My Demon

The Basement

I shut and locked the basement door behind me. A thick, dark aura pushed down on me. Something demonic. I didn't like it but I had no choice. I was being hunted down by Hunters for summoning a demon inside the school.

Problem was I didn't summon it but because I was a necromancer studying Demonology almong other things, they didn't believe.

I heard them on the other side of the door. There was dark rumors about this basement and I truly hope that kept them at bay for a while. I slowly made my way down the stairs. The demonic aura was getting thicker and everything in me wanted to go back upstairs and face the hunters. I tried my best to ignore those feelings and prayed this aura worked on the hunters.

I made a very dim light appear in my hand. Bright enough for me to see but not bright enough to reach back up the stairs. The basement was old. Water stains covered the wall and floor. Old boxes falling apart. Cobwebs decorated the spaces in between.

A metal door was seen behind a low stack of boxes. The demonic aura was coming from it. Not seeing another way out of the basement. I quietly moved a few boxes. Enough for me to open the door. I darted inside the unknown room, shutting the metal door as I heard the basement door unlock.

I quickly diminished the light in my hand. Trying to steady my breathing. A faint orangish glow appeared behind me. And for the first I wondered what was in this room.

I turned around almost afraid of what I would find. It was a small, metal room. Held against the wall in a pentagram of powerful magic was a boy who looked to be about my age. He was held by chains, nails, magic and exorcist prayer sheets. He mouth and nose was covered by a metal mask, enchanted with magic letters. I watched the magic enchantments dance against the chains, walls and mask.

The magic that held him ment only one thing. He was a demon, a powerful demon. And how old the magic sang, he had been here for a very long time.

"So you finally come back to finish the job?" I heard a rough, muffled voice ask. It was the demon.

"Huh? Come back?" I asked softly knowing he could hear me. "I have never been down here."

His eyes glowed red as he raised an eyebrow. But he said nothing. I heard the hunters on the other side.

"This basement gives me the creeps. I highly doubt she is down here." One said. "The strong magic down here would make her leave. She summoned a low class demon so she won't be strong enough to stay down here."

"Yeah. But she hasn't left the school yet. No alarms had been triggered. Back up as arrived. We will find her."

I heard them leave. Shit. How was I escaping now?

"Summon a demon?" I heard the demon's muffled chuckle. "Has the wizards grown weak and stupid while I have been trapped down here? You clearly have summoned no demon."

He was trapped down here. Could I use that to my advantage? Make the deal they think I made?

"Demon." I said turning around. "Why are trapped down here?"

I heard a muffled growl. "I am no pathetic little demon, baby necro. I am King Yoongi."

The enchantments flared to life burning his skin. Hearing a hiss from him as he tried to calm his powers.

"King Jungkook is king of Hell" I whispered to myself. "King Yoongi was the King of Hell over 2,000 years ago. He was killed by Exorcist Rosemary."

"That beat took my thrown?!" He growled. "She didn't kill me. She sealed me here than built her damn school on top."

He pulled at the restraints.

I took a deep breath. "King Yoongi, I, Eris Le Fay, would like to make a deal."
