By the end of the afternoon, me and Lila finished with the dresses and tuxedos at the store. We all headed back to the lake house to rest up.

[8PM] I finished taking a nap and woke up to go downstairs. I didn't see anyone in the house. It was completely empty. I looked around everywhere for people and ended up looking at the lake outside. I sit on the edge of the wood with my feet in the water. The air felt so nice at night and relaxing was the greatest feeling. I could see the stars in the sky at night and it looked amazing. I loved it. Then Ryan comes from behind taking a seat next to me and we spent some time talking to each other.

Ryan (*asks) : how was your nap?
Jane : it was the greatest feeling.
Ryan (*smiles & says) : I'm glad you got some rest.
Jane (*asks) : what about you? What did you do?
Ryan : i watched a movie in the living room.
Jane : that sounds like fun.

I smile as i looked up at the sky to the stars. I could feel Ryan looking at me with a smile. Then i turned my head towards Ryan and looked at him. I asked him…

Jane (*asks) : why are you looking at me like that ?
Ryan : you're very pretty when you smile.

I got shy for a moment and ask him back…

Jane (*asks) : do you always compliment all the girls you dated like this ?
Ryan : it's been a long time since i've dated someone.
Jane (*asks) : oh really ? how long was that ago ?
Ryan : it was years ago when i married my wife.
Jane (*asks) : your married ?
Ryan : i was. My wife Lonna passed away 3 years ago.
Ryan : i haven't dated since the day she was gone.
Jane : i'm sorry to hear that Ryan.
Ryan : it's alright.
Ryan (*asks) : what about you ?
Jane : i dated a guy for two years and i ended it because he broke my heart.
Jane : we did everything a couple did together and i couldn't trust him anymore.
Ryan (*asks) : what did he do ?
Jane : he lied about going to a club and cheated on me with another girl.
Jane : that's when i stopped believing in love. And i focused on work more.
Ryan : well, i think you did great in ending the relationship with him.
Ryan : you don't deserve someone like him.
Jane (*smiles & says) : i thought that too.
Ryan : let's forget about this.
Jane : sounds good.
Ryan (*asks) : are you hungry ?
Jane : sort of.
Ryan : come on, let's go inside. I’ll make you something to eat.
Jane : okay.

Ryan walked me inside of the lake house and sat me down on the stool in front of the kitchen sink. For the last 15 minutes, i watched him cook food for me. He looks so passionate in cooking that i didn't realize that cooking is his job. Oh my gosh, i think i'm falling in love with him. What am i doing? I can't feel this way. I can't love again. Once Ryan was done cooking the food, he placed the plate in front of me with the silverware. I looked at the plate for a second and began to eat. I could feel him looking at me waiting for an answer. I took a bite and it was delicious. I looked up at Ryan and said…

Jane : it's really good.
Ryan (*asks) : oh really ?
Jane : yeah, i'm serious.
Ryan : well, i'm glad that i'm doing my job right.
Jane : you should really add this dish on the wedding menu this weekend.
Ryan : Lila wouldn't like it.
Jane : well i like it.
Jane (*says & asks) : speaking of which, have you seen everybody else ?
Ryan : everyone went to have dinner together at this new restaurant near here.
Jane (*asks) : why didn't you go ?
Ryan : i wanted to say here and wait for you to wake up so i could make you dinner.
Jane (*asks in curiosity) : you were worried for me ?
Ryan : of course.

It got awkward for a moment then Ryan says to me making me blush.

Ryan : by the way, you look pretty in the maid of honor dress.
Jane (*smiles & says) : thank you. Your not so bad yourself.
Ryan (*smiles & says) : thanks.

I held the fork and we both looked at each other in the eyes. A few minutes later, a group of people came into the house noisily. I guess they were back from dinner. I stopped looking at Ryan and continued to eat shyly. He also looked the other way trying to clean up the kitchen area. We were both so shy of each other and didn't know what to do but did our things when the others came walking into the room. Lila and Kai walked into the kitchen where we were and questioned what we were doing.

Lila (*asks Jane & Ryan) : whatcha guys doing ?
Ryan : i was just making Jane some dinner.
Kai (*says to Jane) : i see that you have woken up from your nap.
Jane (*smiles & says) : yeah, fully awake.

A silence came upon the four of us and there was no response. Me trying to be less awkward gets up from my seat after finishing my food and brought the plate to the sink. I left it there and went upstairs to hide from the awkwardness. I leaned behind the door of the bedroom and held my hand over my heart. I felt it pounding like crazy and it was that feeling again. My face was burning up and i went to take a quick shower. Once i was done showering, i came back downstairs to the backyard to sit under the stars. I looked up again and smiled at today. Lila came out in her pajamas and sat next to me. We had our girl talks and i had told her everything, what i was feeling inside.

Lila : i see that you and Ryan are getting along now.
Jane (*smiles & says) : he's not as bad as i thought he was going to be.
Lila (*asks) : it was that bad, wasn't it ?
Jane : he’s a different person when he’s with me.
Jane (*asks) : is it wrong ?
Lila : to him, your special. That's why.
Jane : i feel like i could talk to him about anything and not get judged for it.
Jane : like how we talk to each other.
Lila : i think you're starting to fall for him.
Jane : i told myself that i wouldn't fall in love again ever since that incident.
Jane : i can't help it but i don't know if Ryan feels the same way.
Lila : i have a feeling he does.
Jane : i want to be sure so i won't make the same mistake as last time and get my heart broken.
Jane : i'm sorry Lil. this week was suppose to be all about you and Kai.
Lila : dont be sorry. You are feeling something you haven't felt in a long time.
Lila : that's the Jane that i know.
Lila : i'm going to head to bed first. Don't stay up too late, we have another day tomorrow.
Jane (*smiles & says) : okay.

Lila stood up to walk away when i said that made her stop and turn back to look at me.

Jane : thanks Lila.
Lila (*smiles at Jane & says) : i will always be here if you need me.
Jane : i know.

Lila officially left into the house. I sat there by the lake for a short while and went back into the house to the bedroom. When i walked into the room, i saw Ryan falling asleep on the bed. So i didn't want to disrupt him and slept on the floor for the night. As i laid there, i smiled happily cuddly into the blanket. I thought about how much Ryan cared for me and felt the love between us. I was a little girl all over again and fell in love. I looked up at the ceiling and wondered if Ryan was sleeping yet. He didn't make any sounds so i was assuming that he wasn't sleeping yet. So i spoke up to ask him…

Jane (*whispers asking) : are you sleeping yet ?
Ryan (*mumbles) : no.

Then i heard Ryan turn around facing his face to look up at the ceiling. I say…

Jane (*smiles & says) : today was an amazing experience.
Jane : I'm happy that i got to help fix the dresses and tuxes.
Ryan (*asks) : so you're a fashion designer ?
Jane : yes.
Jane (*asks) : you're a chef ?
Ryan : yeah.
Jane : we’re changing the world one day at a time with our talents.
Jane : nothing gets better than that.
Ryan (*smiles & says) : i couldn't agree with you more.
