Leo cautiously held the box of macrons in his gentle hands, careful not to crack the delicate shells of the desserts. I’m so full, it hurts to walk. Luckily for me, we don’t have to walk a long distance because Leo soon hails a taxi. We stop at Jeesun’s house, and VIXX’s black van is parked out the front. We walk inside and I am immediately greeted by Jinho. He grabs the hem of my dress in his hands and drags me into the hallway. “Melinda!” he blubbers. I walk into the living room where the rest of VIXX and Jeesun are sitting. “Hello everyone!” I say cheerfully. They greet me back with the same positive energy. I’m so glad I met them, who knows where I would be right now if I hadn’t met VIXX and Jeesun. I sit on the couch next to Hyuk. “I heard you’re going to camp.” I say to him. Leo walks into the room, sets the box of macrons on the coffee table and sits on the single couch. “I bought you all macrons. Everyone gets one and yes I bought your favourite flavours.” He says while sinking into the couch. “Yeah I’m going to camp for a week.” Says Hyuk. “Leo will be taking you home for the week though, are you OK with that?” I nod. I don’t know how to answer his question. How do I answer his question? I dont want Hyuk to be away for a whole week. Then again, I don’t mind Leo walking me home either.

They drop me off at home in the black van. “See you tomorrow.” I say to Leo. “Have fun at camp Hyuk.” I say to Hyuk. I wave back to everyone and step into my house.

I try to do my homework, but something is distracting me. I get up and do five star jumps to clear my mind, but when I sit back down I can’t concentrate. I don’t know what is bothering me. I suddenly hear my phone chime. Someone has texted me, I wonder who it is. I grab my phone off my bed and become all giddy. It’s Leo. I open the text message; ‘Hello Melinda. Feel like going out for more desserts tomorrow afternoon?’ I get so nervous that my fingers refuse to co-operate. ‘Yes.’ My fingers type, I almost press the send button when I realize how stupid my reply is. I delete the message and try to start again. After six attempts I finally send the right message. ‘Thank you for taking me out to luxbite today it was amazing! Another dessert trip tomorrow would be awesome! See you tomorrow.’ I shakily set my phone on my table and stare at it in wait for a response. I feel the butterflies multiply rapidly in my stomach; there is no way I can concentrate on my studies now. My phone chimes and I snatch up my phone. Why am I so excited about opening a text? ‘No problem Melinda. If you ever want to go out anywhere just tell me and I’ll arrange it.’ My heart beats faster when I finish reading the text. Does he mean he will take me out whenever I want to…? Do people normally do that? And doesn’t he have kpop idol things to do? I fall onto my bed, landing on my back. I hold the phone to the sky and wonder about his text. What does it mean? What should I write back? I should take a quick shower to clear my mind.

I fall back into my bed and wrap the blanket around me. I feel so fresh after that shower. I turn off my night lamp and turn on my side. I close my eyes and exhale deeply. There was something I had to do…but I forgot what it was.
