Tears rushed down my face at the sound of his voice. He sounded so calm, like nothing even happened. I tried to speak but something got caught in my throat. Guilt. I felt so bad about yelling at him, about getting angry with him. I knew that going out with Sehun was a bad idea and I realized when he wanted me to act like his girlfriend.
“I’m sorry.” Leo said.
I was shocked. Absolutely shocked and confused. He said “I’m sorry” before I did. The reason why I called him was to apologise yet I couldn’t even say it. I started to get hiccup fits and the sniffles, Leo eventually noticed and asked why I was upset.
“I’m sorry, too.” I said. “I’m sorry for getting angry with you, and yelling at you. I’m sorry I said all those things that other time. And I’m sorry I’m such a horrible person.”
For some reason, apologizing made me even sadder. It made me realize that I was a horrible person who was selfish and inconsiderate. Leo sighed.
“You shouldn’t be sorry. I was out of line. I’m sorry I was being possessive and selfish. I’m sorry I argued with you over small things. And – “ He mumbled the last part. “I’m sorry I punched your friend.”
Tears slid down my cheeks, not because I was sad, but because I was happy and relieved. I was such a crybaby, and I was embarrassed about it. I tried not to make it obvious by tilting the phone away from my mouth, but Leo knew.
“Don’t be upset.” He said softly. “It’s not your fault, don’t blame yourself. I just lost my temper.”
“I’m not upset. I’m happy that this fighting and arguing is finally over. I think I understand your views now.” I said.
“And if you would like, I’ll apologise to your friend too…” Leo said slowly.
“That would be nice of you.” I said.

After school the next day, I dragged Sehun to where I usually meet Leo and they both maturely apologized to each other. I was happy that it was all cleared off, but I had a feeling that when I turned my back Leo and Sehun exchanged a few words. I never got to ask why, maybe because I didn’t want to know. I was just glad that everything between Leo and I was back to normal.

That night, VIXX came over to eat. My mum was more than happy, but my dad was confused about why there were six grown men at his house eating dinner. “I’m not that old!” Hyuk replied with a smile. “I’m only two years older than Melinda.” At the beginning of the dinner, my dad kept looking at the VIXX boys with suspicion in his eyes, but he warmed up to them and said that he liked them. Cindy explained that VIXX were a famous boy band and my dad laughed. “No wonder you boys look familiar!” he laughed. “Wow, I can’t believe my little Melinda is friends with idols.”

After dinner, Leo pulled me over and led me to my own room. His fingertips brushed against my collarbone and my shoulders stiffened. I don’t really want to explain what I though was going to happen, but all you have to know, is that I was not ready.
“Leo….” I gasped.
“Where is your necklace I gave you?” he asked.
“It’s in my little jewelry box.” I take the box in my hands and show it to him. I don’t wear a lot of accessories so I keep it all in this little box.
“Please wear it all the time.” He whispered. He took out the necklace and put it on me. “Also, keep tomorrow free.” He suggested. “I want to take you somewhere.”
He kissed me on the forehead and left me with a massive smile on my face. Things are looking up again.
