The way which the wind blows

Minseok’s POV
Sehun slaps my in the face and it stings like hell. The members of Exo have to pull him back and stop him from striking me again. “How could you?” he snarls. “Hey. Hey! We’re all angry at him, but you don’t need to beat him up anymore. He’s already beaten up pretty bad.” Growls Kyungsoo. Sehun shakes everyone off. He glares at me before sitting down on the chair in my room. He scares me more than the clown guys. Joonmyun pinches the bridge of his nose in frustration. “Why?” he whispers so softly I can barely hear it. “You guys would think I’m stupid if I told you the reason.” I say. “Yeah that’s obvious.” Hisses Sehun and he stands up. I jerk backwards. Sehun scoffs and sits back down. I sit down on my bed and am joined by Joonmyun, Baekhyun, and Yixing. I sigh. I guess I have to tell them. I open my mouth to talk but Tao beats me to it. “Some times, hanging out with the same people for years, is tiring.” He says crossing his arms over his chest. “What did you say?” asks Sehun with sharp eyes. His eyes may be sharp and scary, but his voice is weak and sad. “So all of a sudden, we’re not good enough for you?” he asks. “It’s not that. It’s just. We should be able to make new friends.” Retorts Tao. “Make new friends with gangsters?!” Sehun shouts. “Calm down!” Joonmyun shouts. He never raises his voice; it makes me scared. “We all just need to breathe and consider each other’s thoughts and feelings.” He says, directing it at Sehun. “Stuff that.” Sehun scoffs. “I’m not the empathetic type. I’m leaving.” Once he has left, everyone is quiet. No one says a word, because; well because Sehun has basically said it all.

If it wasn’t for Tao, I would’ve left with more than just a few scrapes and bruises. The ‘weakest of them’ was really tough. His first punch got me in the face. I was alright at dodging his attacks, but I couldn’t attack back. And when I tripped, I thought I was going to die. But Tao saved me. He threw the guy off of me and started to beat him. Tao eventually beat both of the ‘weakest’ gang members. He had passed the first stage of initiation. I can feel jealousy rise inside of me. I don’t want Tao to get in without me.

Sehun’s POV
My feet take me to (Y/N)’s house. I knock and she immediately answers. “Sehun! What are you doing here?” she asks. I chuckle. She’s already in her pajamas; pink top and purple bottoms. “Don’t laugh. My pajamas are cool.” She says with a smile. I don’t see her parents around so we freely sit on the couch. “My parent’s aren’t home, they’ve gone to some concert together. I’m making dinner, want to stay for some?” she rests her head on my shoulder. “So…what’s wrong?” she asks me. “Hm?” She lifts her head and looks into my eyes. “You only come over when you want comforting.” She says with a pout. “I guess you know me too well.” I chuckle insincerely. I’m not sure her comment meant well. She stands up and walks over to the kitchen. I silently follow her. While she is at the stove, I hug her from behind. “Sehun what’re-“ she starts. “The kitchen is a dangerous place.” She says softly. When I don’t reply she sighs. “After we eat, we can talk OK? I can’t cook when you’re donto me like this.” With a pout I let go of her. I hate the work ‘clinging’; it makes me sound so desperate and inconsiderate. I slouch on the couch and wait for her.

After dinner we retreat to her room. “So, tell me what is wrong.” She says as she snuggles under her blanket. I join her and sigh. “A lot has been going on.” I explain the situation with Tao and Minseok. “Am I not good enough? Everyone is leaving me (Y/N). My parents, my friends…I hope you don’t leave me.” The words spill out of my mouth and it makes me sound so desperate. “I won’t leave you.” She whispers. I wrap my arms around her and burry my face in her chest. “And don’t take it too hard. Things need to change in order for you to move forward in life. If everything was the same, you would be living in the same time over and over.” “I would rather live in the same time over and over if everyone I love was in my life.” I say. She sighs to my response. “Don’t be angry at Minseok and Tao. It’s OK that they want to make new friends, just because they want to make new friends doesn’t mean they’ll stop considering you as one.” She says. Now it’s my turn to sigh. Nobody understands. “I’m not angry that he wants to make new friends. I’m angry at them because they could’ve gotten seriously hurt.” That’s all I need t say, so I bury my face deeper into her chest. The rising and falling of her chest calms me. I know that I probably don’t need anyone else, other than her.
