It's been a few days since I saw Subin at the lantern festival. I wanted to go see her but I didn't want to look so desperate to be around her too much, besides, I'm just some young college student, I don't think she would want to establish some type of relationship with me. Anyways, I'm stuck trying to find my way to Jeongguk's English class...I was forced to go back to his classes by Hoseok, I only agreed because even though this isn't my body...nor life, I wouldn't want to mess anything up with Jeongguk's future. With the help of some students in this school, I finally arrived at the class, luckily I was still a bit early as there were only a few of students already in their seats going over their notes or socializing. When I walked in I felt the girls in the class staring at me as I made my way towards the back, is Jeongguk some kind of chic magnet like me? Shocking considering I'm more handsome than he is I lightly chuckled to myself.


I got out his notebook and pen from his backpack hoping to brush up on some English...I'm not that good at it...I don't want to humiliate myself in here, ugh, out of all bodies in this world I had to be in the body of a college student!?

When I opened his notebook I saw his neat handwriting, he had some English phrases written down but only maybe 2 or 3 pages full, the rest were doodles and random stuff written down. Great, I'm in a body of a slacker. Before closing his useless notebook something he wrote down caught my attention,

'Just a few more days left in this toxic world...can't wait. hah.'

Huh? What is that suppos-

"U-um,"


I looked up from my desk and saw a girl with long silky chocolate hair standing in front of me. She wasn't looking directly at me, just looking off to the side avoiding eye contact, I could see her blushing just a bit, "Uh, hey Jeongguk-ah, I...I was just, wanting to see if you were alright, you haven't been to class lately." She was very soft-spoken. "Uh...yeah, I'm okay, was just feeling under the weather for a bit I'm fine now, thank you for your concern," I replied, is this a friend of Jeongguk's?

Her eyes grew wide finally looking at me, was it something I said..or..? She slightly bowed with a big smile on her face and then she skipped to her seat which was 2 rows in front of me.

Well, that was weird.

The class was over after an hour and I must say, my brain is fried learning so much English, I'm just so glad it's my lunch period because I'm starving. I sat on a bench with my hamburger I bought at the cafeteria. I looked around admiring how beautiful this campus is, spring was beginning and blossoms were blossoming in the trees.

"Aye yo Jeongguk!"

I saw Hoseok coming up towards me with a sprite bottle in his hand, "mind if I join ya?" he smiled.

"of course."

"How was your first day back in class?" he lightly laughed

"It sucked because it was English...I hate knowing how terrible I am with it." "Terrible? Last time I checked you're pretty good at it."

I gulped.

Jeongguk? Good at English?

I nervously laughed taking a bite of my burger, "Yeah I..I meant uh, about plurals and, and, nouns and stuff...that's it."

He raised his eyebrows nodding agreeing with me, phew. I happened to turn my head and saw the same girl in Jeongguk's English class with the long hair walking with two other girls. They were all arm and arm walking by us, I notice how the girl was looking at me and then quickly dropped her gaze down to the ground when our eyes met, the tip of her ears were a bit red. What's with her?

"Ah, you two still okay with each other?" Hoseok asked watching them passing by,

"Huh, what? Who?"

He slightly laughs shaking his head taking a sip of his sprite, "You and Eunseo, no need to pretend."



That's her name?

"I mean I know you two broke up but it's obvious she's still into you."

Her? Jeongguk had a girlfriend?

"Ah, nevermind, it's not really my business," Hoseok says.

I'm still trying to process everything out, I'm clueless here, I don't know anything about this kid.

Hoseok then started talking about stuff that is probably related to Jeongguk, like the people he probably knows and some class assignments. I was halfway listening until my attention was caught...by her. Subin.

What is she doing here? She was walking around looking lost dressed in these leather knee-high high heel boots and a red off-shoulder sweater, she doesn't look like a teacher today. My God, she looks amazing...

Hoseok was mid-sentence until I cut him off, "H-hey, hey, I'll see you back at the dorm," I quickly say shoving the hamburger into his lap without looking and then taking off. "Yah! Jeongguk-ah!" He called after me.

I ran towards Subin who was observing the campus, "Subin!" I ran right up to here, her eyes grew big and then she lightly smiled looking relieved to see me, "Jeongguk."

"What are you doing here?" I asked trying not to sound too excited, but it's hard. I'm excited to see her.



"I'm stalking you," she replied, I gave her a confused look and then she laughed holding what looks like Jeongguk's school ID.

"I found this at my apartment, I think it might've fallen out of your wallet or something when you were cleaning," she says. "I would have called you but realized I don't have your number."

She handed me the ID. Is that the only reason why she came all the way up here to see me? To give a school ID back?

"Well uh, I'm..gonna go," she says awkwardly taking a step back.

"Noona," I said, it felt weird, she looked surprised I said it, "Want to um, go somewhere?"

"T-together?" She questioned, "What about school?"

I smirked holding my hand out for her, "Come."

She looks a bit hesitant, looking around most likely to see if anyone was watching before taking my hand. We both started taking off running out of the campus and for some reason laughing, it felt like...old times. Back when we were young, dumb and free.
