I realized I did like Leo, and that an older man would probably want a mature woman by his side. How was I going to be more mature and suitable for him? I wanted him to like me back.

I texted him during school telling him that I didn’t need to be taken home anymore. Mature girls didn’t need people to take them home everyday. He insisted that he should take me home, but there wasn’t any trouble recently with the men dressed in black. I haven’t seen them in a while actually.
As I started to walk home that day, I felt someone lightly tap my shoulder. I turned around, expecting the person to be one of my friends. It was Sehun. “Hello Melinda!” he said happily with a cute smile on his face. I knew I had to avoid him so I quickly said hi and tried to walk off. He was so persistent that he followed after me. “Are you walking home alone today?” he asked. “Where is Leo?” “Yes I am walking home alone today.” I sighed. I knew I shouldn’t be around him, but he was so cute; I couldn’t tell him to just piss off. So, Sehun walked with me all the way to my house. “So this is where you live! It’s so close to school!” he exclaimed.

The next day was the same. Sehun accompanied me home.

And the next day.

And the next day.

A week had passed. I hadn’t seen or heard from Leo and I’ve ben seeing more of Sheun. One day, Sehun walked me all the way to my front door. Before I said good bye, he grabbed on to my wrist. “Just so you know, I haven’t given up on you yet Melinda…” he said confidently. I slipped my wrist out of his grasp. “I know…But just so you know, I don’t see you in that way anymore Sehun.” I replied.
His fingers curled into fists and he looked at the ground. “I know.” He gasped weakly.
I honestly didn’t know what to do or say. At that moment, it was like everything was frozen and nothing would move again unless I said something.
“I know. But I have to try.” He said looking up, into my eyes. “I know that I wasn’t the best boyfriend, and I know that you don’t see me in that way anymore. But I can’t forgive myself for letting you go. If I can’t fix what we had, then I’ll spend the rest of my life trying.” A single tear rolled down Sehun’s cheek and my heart broke. I brought my hand up against his cheek and softly caressed his face. He took hold of my hand with both of his hands. “I can’t thank you enough Sehun. You taught me so much about love and what it was like to love and be loved. I loved you dearly and you will always have a place in my heart. Somewhere deep down, my heart is still yearning for the touch of your lips and the warmth of your heart. But I needed to move on, and you need as well. You will find someone better, someone who will make you smile more, make you happier, love you more than I ever could.”
“I can’t let go of you.” Sehun whimpered. “At least let me feel your warmth one more time.” He pulled me into a hug. My head rested against his chest and his sad heartbeat rung in my ears. His arms wrapped tightly around me, he didn’t want to lose me. “At least let me feel the warmth of your lips one more time.” He whispered. “Wha-?” I started. His face met mine and he stole a kiss from my lips. I closed my eyes. How did things turn out like this? I felt a tear race down my face. “YA! Melinda what are you doing?!” I heard a familiar voice shout. My lips broke away from Sehun’s and I saw N and Ravi running towards me. Ravi screwed up his face and pushed Sehun away from me. N held onto my shoulders. “Where is Leo?” he asked urgently.
“What do you mean?” I asked, confused.
“Leo!” Ravi and N said in unison.
“I don’t understand! Why would Leo be here?”
“He told us he went to see you a while ago. But when we tried calling and texting him he didn’t answer or respond so we thought something was wrong!” N said worriedly.
Leo came to see me…? Oh please, don’t tell me. Did Leo see what happened between me and Sehun? I peeked over Ravi shoulder, Sehun was gone. “OK, Let’s look for Leo.” I said.
