Marriage Is Happiness

[WEDNESDAY, 8AM] I had gotten up that morning to go into the kitchen to make myself a cup of coffee. The apartment was quiet so i was assuming that Mae was already off to work early that morning. She did say last night that she had a case to work on this morning and had to come in for work. I was a bit worried for her because she hasn't been resting well nor got any sleep these past couple of weeks. I went into my room to get dressed and gotten ready for work myself. I wore a light teal shirt, black dress pants, black blazer over it, a long necklace that complimented everything well, with my hair down.

As i gotten ready to go to work around the apartment, my mom called me on the phone.

Yoori (*answers the phone) : Oh omma.
Sooah (*asks over the phone) : how are you Yoori ?
Yoori : i’m fine, just getting ready to go to work.
Sooah : there's something i've been wanting to talk to you, your sister, and brother about.
Yoori (*asks) : what is this about ?
Sooah (*asks) : can we all meet somewhere tonight for dinner ?
Yoori : sure.
Sooah : i’ve already talked to your brother and sister about tonight. They agreed to have dinner tonight.
Yoori : okay.
Sooah : i’m also going to be in Seoul all day today.
Yoori (*asks) : why ?
Sooah : i’m going to meet my friend from high school.
Yoori : okay. We’ll see each other then.

I walked out of my apartment and to the bus station which was a 10 minute walk. I took a bus to work and began working in my office. We didn’t have any schedule for today so i stayed in my office to make some phone calls for a new project. After a while later, Sunmi came into my office to talk to me about something.

Sunmi : Hey Yoori.
Yoori (*smiles & says) : Hey.
Sunmi : the website has been updated and there are already so many views.
Yoori : that’s great news.
Sunmi : also, i began editing Miss Han Siyeon’s script.
Yoori (*asks) : what did you think about it ?
Sunmi (*hesitates & says) : well…..
Yoori (*asks) : it’s terrible, isn’t it ?
Sunmi : i don’t want to be mean but it’s not good.
Sunmi : the idea is good and it's there but the content isn’t.
Sunmi : you once told me in order to make a story better, you must add everything it needs.
Yoori (*asks) : in this case, everything is added ?
Sunmi : all of it. I don’t know how to fix it.
Yoori : i’ll help you with it. Bring your things here and we’ll work on it together.
Sunmi : thanks Yoori.
Yoori : i’m here to help.

I spent all day in the office with Sunmi helping her fix the script to make it much better. I have to say that Miss Han Siyeon is good at her job as the CEO of the film company but she can’t write for her life. Not to be mean but it’s the truth.

Yoori’s mother, Sooah, and Daehyun’s mother, Chaeyoung met at a coffee shop in Seoul. They spent time talking and catching up with each other when they came across an interesting topic.

Chaeyoung (*asks) : so are your kids all married yet ?
Sooah : my oldest kid got married and has 2 kids with his wife.
Chaeyoung (*asks) : your son Hyunwoo ?
Sooah : yes.
Sooah (*asks) : how about you ?
Chaeyoung : my oldest daughter, Hyemi, got married a long time ago but husband passed away.
Chaeyoung : she has a daughter now.
Sooah : that’s great too.
Chaeyoung : me and Minwoo Oppa are most worried about Daehyun.
Chaeyoung : i feel like with his situation, he won’t ever get married to anyone he likes.
Sooah : i feel the same for my youngest, Yoori.
Sooah : She’s always caught at work, has no social life, or a relationship.
Sooah : i’m really worried for her Unnie.
Chaeyoung : maybe Daehyun and Yoori can get married. They are still young and can fall in love someday.
Chaeyoung : and might have kids together.
Chaeyoung : Minwoo Oppa would love this idea a lot. Our two families can be one whole family.
Sooah : the land has so much to do. I don’t think i have the money to have a wedding.
Sooah : it’s too much.
Chaeyoung : our family will help you keep the land together.
Sooah : you know that you're doing so much for me. You being here is great.
Sooah : i wouldn't ask you to do that.
Chaeyoung : i left you alone years after high school. I want to make it up to you.
Sooah : this would mean our families would collide into one.
Sooah (*asks) : are you sure its what you want Unnie ?
Chaeyoung : of course.
Chaeyoung : You’ve been there for me since we were kids and i haven't been there for you lately.
Chaeyoung : i want to do the exchange.
Sooah : okay.
Chaeyoung : we’ll keep in touch very soon.
