Sehun stood up tall.
“It’s none of your business.” He said coldly.
Leo grabbed Sehun’s shirt and goosebumps rose on my arms. “Why are you here?” he repeated.
Sehun pushed Leo back. “I said it’s none of your business.”
“Guys, that’s enough.” I whimpered.
They didn’t stop going at each other and they kept pushing each other around.
“Tell me why you’re at Melinda’s house!” Leo said sternly.
“We were just about ready to go out. Why? You jealous?”
“Don’t take her anywhere.”
“Why? Is she your property? No.” Sehun said mockingly.
“Guys. Stop.” Ravi tried.
“She’s not my property but I know she shouldn’t spend any time with you.”
“She can do what she wants.” Sehun shouted and threw his fist at Leo. It got Leo in the cheek and he stumbled backwards.
“You’ll regret that.” Said Leo and he punched Sehun back. But because Leo was older, stronger, and tougher, Sehun was sent flying. Leo didn’t stop there, he went to punch again but the other members of VIXX held him back. I rushed to check Sehun who was not moving. Why wasn’t he moving? “Sehun get up. What’s wrong? Why aren’t you getting up?” I said frantically. I held his face with my hands and his eyes slowly opened. He groaned before responding. “I’m just resting. I can take this guy.” He said with a charming smile that still made butterflies in my belly. Sehun’s eyes closed and his neck relaxed, resting in my hands.
“That’s enough.” I said. I set his head down gently and turned to face Leo. “Why did you have to be so extreme for? You didn’t have to punch the guy!” I said angrily.
“Why are you getting angry at me for?” Leo shouted back.
“Leo calm down…” N soothed.
“I told you not to hang out with them anymore.” Leo said bluntly and coldly. A shiver ran up my spine. I think I’d rather Leo yelling at me than this.
“They’re my friends, I get to do whatever I want with my friends.” I said.
“This is what happens when you hang out with people who like you Melinda.” Leo said in a monotone voice.
I didn’t know what to say, I was speechless. I was just so upset that the person I liked, punched the person I used to like. I just became so upset that I demanded everyone went home. I watched Sehun as he hobbled into the car and rested his head on the headrest. So fragile.

I read the text messages that were sent before. They were all from Leo.

‘Hey Melinda! Can we come over and eat at your house today? Ravi really wants to eat your mum’s hot pot again.’

‘Melinda! Ravi is waiting for a reply!’

‘We’re coming whether or not you say so.’

‘Melinda! Are you gonna answer?’

‘Too bad, we’re already here.’


My heart sank and crashed on the floor. All Leo wanted to do was to eat at my house, yet he encountered something totally different. Was this all my fault? Could this be all my fault? My fingers trembled as I entered his number into my phone. I need to apologise to him. I put the phone to my ear and waited for him to answer. The continuous ringing felt like a spiral of hope being drained from me. Why won’t he answer his phone? Was he angry with me? Of course he was. I was just about ready to hang up when I heard Leo’s voice.
“Melinda?”
