Ch 1 He's a Tramp

I left my shack in the clearing of the forest to go for my nightly walk. Kat owned most of the forest. Her family had owned it since they moved to the area back when the Americas were being established. After her grandparents died they left the land and the mansion in the forest to her.

The shack I lived in was once the slave quarters. I loved it. It was in the middle of nowhere and no one ever bothered me out here. And it was the perfect size for me. I hated how flashy the mansion was that Kat lived in.

I walked passed the mansion seeing some of the boys running around outside. Kat lived in the mansion with her boyfriend. Or, I guess mate? Kris was the alpha to an all-male werewolf pack. Luhan saw me walking by and ran up to me.

“Hey, Maranda! Where we going?” He asked once he was next to me.

“Just going for my walk.”

“Want a tag along?”

“No it’s ok. I just want time to be alone with my thoughts.” I say sighing. “Join me tomorrow?”

“Works for me! Have fun.” He says before turning around to chase after the other boys.

I see Kat and Kris walk out the door. I wave to them as I walk into the trees. I put my ear buds in turning on my music. It wasn’t long before I was dancing to the music as I walked down the path. I hadn’t noticed the mountain lion was following me until it jumped in front of me. I ripped my ear buds out turning running. I couldn’t believe I left my gun at home. I ended up in front of a giant rock wall in the side of the hill. I turn around to find another way to go seeing the lion crouching to attack me. I took out my knife knowing it was my only chance of getting out of this alive. Why hadn’t I let Luhan come with me?

The lion leaped at me. Instead of it reaching me though a huge wolf came out of the trees knocking it away. I thought it was Kris from the black fur but quickly realized I didn’t know this wolf. From his size I knew it was a werewolf though.

I stood there frozen watching them fight. The lion had gotten a few good claws into him at one point making me think this was going to be it. But he ripped him off throwing him into a tree by his neck. The wolf stood crouched growling at him as he ran away admitting defeat.

I started feeling almost a calming sensation wipe over me but pushed it away when the wolf turned his attention to me. The grip on my knife became stronger as he stood watching me.
“I know what you are!” I yelled at him. “Why are you here?”

He took a step back from me to give me more space before changing. He stood still watching my every move. “I’m just passing through.”

“Where is your pack?” I ask realizing he said only he was passing through and no one else was showing up.

“I.” He says hesitating. “I don’t have one.”

This worried me even more. I was used to packs passing through frequently. They would come to the house introducing themselves to Kris so he would know they understood the rules of this county and intended on obeying them. Never had there been a rogue though.

He started taking a few steps towards me. I felt the calming come over me again before quickly pushing it away. “What do you want?” I asked holding up the knife knowing full well it was going to do nothing in this situation.

He was right at the end of the blade. His hard eyes seemed to soften as he continued to look at me. “I don’t know.” Was all he said.

“The alpha to this territory will not be happy knowing you are here without understanding how we work. You should leave.” I still hadn’t dropped my harsh tone even though it was beginning to be difficult to push away the calm feeling.

I then hear a howl in the distance recognizing Luhan. He must be wondering if I was alright and started looking for me. Kris must have felt the rogue was here. I lowered the knife running in his direction. I see him sniffing the ground where the lion jumped in front of me then turning to see me. He lowers down for me to jump on his back before taking us back to the mansion. We enter the clearing so he stopped for me to get down to change back.

“Are you ok?” He asked looking all over me and sniffing. “What happened? Kris smelled a rogue so he sent me to get you. I wasn’t expecting to smell a lion too.” He asked very worried.

“I’m fine.” I say trying to calm him down. “But I need to talk to Kris.”

He takes my wrist going into the house watching all around us for anything to jump out. I see Kris sitting on the couch. He must not have told Kat what was going on. I see their bedroom door shut which meant she was asleep. He got a relieved look on his face when we came in. He stood up coming over to me sniffing as he checked me.

“Kris this isn’t necessary.”

“Luhan go.” He says to him. Luhan quickly left the room going to his upstairs.

“Kris something happened out there and I don’t know what to think.” I say starting to freak out.

“What happened?” I knew he smelled the rogue on me so I could tell his tone was unhappy.

“I was listening to my music and didn’t notice the lion following me until it was right there. I ran but got trapped. Right before it attacked me he showed up knocking it out of the way. I thought it was you at first because of his black fur.” I stopped there still not sure how to explain the rest of it.

“What else?” He asked seeing the look on my face.

“I asked him a few questions figuring out he was a rogue. I kept getting a calming feeling though but pushed it out of my mind. Then I heard Luhan and just ran.”

“Did he tell you anything?”

“What do you mean?” I ask confused.

“Nothing. Don’t worry.” He says smiling at me while putting his hand on my shoulder to calm me. “Luhan!” He shouts up the stairs. He quickly comes back down following Kris out the door. “If Kat wakes up looking for me tell her I won’t be gone long.”

I nod my head at him as he walks out the door. I then turn to the rest of the house looking everywhere for anything silver to melt down.

Rogue’s POV

I walked through the forest looking for a place to sleep for the night. I couldn’t get my mind off her. Maranda. That’s who the other wolf was calling for. I don’t even know if that was her or not. I lied down in a cave staying in wolf form. The smell of her still lingered in my nose. I don’t know how she doesn’t have a mate already. I smelled six wolves on her. All of them equally and she didn’t have a mark. Why would she be with a pack then? And enough so that she didn’t even hesitate knowing what I was.

I then smell two wolves approaching. One was definitely the alpha. I stood up walking out of the entrance to the cave seeing them waiting for me. The alpha was black while the other was slightly smaller and dark brown.

“What is your business here?” The alpha asked me.

“I was just passing through.” I say lying down in front of him.

“Do you know our rules?” He asks sitting. The other one following his lead.

I move to sitting. “No sir. I haven’t been in this area or heard of it.”

“This is a no man’s land. No one is to harm any creature’s exceptions being self-defense. Wolves are not allowed in town no exceptions. You may also not go into the clearing with the two houses. Or go near the two human girls that reside in them. One of them in my mate. If you go near her it means death. Breaking any of the rules may lead to death.”

“Yes sir.” I say lowering my head.

“Why are you alone?”

“I left my pack.”

“Why?”

“I didn’t agree with my alpha. He was ruthless to anything. He was starting a war that was uncalled for. So I left.”

“I’m Kris.” He says to me standing up to leave.

“Luhan.” The other one says. I recognize him as the other wolf from before.

I couldn’t control myself and had to ask. “Wait!” I say standing up. They both turn to look at me.

“If I may. Who is the other human girl?” Kris turns to Luhan before he starts walking away. Luhan then comes up to me. She must be his.

“Why do you want to know?” He asks me in almost a happy tone.

I look at him confused. “Does she, belong to someone?” I ask hopeful she doesn’t.

“Sounds like she does now.” He says happily again before turning to follow Kris.

“What’s her name?” I shout after him.

“Maranda.” He says stopping. “And you?”

“Sehun.”

Seriously, I adore this story.
Chapter 7 ended on such a cliff-hanger!! XDD

wHAT, HE LEFT?!
OK, I usually don't read werewolf AUs, in fact I detest them with a passion because they're done horribly wrong way too often. However, this isn't half bad, I'm enjoying it, oddly enough. I have found numerous grammatical errors, but the general plot and fluency is respectable. ^w^ I'd give this a 7/10 because of fluency and the presence of realistic character actions and reactions, but it's missing one point for grammar, one point for the feeling of the story being rushed, and a third point for the very sudden sex scene. I'm not complaining, it was done well, but again, there was no substantial buildup to it. I don't mean for you to change your writing style drastically, but adopting a few new techniques would improve this story a lot!
I anticipate the next chapter!
