Fans screamed everywhere as they finished off their performance with a wink followed up by a flying kiss. Yup. Just a wink and everyone would scream their lungs out. Meet Sonyeoniq— one of the most successful and popular girl groups in the newest Hallyu Wave.
"Good job, girls!" Cheered their manager, Seowon, as she happily bounced around wanting to also feel the sweet victory possessing the glass-made trophy.
"Be thankful, this is your 4th win in all consecutive nominations!" One of the staff exclaimed from afar, even though he wants to be part of the scene right now, he needs to prepare things up.
The girls giggled as they hug together along with few members part of the staff. It was a long and comforting hug as if they never want to let go anytime soon and go for a break first after a tiring performance but they still have their last one.
"Okay, sorry to say but we don't have time for this, come on girls, prepare yourselves. We only have 2 hours left for the concert in KaiBaiBo Arena! Move, move, move."
It's their manager who first broke from the hug and clasped her hands together repeatedly for the girls to prepare for their next itinerary.
After taking a break for about two short minutes and by that 'break' it means catching their breath and drinking more water to keep them hydrated. They headed out to ride on their personal van for their next destination all with scrunched up faces and sweat dripping everywhere as if they're soaked up into pure exhaustion. Wonder why fans are still obsessed though they look absolutely haggard.
The members sat down to find their comfy seats by pair, the usual, except for their leader who is beside their manager, as always. Sometimes the seat plan can be switched depending on their moods and condition. But most of the time it will go something like this— Inna and the manager on the very front; Mar and Yuki behind; and lastly, Lili and Yri at the very back. For now, Lili decided to sit beside Yuki and Mar beside Yri.
Margaux intently digs up inside her mini bag looking for something until she gave up with a heavy sigh and slowly turned with a sheepish smile to the girl beside her.
"Yri, can I. . . borrow your earphones?" She asked, still with that grin on her face. That's right; she must've lost her earphones. . . again.
"Let me guess," her groupmate smirked with a cocky look, "you lost them again?"
She just nervously laughed and scratched her head withyet another sheepish smile making Yri laugh too. She has already committed she'll never borrow her earphones and swore she'll be more responsible but guess not. So Yri pulled out something from her pocket and carefully placed each plugs in her forgetful friend's ears with a wide smile making Margaux a bit embarrassed as she remembered the exact words of her oath but Yri paid no heed about this. It doesn't really matter as she already knew she's going to lose them again.
"Lili, start the V App now." Yri then turned to Lili who is sitting beside Yuki, eating chips together quietly as if they're trying not to catch anyone's attention but eventually, all of them knew about the snack they're hiding, but none cared less, it's just that they're not hungry to gobble up something right now.
"I'm sooooo tired." She complained as she gave her the device lazily and continued to chomp on her chips. Yri would never ask Yuki to do something for her as she knew nothing will happen, literally.
As she unlocked the mobile, she quickly started up the application and smiled as a greeting to all of the fans. She would always be the one to start up a conversation with the fans, seemingly the one who is the most attached to her fans. Not that the other members hate the fans because they all love them, but it's Yri who would constantly turn to the fans whether it is extremely important or just drop by to say dumb things or random drama.
"Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!" She waved as soon as the stream started. Hundreds of comments coming from the fans quickly filled the comments section with a lightning speed that the application got a bit laggy for a second.
"Heeeeeeeeey!" The other members also waved seeing their faces exposed on-screen. They're not even afraid to show their bare faces, after all, what's to hide?
Starting off with a big clap, Yri leaned closer to get a good look on the comments, "First of all, thank you so much guys for our 4th win today in Music Bank. Without you, we could even barely make it to the nominees." Yri continued with a warm smile as her eyes darted from one comment to another.

They read the comments out loud with a grin on their faces. They even laugh at the ridiculous comments. Yri couldn't even remove the smile on her face— for her, fans are not just 'fans' but somehow deep in her heart, they're a part of her now. Thinking about it, she just wants to hug each and every one of them.
"I actually want to say more but right now," she looked at their leader to ask her where they are headed next in which she answered in a very low voice, obviously tired, making the fans difficult for them to make out something from what she's saying so Yri repeated, "we're on our way to KaiBaiBo Arena for the concert!"
"We're really sorry but I hope you don't mind if we take a rest first? This day is really tiring." Lili tried her best to give out a wide smile as always but all that came out is a faint smile, apparently from exhaustion.

"Thank you for understanding our situation. See you there in KBB Arena, okay? Take good care of yourselves too, our dearest Youniqorns!" Yri exclaimed with a hand sign of 'Fighting!' And the other members did the same as they waved goodbye with a kiss on the screen before turning off the livestream.
All of them then decided to take a good nap first until they reach their next destination and perform for the final time this day so they're really going to need energy for that.
Once again, this V App is one of the most efficient ways for them to communicate with their 'Youniqorns' real-time anytime and anywhere they want to.
As always, Yri would be the last one to close her eyes and rest, just when her phone beeped so she quickly searched for it inside her bag to check on who messaged her— probably someone to congratulate them for their 4th win. But actually that's not the reason why she's so excited; there's only 'one' person that she wants to congratulate them— or her.

She couldn't help but smile like a complete idiot reading that short message. Although it was short and simple, it meant the whole world to her, no kidding. Everytime one of the members would text her no matter how plain and nonsense it is, she would always feel butterflies inside her stomach. Yes, this girl idol right here is close with this boy group since she's such a huge fangirl of them. The other members weren't that close to the other group— not that they hate them or anything but since both of the groups are well-known, they can hardly interact with each other. But not with Yri— as huge fan, she collected all of her remaining guts to talk to them the first time she saw them in real life. And up until now, it's still hard for her to believe they're so approachable and nice that in a short span of time, she managed to become so close to them! And no, she's not a sasaeng fan— she actually treats them like normal friends so some of the fans are okay with this, and some are not.
She replied a 'thank you' message to them, still grinning like an idiot and pressed the home button to look at her wallpaper. Another smile was formed as she stared at her screen wallpaper— it's a smiling Jimin. Yup. Park Jimin is her ultimate bias. They don't really have 'something' for each other but she's happy and completely satisfied with them just being close friends.
Besides, fans already know about this and she's happy that they are also happy for them, but it can't be helped that some bashed them for their friendship, insisting that they're already dating. But she paid no heed to this as she also have experienced this feeling back when she's still a 'normal' fangirl.
"Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fangirl but that's just it."
For countless interviews, this is rather becoming her most used line. It sucks how netizens and showbiz media are so curious and interested about them that's why it's no surprise almost in all of the group's appearances, they would try to spill some beans— unfortunately, Yri has already made her oath in exchange for their friendship— ChaemChim will never ever happen.
After about a minute of admiring his perfection, she finally locked her phone so that she can finally take her nap and restore energy for the last performance. Besides, all of the members are now resting, so she should too. But the very moment she shut her eyes, her phone rang making her wide-eyed and smile like an idiot. Why?
Caught in a lie~
It's Jimin singing. She didn't even bothered to look on whoever is calling because she just wants to hear his beautiful voice.
After the chorus, the music stopped so she reached for her phone to finally check on who just called her.
One missed call: My life <3
The moment she read the name inside her head, she gasped in an exaggerated manner and covered her mouth.
"Fck." She muttered under her breath, and without a warning, she screamed, waking the other members up with pure panic and confusion written all over their faces. Not sure if the driver also got scared.
"What the heck, Yri?" Yuki glared at her like she's straight up to pierce through her poor soul.
"Did we crash onto something!?" Mar looked at her as she felt her heart palpitating from nervousness and soon all of them did, except for Lili who is fast asleep.
"Are you hurt, Yri?" Their manager calmly asked with a hoarse voice but still with a worried expression. Sure, she got a great shock from it but she needs to stay calm or she'll lose her temper.
Yri started flapping her hands again as she would always do whenever she hyperventilates from fangirling before answering them and would even make weird noises.
"Jimin called!"
She finally answered, but fainted with a dramatic sigh.
They all groaned in unison with scrunched up faces, "We shouldn't have asked."
"But I missed the call!" Yri yelled even more and pulled her hair like crazy, "I'm such a terrible person!" She dramatically sniffed and started to act like she's about to cry.
"Not again." Inna face-palmed and chuckled to herself as she turned to look at their manager's watch and check for remaining more time to snooze.
"Let her be." The manager just chuckled, still with a groggy voice as they all went back to their nap as if nothing happened. Of course, they're kinda used to her fangirling but her screams are just really alarming to be dismissed just like that.
Making sure that she's not going to disturb anyone, Yri mustered up all the courage she can get before dialing up his number. It must be really embarrassing and disappointing for a fan like her. She knows she can always hear Jimin's voice in her music playlist or whenever she watches their videos but his voice through call is something she should never ever miss out. . . and she did.
"Hello?" He answered.
No one responded. Why? You guessed it, Yri Beatriz is hyperventilating again.
"Chemmy?" Ah, this name again. It's only Jimin who calls her by this name.
"J-Ji-Jim. . . J-Ji-" She stuttered, reaching for something to grasp to contain all her feels.
"Chemmy? What's wrong? Are you okay? Should I go to your dorm and check on you?" The signal seemed so strong because his voice through the call is so crystal clear as if he's really talking to her personally.
"N-No! I-I. . . I w-was j-just. . ." She pulled her phone away to squeal 'shtshtshtshtshtsht' on her pillow.
"J-Jimin I- uhh. . . S-sorry I w-was. . . I j-just wanna t-thank y-you f-for. . . C-congratul-lat-ting u-us. . ."
"No problem, you did a great job! By the way, you looked so pretty a while ago in your performance." Based on his tone of voice, it sounded like he's grinning while saying this. And again, she looks like she's going to burst out anytime soon that she even threw the pillow to no particular direction, ending up into Lili's face, luckily, she's still in her dreamland.
"T-thank y-you. . ." She chuckled nervously and started wheezing.
"Are you okay, Chem?"
"Y-yeah." She slapped her face repeatedly and did all of her best to make the wheezing disappear as she suffers from it everytime she's fangirling. Poor her.
"I'm sorry I just- I just got nervous you called."
Jimin chuckled on the other line, "It's not like I'm going to kill you or something."
"But you already did— you slayed my existence."
"No, I mean— never mind." This time, she did a deep breathe in and breathe out as Jimin's still not speaking.
"Are you going somewhere?"
"Hmm, yeah." She replied and rubbed her hands together first and inhaled from it, still trying to calm herself down, "Actually, we still need to perform for our last concert today in KBB Arena."
"Oh. Good luck there! Please don't stress yourself, okay? Maybe I should just end this call so that you can at least relax for a whi—"
"No no no! You don't need to. It's fine, really."
"You sure? But I want you to be okay."
"I AM okay. As long as I'm talking to you, I'm good."
"You're still so cheesy, Chemmy."
She swore she mentally punched herself after realizing just now what she has said but she needs to keep her cool.
"Says the one who always compliments me."
She heard him laugh again on the other side of the line making her smile to herself.
An awkward silence. . .
"Uhh. . . Should I end this call now?"
"No no please noooo."
"Wow, do you miss me so much, Chem?"
"Come on, we haven't talked in a while."
That sounds so desperate but not wanting another awkward silence, Yri quickly thought of something to say.
"How are the boys doing?"
"Want to talk to them right now?"
"Sure."
Weird noises can be heard right now, clearly excited to talk to her.
"Chaemiiiiiinie~" As she can tell their voices apart, she knew it's Hoseok she's hearing now.
"Hey Chem, I heard you hyperventilate just right now." Definitely Kim Namjoon.
"N-no! I j-just. . ."
"She's stuttering~" Taehyung teased making everyone laugh except for Jimin. She knows how Jimin's laugh sounds like.
"Hey, don't tease her like that." Jimin commanded and the members just go 'Ohhh~'
"Boyfriend is shy!"
Another laughter again. Poor Taehyung, Yri is sure going to beat him again for teasing her.
"Tell me if you're getting uncomfortable and I'll hang up."
"Nooo!" She insisted, "I still want to hear your voice. . .-ces. Your voices." She coughed nervously.
"Pfft, you're not fooling anyone, Chem! Not even the sleeping Yoongi!" Uh oh, Seokjin's hyena laugh again.
"Aishh. I'll just go out."
"Ohh~ he's going to confess!"
"Yah! Shut up, Taehyung!" He hissed but let out a laugh as the other members also laugh but almost inaudible, figures Jimin is walking away from them. After a couple of footsteps heard from the other line. . .
"Chemmy."
"Hm, Jimin?"
"Do you want me to sing for you?"
"Sure, if I fall asleep, just hang up the call, okay?"
Yri blushed a deep shade of red from the overwhelming feeling and smiled to herself like crazy, almost ripping the corners of her mouth from all the grinning she did today as she heard him warming up his voice.
