A K-pop Idol's Guide to Surviving a Zombie Apocalypse

It's a free world

Okay, Donghyuk, you've had too many goes. (And I thought we were complaining about Jungkook having too many chapters?) My turn. Vroom vroom! MC Doyoung, at your service. (Yes, hyung, I know this isn't a variety show but it makes it much more enjoyable!)

Right. We were waiting outside the apartment. Losing track of time, as the sun was creeping lower and lower down. We all saw it. But I guess they thought like me - I didn't want to move yet, not until we'd found the others.

But we had to move before it became dark.

And my legs were turning numb.

I turned and nudged Taeil hyung. "We need to go," I whispered. He frowned, but didn't say anything for a while, before sighing and tapping the others on the shoulder, beckoning.

Most of them didn't move.

He sighed. "Come on. We can't rescue them if we've been eaten by zombies because we were out at night," he said quietly, and I found suddenly that my body didn't want to move from its locked position. I felt like if I moved even half a centimeter, the zombies would sense us and ... I don't know what they'd do. Eat us?

Ew.

Somehow Taeil hyung got Yuta moving, who got Winwin moving, who got Taeyong moving, who got Jaehyun moving, who got blah blah blah. And then we realised we had no idea where to go.

"Let's just hide in a tree," Haechan attempted a joke (and failed, as usual). Taeyong mused quietly for a few seconds. "It's too cold to spend outside, too risky. Is there a shop somewhere? A hut, maybe?"

"Only the big supermarket," Jaehyun shook his head. I added, "And I think somewhere with two exists would be good. " Because if there was something worse than being chased, it was being trapped.

"House?" Winwin pointed at a nearby house, then shrugged. "How do we get in?"

"Just break in," sighed Haechan from his post as a look out. "I swear there's a corner shop somewhere, that'll do if we barricade it somehow. And there's food."

"We won't have to pay." I giggled a bit, but it sounded slightly creepy, even to me.

"It's a free world now," Haechan responded.

Taeyong threw one last anxious look back at the apartment, seemingly torn. "Okay. Find a corner shop or a small building. But it has to be nearby." Yuta frowned. "But if there's so many peo- um ..." he halted, not knowing what to call them. "Zombies? Here, isn't it a bit ... dangerous?"

But nobody answered him, probably because we all knew the answer. In case the others find us.

"Look on the bright side," offered Mark. "No schedules tomorrow."

"Yeah ... Haha ..." Johnny have a somewhat forced laugh, them quickly quietened after a look at the zombies milling around the building. "We'll need to be quick. The sun's going down fast." The shadows were already creeping over the streets and there was no way I was going to stay out here any longer.

"Okay. Come on." Taeyong hyung took one last look at the crowd, then turned and started walking through the shadows by the walls down the street. "Stick together. We'll find something. Somehow."
