It was the summer of 2009, the little 13 years old Jimin was running down the roads...
He looked calm but you could see... That strong feeling of fear in his eyes...
Just about 10 minutes ago he got a call from his uncle that his family got into a car accident...
He didn't care about what's going to happen... He ran out of the training room and sprinted to the hospital as fast as he can...
Is his family still living? Dad already has breathing problem and mom's legs are not good... And little Jinam... She's only 11...
She must be freaked out... Jimin has all the thoughts in his mind to keep him alert.. What could possibly happen that caused all of his family to be carried to the hospital? They were only driving to Bighit entertainment building to pick him up for the training...
"Ama, Appa, Jinam... Don't worry... I'm coming..." Jimin said to himself, while trying hard to hold the tears in his eyes.
Grandpa told him that a real boy should never cry... Jimin is a strong boy... Ever since he starts to remember things, he never dropped a single tear...
Jimin's new flip phone started ringing... It was a call from Taehyung, his other trainee friend.
"Tae... Taehyung-ah..." Jimin said quietly.
"Jimin! Are you okay? What happened? Where did you go?" Taehyung shouted from the other side of the phone.
[Beep beep] Jimin hung up, he threw his phone into his pocket and starts to run even faster... Jimin thinks that making his body tired will prevent him from crying...
He's only 13... He should be at home enjoying his teenage years and hang out with friends his age... But why... Does he has to suffer from all this?...
People on the streets stared at Jimin as if he has gone mad, some whispered, "What is that child doing?"
"He's as fast as hell!"
"Omo! He scared me!"
Jimin didn't care... Of course... At moments like this he couldn't hear anything... Only his hard breathing and his heavy footsteps...
Jimin stopped right in front of the hospital and ran inside, he asked the nurse where his parents were and the nurse led him to his uncle.
"Uncle Park!" Jimin shouted as he ran to his uncle.
"Hole on there Jimin... How long have you been running?" Uncle Park patted Jimin's back.
Jimin shook his head, sweats came off, his face was bright red from the running, "Not that far... Just from the Bighit building..."
"Oh my... Child... You must be tired let me get you water-"
Jimin interrupted, "Where are my parents and Jinam?"
"Jimin... I..." Uncle Park hesitated.
The doctor walked to Uncle Park and cleared his throat, "Sir, should we move the bodies to the morgue now?"
BOOM.... Jimin's mind went blank... Morgue?... That can't be... Mom, dad and Jinam were exactly fine just last week when he last saw them...
They couldn't possibly be put in the morgue!! That's for dead people... But mom and dad.... Jinam... She's only 11... She haven't even lived half of her life yet...
Tears were running inside his eyes... No... He can't let them drop....
"Jimin-ah...." Uncle Park said softly.
"Where are they?!" Jimin yelled, "WHERE ARE THEY I WANT TO SEE THEM!"
"Jimin... I know this is hard... But..." Uncle Park tries to comfort him.
"WHY?!" Jimin shouted, he's trying to control his emotions but he just can't... Tears were on the edge of his eyes... They were going to fall any moment...
Jimin clenched his fist... He need to calm down... But... How?!
"Jimin-ah... I'm sorry... But your parents are no longer here... Dae Ham(Jimin's dad) is my hyung! I also misses him! But Jimin I don't want you to be sad!" Uncle Park said.
"Did you say my parents?" Jimin asked, he didn't mention Jinam... She was his last hope...
"Yes..."
"Where's Jinam?" Jimin asked, alerted.
"Jinam... She's in the other room... We don't know if she can wake up or not... It depends on the person..."
"Which room?!" Jimin shouted, again... He lost his temper, "WHICH ROOM?! I NEED TO SEE HER!"
"That one on the right... Tell the doctor before you go in..." Uncle Park gave up.
Without any hesitation, Jimin walked straight to the door... His sister is living... He still has hope... He can't give up...
"I need to see my sister." Jimin said coldly to the doctor.
"Mr. Park Jimin?" The doctor asked.
Jimin nodded, "Please let me in."
The doctor opened the door for Jimin and Jimin walked in quickly.
There she was.... Jimin's beloved sister... The most precious person to Jimin... Lying there... Looking as pale as a sheet of paper...
Jimin bend down tenderly, he lets his finger to touch Jinam's pale face... It was cold... But still has a temperature to me...
At this moment Jimin wasn't sure how long that temperature was going to last...
"Jinam-ah..." Jimin said as he smiled at his sister, she's looking as pretty as usual, but he couldn't see her beautiful black eyes.
"Oppa is here... Open your eyes and look at oppa... Okay?" Jimin said, sounding like as if nothing has happened... He didn't want to spill out all of the sad news right now... All he wants was her sister to wake up...
Jinam didn't respond, instead she lied there and said nothing... As if she was dead...
"Jinam... Oppa misses you... I haven't seen you in a week... Please wake up and let's talk okay?" Jimin said, his voice sounding kind of vivid.
Once again, tears were waiting in his eyes to come out, Jimin needs to control it... He has too... Or else... Yeah... Nothing will happen... How about he just let it out for once...
For the first time in 13 years (not including baby times), Jimin lets a single drop of tear come out... As he kept on talking with Jinam and hearing no response, more tears came out... Until he couldn't stop it...
"Jinam-ah!" Jimin cried, "Chiebai! Just wake up... I can't live without you!"
Yes... He couldn't... Maybe he can live without his mom, maybe his dad... But... It's impossible when it comes to Jinam...
Jimin didn't realize how long he's been in that room with Jinam... He didn't know who came into the room and who went out... He was just there... Hands held tight to Jinam's... Giving her all the strength he had...
He fell asleep... Without knowing it himself...
Suddenly someone tapped Jimin, which had waken him up from his dream... or nightmare...
"Jimin?" It was the doctor.
"Yes, doctor?" Jimin asked politely.
"Your sister... She's moving..." Doctor said.
Jimin turned around to look at Jinam... Surprisingly, she is moving... Very slowly and weakly...
"Ji.... Jimin..." Jinam said softly.
"Jinam-ah!" Jimin squeezed her hands, "Can you hear me? Can you see me?"
"Jimin... You're here?... What happened...." Jinam said weakly.
"Oppa is here... Don't worry... Everything will be fine..." Jimin said, this time he used "will" instead "is".
"Can... can you turn on the lights? I can't see..." Jinam said quietly.
Jimin looked around the room, even though it was 9 o'clock at night, but all lights were on.
"What do you mean? It's bright in here..." Jimin starts to worry.
"But its dark for me... I can't see anything..." Jinam said.
The doctor walked to her and began checking on her eyes. After around 2 minutes, the doctor turned to Jimin.
"Jimin-ah... I'm sorry... But your sister... She seemed to..." The doctor paused.
"WHAT (informal)?!" Jimin shouted again, "I mean... What happened to her?! (formal)"
"She seemed to... Lost her vision..." The doctor said.
"NO SHE CAN'T BE!! She has the best vision in the family..." Jimin said, how could this happen?!
"Oppa..." Jinam said hopelessly, "I can still see some lights..."
"But Jinam! You can't see me anymore!" Jimin said, "Or my team mates, you've never met any of them! And there's just so much more to see! This can't be happening..."
"Jimin-ah..." Jinam said, she's devastated inside, but trying to act natural for her brother to feel better, "I still have memories..."
Jimin clenched his fists again, there's something he needs to do, "Who's the owner of the other car that caused this accident?"
The doctor said, "Mr. Yoon, he passed away already, along with his daughter..."
Died?.... So there's nothing we can do about it... What possibly happened that caused this?! What did his parents do? What did Jinam do? That they need to receive a punishment like this?! Jimin wish he was the one blind instead of Jinam, he wished he had died for his parents...
"How's Ama and Appa?" Jinam asked innocently.
Uncle Park walked in, surprised to see that Jinam woke up, "Jinam-ah, look uncle brought your flowers... Aren't they pretty?"
Jinam smiled, "Thank you uncle Park... But... I can't see them..."
"What do you mean? They're right here." Uncle Park looked confused.
The doctor whispered something in Uncle Park's ears, Uncle Park's face grew dark.
"Should we tell her?" Jimin asked.
Uncle Park nodded, "Let me do it..."
[2 weeks later]
"Jinam.... Careful..." Jimin said while holding her sister so she won't fall, "Let me carry you..."
"No its okay." Jinam said, "I've got to learn how to walk by myself eventually..."
Jimin sighed, Jinam has gone through a lot... But how can a little 11 year old girl... Be so strong?
Maybe this just ran down from the family, every child were strong and didn't cry much...
"Oppa, will I be able to see again?" Jinam asked.
Jimin smiled, "I don't know... Maybe one day God will bring your vision back..."
Jinam smiled, "Let's pray everyday then~"
She's such a innocent child... Jimin thought. He wished he could be like her...
Jimin nodded and said, "Of course... And after I debut we can live on our own and we don't have to cause Uncle Park trouble anymore..."
"Are we causing him trouble?" Jinam asked.
"No... I didn't mean it that way..." Jimin said, feeling guilty for saying that, "It's just we need to learn how to be independent..."
Jinam nodded, "Then we should work hard together~"
jimin laughed, "Fighting~"
"Fighting~"
The 2 children's laughter mixed together... Like voices of an angel...

Jimin fixed his shirt one more time before he went on stage, that was his first time on stage after debuting...
It was June 13th 2013... The bright future was waiting for him...
Time seemed to have washed away the sadness and pain from 5 years ago....
Jinam is now 16, walked freely on her own and yet... Gorgeous...
The only thing is that there's no emotions in her eyes, people always says "what a waste"... But Jimin thinks her sister is the prettiest girl on earth...
"Hyung~ Let's go!" Jungkook said excitedly.
"Coming! And Kookie-ah, aren't we moving tomorrow?" Jimin asked.
"Yes hyung!" Jungkook said.
Jimin has been waiting for this day forever... Debut and... become independent...
"Jinam... From now on, we are on our own now... Oppa will make you see again and also... Make you happy again..."
Jimin checked his makeup and smiled in front of the mirror... This Jimin now is a different Jimin... A better Jimin...
And... most important of all... A happy Jimin...
