated homework.
Just as she was about to grab it again, her phone buzzed next to her arm, indicated she got a new text.
Dress casually - we'll go out for dinner too :) - Baek
Taeyeon's breath caught, and she let a wide smile cover her face. Not only a movie, but dinner?
Okay, maybe it could be considered a date.

The next day, when Yuna opened her door, surprise showed on her expression when she saw Lay standing there instead of Chen. Blinking, she smiled at her friend, closing the door behind her. "Hey. Where's Chen?"
Lay smiled back slightly. "He's got a a sore throat - when he called this morning, I could barely hear him."
Yuna's eyebrows knit together. "Do you think he'll be alright?" she mumbled, wanting nothing more than to go and see him.
Lay chewed on the inside of his lip. The school dance competition was in four days - that Monday. If Chen was still sick then, then how would they participate?
Yes, Yuna and Lay knew Chen's parts in the dance, but it'd be incredibly hard to get used to dancing more in his absence. "I think we should get backup choreography ready, just in case," he murmured, scratching the back of his head.
Yuna chewed on her bottom lip harshly. "It's just a sore throat, right?" she asked, looking up at Lay desperately.
Lay searched her eyes. Why can't you share my feelings? Glancing away, he nodded, looking down.
Yuna sighed in relief. Maybe he could make it to the dance competition after all.

Taeyeon was having a different morning than her stressed friends. Since her brother was sick, she carried the burden of telling each of his teachers - and of course, since they were siblings, they didn't share teachers.
Do you want company on the way to school?
A smile formed on her lips at Baekhyun's text. If it's not burdensome.
Seconds later, the doorbell rang.
A small chuckle left Taeyeon's lips, and she grabbed her backpack, called out a bye to her brother, and walked out the front door.

"Hey."
Taeyeon smiled shyly. "Hello."
Baekhyun's smile widened, and he offered his hand nervously.
Taeyeon's eyes widened. Holding hands?

From the house, Chen was watching his sister interact with his best friend. So far, only smiles and a little chatting..
Suddenly, he saw Baekhyun hold his hand out.
"Hell, no! Taeyeon, don't you - hell no! Get your hand out of his, Taeyeon, I am really gonna - Baekhyun! Don't hold her hand like that! YAH! Can't you hear me?" Chen's rage filled him, and he began screaming, hurting his throat even more.
Really, he wanted to make them hear him, but he couldn't even hear his own voice. So how would he expect them to hear him?
Clenching his teeth at his realization, he stormed into his room. Though his initial plan was to chew Taeyeon out in a text, the one lit up on his phone gnawed his anger away.
Are you okay?
Chen smiled, his eyes softening immediately. Yes - my throat hurts though :( I miss you. Satisfied, he sent the text and crawled into bed, praying to get rid of his sore throat before the dance competition on Monday.

I guess we'll have to wait to see Peter Pan :(
Chen sighed. Yuna was on her break, and they'd been texting nonstop. I know. Next week is still open though :)
He sent the text, hoping to cheer her up a little. His voice had come back slightly over the day, but he didn't trust himself not to lose it again. Yes, he wanted to hear her voice, but the only way to do that would be to have her over, and he couldn't risk getting her sick.
I suppose...do you think you'll be ready on Monday?
