Chapter 2
I hurried towards Kimberly who seemed to be having a good conversation with the guy. Which made me happy that she was actually talking with an actual man for once in her life. Since, they were having a nice conversation, I didn't want to become a burden on them. So, I just told her that I'll be leaving early and we would talk about the issue tomorrow. She seemed to be very unhappy about me leaving early,but I arched her to stay and enjoy herself.
After the party, I headed home and ran upstairs to my room to blow some steam. I couldn't imagine that he would act like that in front of me. Its seemed like...he was ignoring me the whole entire time and it made me so mad. Furthermore, I was simply trying to be nice to him,but he sat their and was being rude by ignoring me. Moreover, he didn't even notice me and was being silent. To be honest, no man has ever disrespected me like that before and I don't enjoy it.
However, I didn't want to stay upset about this forever. Besides,my mother always told me that being upset or angry will only me age faster. Which I wouldn't want that to happen to me at such a young age and it would ruin my beauty. After letting some steam, I headed to bed early because the party was very tiring and I had to much alcohol.
The succeeding day, I got up early in the morning and headed down stairs for some breakfast. However, I noticed that everyone was gone including my mother. Usually, she didn't like to visit the company much because a lot of the employee's didn't like her. Which made me upset because she is my mother and she helped my dad build the company. But, it seemed like they don't like her,yet led me to think why.
After breakfast, I decided to call Kimberly and discuss the issue that happened last night. I don't ever leave my best friend out of my problems, because she ends up giving me advice. The good thing about Kimberly is that she would never judge me on anything. Which made me love and respect her even more than my old friends.
*Phones ring*
''Hello, this is Jessica speaking.'' I said
''Jessica, this is Kimberly not one of your customers or a business owner.'' she said laughing
''Oh? sorry! I've been working at the company for so long that it kind of got to me ,again.'' I said giggling
''Anyway, Their has been some juicy gossip going around lately about you and I want to be the first person to know. Also, a lot of elites have been talking about it lately even our parents as well.'' she stated excited
''What are you talking about? Me?'' I said curious
''You haven't heard? According to others, you're supposed to be marring Suga!'' she said excited
''Suga! Who the hell is Suga?'' I asked confused
''I don't really know myself,but the fact that you're getting married is more of a shock to me. Also, the fact that you don't know about it and have not told me is even more surprising. Maybe, you should talk to your parents about it,before discussing it further.'' she said calming
''Of course, I'm going to talk about with them because I don't want to just marry anyone. Especially, someone that I don't even know.'' I said back
''Good choice! If you hear anything then call me back and if I hear anything then I'll report back to you. Good luck,Jessica!'' she said back in support
*Hangs up*
It made me mad that my parents would have me get married without my consent. Furthermore, It was bad enough that I had no idea of it,yet my friend did. Plus, it was all over the news as well that I was getting married as well. I couldn't imagine my parents doing this to me at a time like this. Their was still things that I wanted to do in my short life as a teenager who has everything. On the other hand, I still felt like...I still wasn't ready to start a family yet.
Besides, I wanted to make my own decisions in my life not have it decide for me. They already decided that i'll be taken over the family business. Not only that,but what position I'm going to be working in the company as well. Now, they have the audacity to arrange my marriage for me. Their going to be in for a rude awakening when I talk to them about the issue at hand.
*At Fenty Rose*
I stomped over to the office, where my family was sitting and talking with two couples. They glanced at me in shock as if they had seen a ghost before their very eyes. I glanced at them in anger,yet to my surprise they probably got the memo that I was angry. However, Instead of addressing it privately, they sat me down next to them with a smile on their face.
Which led me to believe that my parents were indeed stupid then I had imagine. Furthermore, the two couple were staring at me with a big smile on their face. It made feel awkward because I didn't know them nor did they know me either. I even felt myself getting butterflies in my stomach,but I was still upset about the current situation.
They continued discussing business plans about the company. Ten minutes later, they started talking about the arrange marriage finally. I quickly glanced at my parents when they had signed the papers for the consent,which made me even more angry. My blood was boiling and my heart began to race with anger even more. Until, I couldn't take it anymore and had to defend myself.
''Enough! How can you two sit here and do this to me? Your beloved daughter,who has supported you and did as you asked of me.'' I said saddened
''What is the matter,Jessica?'' My mother said concerned
''What is the...matter? Let me tell you, I don't want to be married!'' I told them
''Why not honey?'' The two couples asked curiously
''Because, I feel like- I'm not ready,yet. I'm still pretty young and also their is still things I personally want to do.'' I answered back honestly
''I understand, but you'll get used to it. Me and my husband was arranged to married as well. Also, our son will treat you well,so their will be nothing to worry about.'' she said encouraging
''Who is your son, anyway?'' I asked hesitantly
''Come in, Suga'' They called
