The way which the wind blows
Chapter 30
Your POV
“Congratulations Sehun!” I squeal. He hugs me, lifts me off the ground and spins me around. “Thanks.” He smiles, kissing me on the forehead. He sets me down. “But do you know what that means?” he asks. “No…” I look into his eyes. “It means you wont see me very often because I have to live in the dormitories…which is pretty far from here. And there will be strict schedules and timetables-“ I cut him off. “You’re too noisy.” I say. “I’m fine with all of that. As long as you’re happy.” He tucks hair strands behind my ear. “What about your happiness?” he asks softly. “I’m happy as long as you stop doing that.” I say while untucking the hair. The school bell rings. “Bye beautiful.” He smiles. “Later handsome.” I reply.
Sehun’s POV
“I repeat. The school is in lock down. Mark attendance again to make sure all students are in class. No student is to be wondering around school. Neither is a teacher. Remain calm for further notice. That is all.” The P.A system makes a static noise, which eventually ceases. Lock down in the school, I wonder why. I hear someone gasp “Woah.” And everyone turns their head to the window. A person in a clown mask is standing there, watching us through the window. The teacher attempts to divert our attention from the stranger, so I turn my attention back to her. The clown-masked person slowly bangs on the window. I can’t help but feel he wants my attention. I quickly look over at him and he stops banging. He waves. I get a chill down my spine. He could be waving at anyone, there are many people looking at him. I hear the clown-masked person laugh and he walks away. I turn my attention back to the teacher; she raises an eyebrow at me. I shrug my shoulders. “I swear I don’t know him.” I say.
Minseok’s POV
“Are you sure about this Tao?” I ask nervously. I really regret this. “It’s not too late to go back.” I walk slowly behind him, while he walks strongly and energetically. “Don’t be silly. Wasn’t it you who wanted to do this in the first place?” he laughs lightly. How can Tao laugh so lightly in a time like this? I wanted to make more friends and have a more diverse circle of friends. I guess I chose a wrong group of people. I don’t know what I was thinking when I approached those clown-masked guys. I grab onto Tao’s sleeve. “Maybe…” I stutter. “We’re almost there. Let’s go.” He urges. I don’t understand why Tao is so interested in this. The guys told us to meet at the oval; they want to test our ‘strength’ and ‘ability’. I’m not sure what it means entirely, but I think it means fighting ability. I’m not so good at fighting, but I know Tao is. Tao has changed somehow, I can feel it, I just know it. But I don’t know how he has changed; I just hope he hasn’t changed for the worse.
We stand in front of three people in clown masks. “Welcome. Minseok and Tao.” The middle clown says. “Are you ready for initiation?” he chuckles. I can feel my knees shaking and I can feel the hairs on my neck rising. I get a bad feeling from these guys. “Unfortunately, all of our members could not attend this initiation. These-“ The middle clown gestures to the clowns on his left and right. “are the weakest fighters in our gang. Now don’t be fooled. They are not weak, they are only the weakest of our gang. Our gang consists of; strength, cunning, intelligence and many more attributes. Not just brute strength.” The middle clown is so boring. I could fall asleep from this little speech of his. “Your first test, it strength and fighting ability.” He snickers. Damn I knew it. Tao is definitely going to pass this one. The middle clown nods to the one on his right, and he nods back. The clown steps forward. “Minseok.” Says the middle clown. I almost jump. “Y-Yes?” I stammer. “This is your opponent. May the fight…begin.” As he finishes, everyone but me and my opponent step back. I swallow. This is bad. My mind goes blank, my legs turn to jelly, my arms become numb. The clown steps forward, and throws his first punch.
