Ever More

Maranda’s POV

I can’t believe Kat is doing this. Actually scratch that. I can. She is such an ass hole. Why can’t I take things at my own pace? No this bitch has to speed things up.

“So Sehun, how do you like the area?” She asks sitting across from him at the table.

“It’s really nice Ma’am.” He says to her.

“Oh you don’t have to call me ma’am. We are all friends here.” She says smiling while starting to eat.

I continue to stab my potatoes glaring at her as she just smiles. She then comes to terms that dinner isn’t working so she walks over to her IPod turning on music. She was on her Disney playlist and Be Our Guest from Beauty and the Beast starts playing.

“Be our Guest.” She starts singing to the song.

I lost control of myself for a moment too. “Put our service to the. Fuck You!” I yell at her when I realize I was singing. She knew I couldn’t control myself when it came to Disney songs. She of course just laughed. She continued singing the song hoping I would slip again.

“You better start eating before she gets bored with Maranda.” Xiumin says to Sehun.

He quickly picks up his fork and starts eating. Clearly he wanted the attention off him as much as he could.

“Maranda aren’t you hungry?” She asked me seeing I hadn’t done anything but stab my food. I stab a couple of green beans popping them in my mouth before continuing my assault.

Everyone finishes dinner, cleaning up when Once Upon a Dream from Sleeping Beauty comes on. Kat drops her plate grabbing Kris taking him into the ballroom to dance. The guys all laugh at her.

I then feel Luhan put his arm around my shoulders dragging me into the ballroom. “Come on! You know I can’t sing without you.” The rest of the guys guide Sehun in.

I cross my arms in front of my chest glaring at him as Kat and Kris dance.

“Come on! It’s fun and you love this song.” He says smiling at me.

I huff at him rolling my eyes before I start with the song. He picks up with the male parts to the song and before I realize it I’m full on singing with him. “I hate you guys.” I say when the song finishes.

“You haven’t seen the half of it yet.” Luhan says winking at me.

I give him a questioning look. The song then changes to one I was very familiar with and realized they were up to a whole slew of shit. He’s a Tramp from Lady and the Tramp started playing.

Kat comes up behind me singing then pushing me into Sehun. She was crafty I had to give her that. I see the defeated look on his face as he stretches out his hand for me to take it. I oblige him knowing things are just going to become worse if we don’t play along with her.

By the end of the song both of us were getting quite into it. It is a fairly short song though so the feeling quickly passed as well. I look over at Kat hoping she was done and we could all go about our own business. But of course she wasn’t. The next song starts to play.

“Hakuna Matata!” Kat yells out.

“What a wonderful phrase!” I cry out running over to her throwing my arm over her shoulder.

“Hakuna Matata!”

“Ain’t no passing craze!”

We then both start singing the song together. “It means no worries for the rest of your days. It’s our problem free, philosophy, hakuna matata!”

I then point at Luhan. “Why, when he was a young warthog!”

Luhan quickly came running over to us singing. “When I was a young warthog!”

We continued singing and dancing out like idiots as the song continued. By the time it was over we were all in tears. I look over seeing Sehun is even laughing at us. I listened to his laugh being absolutely mesmerized by the sound. I then feel Kat grab my arm breaking my trance. I then hear the song knowing why she grabbed me to come dance with her. It was her favorite one This is Halloween.

We walk over to the boys singing to them and enticing them to follow us as we dance out our routine. Luhan went over grabbing Sehun to join the rest of them. Each of the guys took over a line in the song.

Luhan of course going first. “I am the one hiding under your bed. Teeth ground sharp and eyes glowing red.” He even added his own little twist this time changing his eyes. Which sent Kat and I into a laughing fit.

“I am the one hiding under your stairs.” Tao sang. “Fingers like snakes and spiders in my hair.” He roughed both of our heads.

“I am the clown with the tear away face.” Lay sang to us. “Here in a flash and gone without a trace.”

“I am the “who” when you call who’s there.” Chen sang as he circled around us. “I am the wind blowing through your hair.”

“I am the shadow on the moon at night.” Xiumin covered our eyes with his hands from behind us singing. “Filling your dreams to the brim with fright.”

We all turn pointing to Kris as we sang the end. “Our man Jack is King of the pumpkin patch. Everyone Hail to the Pumpkin King, Now!” He politely put one arm behind him then waving his other hand in a circle as he bowed to us.

We all were laughing again when the song ended. This was definitely the most fun we have had for a while. Next up was Girl Worth Fighting For. The boys all get into a line dragging Sehun with them. They started marching in place Sehun caught on quick with their movements and went with it. I was laughing so hard at the sight of him.

Luhan then broke form the group singing. “Hey! Thank of instead a girl worth fighting for!”

Kat and I went along with it. “Huh?”

“That’s what I said! A girl worth fighting for.” He then comes over to Kat putting an arm around her. “I want her paler than the moon.” Then to me. “With eyes that shine like stars.”

Kat and I were then pulled away from Luhan by Xiumin. “My girl with marvel at my strength!” He says lifting us up in each arm. “Adore my battle scares.”

Chen then comes over twirling us away from him. “I couldn’t care less what she looks like. It all depends on what she cooks! Like beef, pork, chicken. Mmmm.”

The boys then turn their attention to Sehun. Tao singing. “I bet the local girls thought you were quite the charmer.”

Luhan went behind him putting his arms up in a masculine position. “And I bet the ladies love a man in armor!”

They all started singing together again. And to my surprise even Sehun. Kris started joining them for the next line singing to Kat. “I’ve a girl back home that’s unlike any other.”

Lay came over to me. “Yet the only girl who’d love him is his mother.” We all start laughing. When Kris gives him a glare. All of the guys then one by one passing Kat and I around dancing as they sing the end of the song. Sehun being the last one to grab me.

I stood breathless in his arms trying to contain my laughter. I see Luhan whisper something to Kat before he walks over to the IPod picking a song. I stayed in Sehun’s arms watching him. I then here what song he wanted and couldn’t help but laugh.

It was Kiss The Girl from the Little Mermaid. He starts singing to it walking over to us circling. I thought I actually saw Sehun blush for a moment before he looked away. He then clears his throat and looks at me. “Are your friends always this, determined?” He asks laughing.

“Oh you haven’t seen the half of what they are capable of.” I say laughing.

For the chorus they all are circling us each time the line “Kiss the girl” came up they would rush behind Sehun saying it in his ear. Which only made both of us laugh. They really were putting in their efforts for this song to be it.

I noticed the song was about to be over and started getting nervous if he was going to. I didn’t even know if I wanted him to or not. The song came to an end. Before either of us had time to respond the next song was on. I look over seeing Kris had saved me.

I breathe a sigh of relief then realize what song it was. I Won’t Say I’m In Love from Hercules. I took this as my opportunity to tell Kat to politely fuck off. I started singing to it looking right at her. She got my hint but played it off singing the chorus with the boys taunting me.

We all danced around each other as we sang. At the end of the song Kat pushed me back into Sehun for my last line. I looked up at him seeing him watching me. With a shaky voice I sang the last line. “At least out loud. I won’t say I’m in love.”

He got the hint that I was still afraid of him. His eyes turn serious as they stared down at me. Kat was getting tired of her game not working so she turned on the one song I could never resist having feelings during. Tale as Old as Time from Beauty and the Beast.

I look over at her in almost disbelief. She wasn’t playing anymore. She meant business. She walked over taking Kris to dance with her. The guys all moved away from us. I looked back up at Sehun who still hadn’t taken his eyes from me.

I put my hand on his shoulder and the other one in his. He takes my hint and starts leading us into a waltz. In that moment I realized there was no hiding how I was feeling. Even though he terrified me to no end. I wanted to be with him too.

We continued spinning in the ballroom matching Kris and Kat’s movements. When it got to the lift at the end of the song he did it flawlessly. I looked down at him trying to keep my composure. I didn’t want the moment to end. When the song did come to an end he carefully set me back down.

I looked up at him trying to stay calm. “Walk me home?” I asked him.

He almost seemed surprised at my question but didn’t hesitate to take me. Everyone smiled at us as we left the ballroom. Their work here was done.

We walk up the steps to my house stopping at the door. “I never did thank you.” I say turning around to him.

“For what?” He asks confused.

“Saving me.” I say lightly laughing. “It was very brave of you.”

“I don’t want anything to happen to you.” He says pushing a stray hair behind my ear.

“I’m also sorry for how I have acted. And how my friends are.” I say laughing about them.

He starts laughing too. “They sure are something else.”

“So. Umm. Are you still planning on just passing through?” I ask him looking up at him.

He then gets a playful smile while looking away from me. “I guess I could stick around for a bit.” He then glances down at me.

I start laughing at him. “Well. It’s getting late. I better go to bed.”

“Have a good night.” He says starting to walk away.

“See you tomorrow?” I ask him before he gets to the steps.

“Yeah. If that’s what you want.” He says turning around. I nod my head at him. He then turns back around walking down the steps.

“Sehun!” I call after he takes the last stair. I walk over standing on the porch making us eye level. “Kiss the girl.”

He walks back up the last step to be closer. Carefully he takes my face in his hands kissing me slowly and passionately. I put my hands on his wrists keeping his on my face. When he breaks the kiss he rests his forehead on mine.

“Good night.” He says breathless smiling at me.

“Good night.” I say smiling back at him. He turns around walking back into the forest. I stayed outside watching him until he was out of sight before going inside.

I walk in seeing Kat and Luhan both sitting on my couch. “How the hell?” I ask looking around. “When did you guys get here? I was at the door the whole time.”

“We have our ways.” Kat says smiling at me. Luhan’s smile matched hers.

“So girl talk?” He asks me excitedly.

“You guys are ridiculous.” I say rolling my eyes and flopping onto the couch with them. “What did you guys see and hear?”

“All of it. Even the “Kiss the girl” line.” Kat says laughing.

“Fuck off!” I yell at her laughing. “It was a good line and you know it.”

“Perfect line!” Luhan says laughing.

“Couldn’t have thought of a better one.” Kat says laughing. I roll my eyes at them. “So why didn’t he stay?” She adds nudging me.

“I didn’t ask him to.” I say bluntly.

“You are no fun!” Luhan says putting his head on my shoulder.

“Yeah and I’m about to be less fun. Get out of my shack I’m going to bed.” I say laughing.

They both groan at me getting off the couch. I laugh at them as they walk out of the door heading back to the house. I get into bed lying there thinking about Sehun. Sleep for one was not happening tonight.

Sehun’s POV

I walked through the forest going back to my cave. The whole night running through my head. Good to know Kris wasn’t going to kill me. And that Maranda is starting to accept me.

Realization started sinking in though. Sehun, what are you doing? You can’t stay here long. They’re coming. Maybe they gave up. I can’t leave her. If you don’t leave you know what will happen. This isn’t some random girl. This is the girl. I shut the little voice in my head up undressing before changing. I needed to give those back to Kris.

I flopped down on the ground rolling onto my side. My shoulder wasn’t hurting as much anymore since Lay had fixed it up. I fell asleep quickly thinking about her and our kiss.
