Chaeyoung’s POV
I would be lying if I said that I didn’t miss the past. But those days were over. Things changed…for good.

I saw Jungkook in front of the school. I had his gift ready, in my hands. But then, I saw a girl run into straight into his arms. It didn’t look like they just were just friends. The skinship was undeniable. They were dating. My breath got caught in my throat. I pulled my face mask back up and dropped the gift on ground. I turned around and left. The next day, I saw them together, arms linked. The girl smirked at me. Jungkook left the picture and it just left me and her.
She pulled a knife out of her bag and drew the blade across my arms. I couldn’t do anything to defend myself. My blood just dripped onto the floor. I held my breath as she slit my wrists. She then slowly dragged the blade against my neck. “This is only what you’re meant to be.” I found myself looking at myself on the floor, watching the pool of my blood just collect. I screamed. I woke up with cold sweat. It was only a dream. I’ve been having the same dream over and over for the past months and each time, it gets worse. Footsteps came running up the stairs. Jimin and Jungkook came busting through the door, with Momo behind them.
“What happened?”
“N-nothing. What are you doing here?”
“They came to check on you, Chae. To see how you’re doing.”
“I’m doing fine-”
“-Then why did you scream?” Silence.
“I..had..a bad dream.”
“The same one from last time?” asked Momo. I nodded.
“What dream?” I looked away.
“I’d rather not say.” I couldn’t tell him what it was.
“Can we just drop this? I’m fine now.”
“Why are you hiding from me?”
“I’m not.”
“You’re lying. You always disappear. We used to friends, remember? You don’t need to hide anything from me.” I balled up my fists. My nails dug into my skin.
“I think you should leave.”
“Why should I?”
“Because you’re right. We used to be friends.”
