Marriage Is Happiness

[7PM] It was a long day of work and it was time to leave the company. When i walked out of the company, i saw Daehyun standing there next to his car. I came towards him and went into his car. We drove off to the restaurant to have dinner together. We walked up to the front of the restaurant and i noticed some of my family members going inside of the place. I wonder what was going on and then i saw Daehyun greeting people like they were his family members. So i asked him once everyone went inside…

Yoori (*asks) : you didn't invite our whole family, did you ?
Daehyun : i might’ve.
Yoori (*asks) : why ???
Daehyun : i wanted everyone to meet before the actual wedding, get to know each other.
Daehyun : We are going to be one whole family very soon.
Yoori : i would have prepared myself if i knew this was happening tonight.
Yoori (*asks) : why didn't you tell me ?
Daehyun : i'm sorry. I wanted to surprise you. Please don't be mad at me Yoori.
Yoori : i'm not mad at you.
Yoori (*asks) : how did you even get my whole family here ?
Daehyun : my mom called your mom and word got around the two families.
Yoori : alright. We better go inside, everyone’s waiting for us.

I walked into the restaurant with Daehyun. When we walked in, everyone was there in their seats waiting for us. With everybody there, our families put together were so big. They were happy to meet each other and talked like they were already close to one another. Daehyun’s family members were there : his dad (Minwoo), his mom (Chaeyoung), older sister and two kids (Hyemi, Soyi, Sojung), his brother (Sangyong), and two youngest sister (Jangmi and Dahee). Then there’s my family : my mom (Sooah), my older brother (Hyunwoo), my sister-in-law and two kids (Hyemi, Jakyung, Jaeun), and my oldest sister (Mae). Everyone was so happy being together and talking. It was crowded, i admit.

After dinner was over with the entire family, everyone went home. Daehyun and I took a walk in the neighborhood to talk.

Yoori : that was something new.
Daehyun (*smiles & says) : something we both have to get used to.
Yoori : our families are both something special.
Daehyun : you know, we have something in common when it comes to family.
Yoori (*smiles & asks) : and what is that ?
Daehyun : we have brothers, sisters, nieces, mother.
Yoori : but not a father, well not me of course.
Daehyun : Yoori. You don't have to talk about it if it makes you feel pain.
Yoori : i know.
Daehyun : i thought that i wouldn't see you again after meeting you at the park that night.
Yoori : well, our moms brought us together again. People call it fate, you know.
Daehyun : i’m really glad that we are doing this, for our families of course.
Yoori : yeah, me too. Our lives will be different from today onwards.
Daehyun : right.
Daehyun (*asks) : is there a place you wanted to travel to on our honeymoon ?
Yoori : Europe. I always wanted to.
Daehyun (*asks) : where in Europe ?
Yoori : it really doesn't matter to me. As long as we’re both happy together.
Daehyun : okay. I’ll arrange a flight after the wedding ceremony.
Yoori (*asks in shock) : just like that ? you can automatically do that ?
Daehyun : of course. I can do anything.
Yoori : you know that i don't need you to buy anything fancy for me.
Yoori : I just need you to be here with me, together.

A week went by. I was so caught up with work at the company that i didn't have time to plan my wedding. There were videos shot back to back on the company schedule. I also had to help Sunmi do an outline for an upcoming music video shoot. Everyday that i got home from work, i always fall asleep on my bed. Sometimes, i don't even eat dinner or go home. I just sleep at the office. So my soon to be mother-in-law and mom planned the entire wedding with me approving on a few things.
