Ever More

I hear the boys come back in after a couple hours. The house was a wreck at this point from my searching.

“Maranda?” I hear Kris ask. I come walking out of the kitchen with the utensils still in my hands.

“Yes?”

They see what is in my hands and get even more confused. “What are you doing?”

“Looking for some fucking silver in this damn house!” I say turning going back in the kitchen.

“Umm. You know we don’t have any.” Kris says walking into the kitchen with Luhan close behind.

I throw the utensils back into the drawer slamming it shut. “Of course there isn’t!”

“Maranda.” Luhan sighs at me wrapping me in a hug. “We need to talk about this.”

“No. We don’t need to talk.” I say calmly. “I just need to go to town.” I start walking to the door before being stopped by both of them.

“You are not going into town until we talk.” Luhan says standing in front of me.

Kris sighs knowing they aren’t getting anywhere. He turns from the door going into his and Kat’s bedroom. “Get some sleep guys.” He says before shutting the door.

“Let’s play a game.” Luhan says with a mischievous grin.

“What game?” I ask skeptically.

“Poker. If you win, I will take you anywhere you want to go. If I win, you give up on your silver mission. But we talk about this while we are playing.” He says crossing his arms in front of his chest.

“Deal.” I say turning to go into the dining room. I grab the cards from the drawer while he gets the chips.

He starts sorting them out while I shuffle the deck. I send out our first hands. Pair of eights. I throw in my bet being followed by him. We both sit silently during the flop. After our second bets he started in.

“We went to meet him.” Luhan said looking up at me from his cards.

“Hm.” I said displeased.

“Kris said he isn’t to come here or near the two of you.” He said still not taking his eyes from my face.

I almost got a sad feeling from his words but pushed it away. “Good. I don’t want to be near him.” I said shaking my head.

“Well he did save you.” He says throwing in chips. “Maybe he isn’t bad.”

“He’s a rogue. Doesn’t bad come with it?” I say sternly.

“He told Kris why he doesn’t have a pack.”

“Which I’m sure wasn’t the truth.” I say huffing.

“Actually it was. He didn’t agree to fighting the war his alpha was starting.”

He didn’t want to fight? I thought to myself. I tried getting the question out of my head. “Well it isn’t like he was very personable. He didn’t even introduce himself.”

“Sehun.”

“What?”

“His name. Sehun.”

“Well he didn’t ask for mine either.”

“Not to you.” He said with a smirk. “He asked me. I’m pretty sure he thought you belonged to me.” He then says laughing.

“Why you?” I scoffed.

He gave me a look as if to be hurt by my attitude. “Probably because it was me to come find you.” He got another smirk on his face. “He was pretty happy to find out you weren’t.”

I ended up with three eights. “Alright show ‘em.” I say flipping over my cards.

“Two aces. You win.” He then starts gathering up the chips putting them away. “Where do you want to go?”

I stand up from the table walking to the door with Luhan right behind me. I pause before opening the door making my decision. I start walking to the entrance of the forest where my path was. He changes behind me then scooping me onto his back. He turns his head looking at me waiting my instructions.

“Are you going to make me say it?” I ask rudely. I feel his body lightly vibrate from laughter before he starts running. Every few minutes he would sniff the air making sure he was still going in the right direction. We ended up at the entrance to a cave. I get off his back standing.
He changes back into human form. “Well?” I asked him not sure why we weren’t going in or anything.

“Wait.” He says laughing.

I turn back to the entrance hearing footsteps. I then see him walk out in wolf form. I hadn’t realized how big he was the first time. He stood a whole 6 feet easy. I started getting that same feeling again. I didn’t try as hard to push it away. He then changes to being human. I then see a few things I hadn’t noticed the first time again. Which was alarming to say the least. He was covered in scares other than his face. Obviously from fights with other creatures. The most prominent being the claw marks across his chest. No wonder he was so reluctant to change in front of me.

“Sehun! Good to see you again.” Luhan said breaking the silence. “You remember Maranda.” He says lightly pushing me over toward him.

He then clears his throat. “Hello.” He says looking down.

“Maranda, you remember Sehun.” Luhan says before going behind him then pushing him towards me.

“Hello. Again.” I say looking down as well.

“So, Sehun?” Luhan says to him making him look up from the ground. “Is there something you want to tell Maranda?” He asks nudging him while glancing at me with a smile on his face.

“Umm.” He says looking back down rubbing the back of his neck.

“Oh come on. We all know.” Luhan says nudging him again with his smile growing.

He clears his throat again before looking at me. “You’re my. Umm. My mate.”

I breathe in deeply trying to think of how to respond. I couldn’t come up with anything other than, “Of course I am.”

“Now Maranda.” Luhan says disapproving. “We can sound a little happier then that now can’t we?”

I shoot him a glare not wanting to deal with his jokes. “I don’t know what to say.” I say to Luhan.

“I’m sorry.” Sehun says breaking my glare at Luhan.

I turn looking at him seeing that he is staring at the ground again. I breathe out. “Don’t be.” I then take in a breath. “It isn’t something you control. I know that.”

“See! We can all get along now can’t we?” Luhan says throwing an arm around each of us.

“Now! Let’s talk.” He says shaking us. “You know get to know each other.” He then pulls us over to some large rocks. “Sit.” He pushes me down onto one. Sehun sat down on the other rock while Luhan sat on the ground staring at us.

“We better come up with something or he is going to for us.” I say to Sehun.

He nervously laughs. He then gets a worried look on his face then stands up. “I’m not supposed to be near you.” He says to me.

I then stand up facing him. “Kris meant without my permission.” I said crossing my arms. “He knew how freaked I was when I got back to the house.”

“I’m sorry. I should go.” He says walking away before turning.

I watched as he started running off.

“Should we follow then?” Luhan says to me before turning.

“No. Take me back.” I say getting on him.

Kat’s POV

I woke up to Kris getting in bed. I look at the clock seeing it was five in the morning. “What have you been up to?” I ask snuggling closer to his chest.

“We have a new guest.” He says reluctantly.

“Dragon?” I ask excitedly.

He then laughs at me. “You wish.”

“Damn. Then what is it?”

“A rogue werewolf.” He breathes out. “And I’ll give you one guess as to who his mate is.”

“No way! Maranda?”

“Oh yeah.”

“Has she went psycho bitch yet?”

“Not quite.” He says laughing at me again. “Luhan and I went to talk to him. He isn’t to come near the two of you or the houses. Maranda is still processing. When she gets a clear mind I’ll lift it.”

We’ll see about that. I fall back to sleep with him.

I wake up hearing someone in the kitchen at ten. I decide to get out of bed leaving Kris to keep sleeping. I walk into the kitchen seeing Luhan making cereal. Clearly he had just woken up and didn’t get much sleep.

“Hey.” He says groggily to me.

“Good morning sunshine!” I say loudly to him. He just grunts at me sitting down to eat. “Oh are you not going to be fun today?” I ask pretending to pout. “That’s ok. I’ll just invite the rogue to dinner by myself then.” I say starting to leave the room.

He then jumps up from his seat standing in front of me. “Oh my God! Kris told you!” He says jumping happily.

“Shh! You’re going to wake Maranda!” I say realizing she was asleep on the couch. “It’s easier without her and you know it.”

“She made progress last night though. After Kris went to bed we went back out to talk to him.”

“And she didn’t run away?”

“No. She ran after he saved her from the mountain lion.” He says walking back to his cereal.

“Wait. What?” I ask sitting across from him.

He looks up at me confused. “Kris didn’t tell you?” I shake my head. “Well last night when she went for her walk I guess she wasn’t paying attention and got attacked. He saved her. Kris sensed him so he sent me to go bring her back. When she heard me howling she came running. I didn’t know about the lion until I was in the woods. I just thought there was a rogue. He’s not that bad though. Doesn’t really say much.”

I roll my eyes. “Of course! Maranda loves her brick walls.” We both start laughing. “Finish eating. I’m going to get a bag together and some clothes for him.” I stand to start leaving. “Who would he be close to in size?”

Luhan starts laughing. “Kris.”

“Perfect!” I say running to my room. I grab some nice jeans, a white button up, boxers and sneakers throwing them into a bag. I then go into the bathroom getting shampoo and body soap. Luhan is waiting for me at the door when I come back out after dressing myself.

“Oh I know you two aren’t going without me.” I hear a voice say behind us. I turn to see Lay standing there with a bag of his own. “He fought a mountain lion. There is no way he isn’t hurt.” He says handing me the bag.

“Let’s head out then.” Luhan says rushing us out of the house before Maranda or Kris woke up.
We walk a few feet into the forest before the boys change. I get onto Luhan’s back holding the bags.

Sehun’s POV

From the pain in my shoulder from the lion and thinking about Maranda I didn’t get any sleep. I continued lying on the ground in the cave. Why did I leave last night? She actually seemed like she wanted to be around me. And neither of them seemed too worried about Kris getting upset.
I then smell two wolves approaching. Luhan was one of them but I hadn’t met the other one yet. Oh shit! Kris’s mate was with them.

“Sehun?” I hear a female voice calling from outside.

Maybe there is another exit in here. I start looking around for some shifted rocks or something but to no avail. Ok. It’s fine. I’ll just stay right here. I then hear footsteps getting closer. NO! She wouldn’t!

“Sehun! So good to meet you! I’m Kat.” She says once she is in front of me. Luhan and the other wolf right behind her in human form. “Oh now come on. Change! Let’s get a good look at you.” She says waving her hands at me. I oblige not knowing how to get myself out of this one.
“Luhan you were right! Kris’s clothes should fit him just fine! Now you go find a stream. Lay fix those wounds.” She then hands over one of the bags to him.

“Oh. No really, I’m fine Ma’am.” I say to her.

“Nonsense! I can’t have you getting an infection. You are my best friend’s mate after all.”

Lay walks over applying different things to me to make sure it was clean. I don’t say anything knowing he is just following her orders. I then see Luhan walk back in.

“Found one! Just on the other side of those trees.”

“Good! Now take him to get cleaned up.” She then hands the other bag to him.

“Cleaned up?” I ask confused even more.

She then turns to me. “Well you can’t come to dinner looking like that now can you?”

“Oh, I don’t think I should.” I say trying to get out of it. “I don’t think your mate would like it.” Trying to remind them of the rules he gave me, knowing I was probably going to already die.

“We don’t worry about him.” She says to me before pushing me out of the cave. “Now go! Go get cleaned up. Luhan has clothes for you to put on too.”

I reluctantly follow behind him. “Is she always like this?” I ask once we are out of ear shot.

He starts laughing. “Yeah. She is always getting into trouble. Kris has pretty well given up when it comes to the shit she does. So we just go with if Kris says no and Kat says yes it’s easier to go with Kat.” He starts pulling stuff from the bag. “Shampoo and body wash.” He says indicating the bottles.

I take both of them. “I know what they are.” I say rolling my eyes. “I may live in the forest but I know basic hygiene.”

He starts laughing while pulling more things from the bag. I wash up quickly waiting my next instructions. Luhan hands me a towel to dry off then the clothes.

“I can’t wear these.” I say handing them back. “They are your alpha’s clothes.”

“Well he is the closest one to your size.” He says pushing them back. “What Kat says goes remember?”

I huff at them before putting on the clothes. “Are you guys done yet?” I hear Kat yell to us.

“Just got dressed.” Luhan says back to her.

She then comes walking over. “Good. Looks nice! Maranda is going to love it. Now hair.” She says getting the brush out of the bag. She then snaps her fingers pointing to a rock. “Sit!” I do as instructed. She brushes out my hair then parting it. She gave a disapproving look then ruffled it a little with her fingers. “That’ll do.” She says gathering everything back up. “Come on guys lets head back to the house.”

Since they had already dressed me we all walked back to the house in human form. I couldn’t believe I was actually about to break another big rule. We walk into the clearing I couldn’t believe the size of the house. Not far from it was a second one. It was more my style. Small. It looked like there was maybe only one room in it.

We walk into the mansion. I see Maranda sitting on the couch reading. She then looks up seeing the four of us. She slams her book shut. “You have got to be kidding? Kris! Come see what your mate did now.”

He then walks out of a room not looking up from his papers. “Kat what did you-“ He then cuts himself off looking up to see us.

“I brought a dinner guest!” She say happily. “Chen! Prepare a feast! We have a guest tonight.”

“Nope.” Kris says to himself shaking his head before leaving the room.

Chen then pears around a corner. “Well this is new.” He says before going into the kitchen to cook.

“Xiumin! Tao! Come meet our guest.” Kat yells up the stairs.

Two guys come running down pushing each other. Their expressions change when they see me. The shorter one starts talking to the taller one. “Well Tao. I guess she has finally lost it.”

“Kris is going to kill you.” Tao says to Kat.

“I’d love to see him try. Now Sehun!” She says grabbing my arm. “You sit here.” She says putting me to a spot on the table. “And Maranda, sit here.” She says pushing Maranda in the chair next to me.
